Name: Pirate Hat
Appearance: A large brimmed leather hat with a feather sticking out of the top. It can be found in a variety of colors.


Backstory: Pirates spend almost all of their days out at sea, meaning that they are under near-constant assault by the harsh rays of the sun. Needing something to protect themselves from this, they developed the practice of wearing these fashionable wide hats to protect them from the sun's heat.

Arrrgh Me Hearty: While this item is actively being worn, the wearer will notice that all the words that they speak are now spoken in the same manner that a pirate would speak. This effect is purely aesthetic and it has no adverse effects on the wearer themselves or anybody else.

Set Bonus - Polly Wants A Cracker: If this item is worn with the "Pirate Jacket" and "Pirate Boots" items, a bonus effect takes place. While all three are worn a spectral parrot of the wearer's description will appear on their shoulder. It is capable of communicating with humans and is always sassy to friends and foes alike. It will always stay on the wearer's shoulder and is purely aesthetic; disappearing at the soonest sign of a fight, only to return with a witty remark, or maybe a choice swear.
