Barbed Shuriken

Name: Barbed Shuriken
Appearance:  A four-pointed star shuriken, which is 12 centimeters across in circumference. Each of the four spade-like spikes are 4 centimeters wide at its widest point, and there are gaps of which allow the shuriken to be safely held by someone who knows what they're doing. At the center of the shuriken is a hole, two centimeters in diameter. Finally, barbs stick out halfway from each point, which are two centimeters long, and as thick as the blade itself.

Backstory: The insidious design of these shuriken were made in order to keep wounds open in the Fūma Clan's enemies, and potentially cause greater harm if they were to try and remove the shuriken improperly.

Trait: Barbs - If this shuriken is able to penetrate the target, and consequentially surpass its DR, it will become embedded into them. As a result, they will suffer 5 points of damage for each post they go without pulling them out if they are a living target due to blood loss, and only if the part of the body with the shuriken is currently being utilized, pressured, or incidentally moved in some way. When they attempt to pull them out, as the barbs will rip through whatever part of the body/object is resisting its pull from the inside, it'll cause 10 points of damage, but will no longer have continuous damage; however, if you have the proper knowledge to remove them, you receive no damage. Additionally, trying to even use these without knowing of its mechanics will result in the user taking 5 points of damage, since they do not know the proper way to wield them, and will stab themselves with the barbs, though this action will not embed it into their skin. Any damage done through the effects of "Barbs" cannot be negated through DR.
