Duncan would listen as the woman made clear that she had unfortunately known very little. Her words did little to help pinpoint a direction to begin their search, so it was unfortunate that the group would very likely need to split up simply to cover more ground faster. It would seem as though Lord Raikage Ichigo was of a like mind, to which Duncan would offer a respectful bow before breaking off with Hiroki as instructed. Right before they all moved out, Hiroki would offer a telepathy seal in order to better allow them to coordinate and communicate. It was a good idea, especially considering the conditions. Yelling might get swept up in the howling winds and it was very easy to find oneself lost in the sea of snow, your own footprints quickly filled by the raging blizzard. 

The pair didn't say much, instead focused almost entirely on getting the task done. Duncan pondered at just what it was his comrade was, noting that the man held both the trademark techniques of the Senju along with those Sharingan eyes belonging to the Uchiha clan. Many ninja sought power through various means, one notable method the merging of various bloodlines or kekkei genkai into one host. The large man had seen the horrible, yet awesome powers one could achieve through the use of such methods. Both Youka Tau and Maku Jemezu used such methods to amass power, and both were some of the most terrifying men that the giant had ever met.

The pair quickly caught sight of shards of broken ornaments, clearly signs of something amiss. It was hard to think of a reason these would be out here other than having fallen out of the pack of this "Grinch". Couple that with the fact that they were not completely buried in the snow by the storm and it suggested that it wasn't long ago that these were dropped. "Sloppy indeed. Must have realized that we were on his trail. Those shards are laying on top of the snow, meaning they haven't sat long enough to be buried under the fresh snow of the storm." 

They would find themselves at a house, the trail having led here. Hiroki figured it best to regroup before an assault. The giant would crack his knuckles and neck, readying himself for a fight. Duncan didn't think that regrouping was actually needed, but he considered Hiroki as his superior considering the young man's status as a Chuunin. Hell, even a genin would outrank him in his mind. Until he regained his status and proved himself in the eyes of the village, he was just an ex-convict. 

Once they regrouped and Hiroki took to his entrance from the second level window, Duncan would walk up to the door and check the handle. It was locked, but at the end of the day it was just a little board of wood and he would burst through it with ease. It would seem as though the "Grinch" had been expecting company though, as a smoke bomb trap would go off, clouding the area in smoke. Unfortunately for the criminal, Duncan wasn't really hampered by this. He would shove through the space and grab hold of the criminal. Lifting him off his feet, Duncan considered just crushing the man's neck but something in him decided upon mercy. The man would need to atone for his crimes and reflect on them. It was then that the little bastard thrust a knife into the forearm of the giant. A bit stunned by their audacity, the giant would fling them into the wall of the house right beside the doorframe. The impact was quite forceful, enough to cause the frame to audibly crack under the impact. 

If that wasn't enough to knock the man out, there was also the two other Kumo ninja right there, one of which was the Raikage. This thief stood no chance of making it out of the situation he found himself in.

Once the policeman was patched up and the thief apprehended, Duncan would follow his fellow Kumo brothers. Perhaps there were more things to do here in this strange place.
