Festival Set up

Mission Details:

This Yoi guy was a real Yule time slave driver.....these were the thoughts Asahi was having as he moved through the ever rising mounds of snow. Who would even come to such a place to participate. Still though, even has he had had those thoughts more and more individuals seemed to appear from no where. He had arrived in mysterious circumstances, and the strangeness had never really slowed down from there. Different jobs and tasks, some he felt outside his own scope of practice as a minor villages shinobi, and yet they had been given to him all the same.

As he could feel the sweat on his back despite the cold wind on his face, only one thing maintained his cheery nature, and it wasn't all the coco. He had rarely seen Yoi, his main interaction a simple letter that had brought him to this place. However, he had managed to talk to an elf that had at least some sense of authority about him. He had demanded to speak to Yoi, and in return he'd received several jobs, a cookie, and a promise that should he be of assistance then a meeting would indeed be set up for the two of them.

Luckily someone else had performed the carpentry, something he had no doubt that he would have failed in. Now he was decorating stalls with clothes, and other seasonal decorations. Greens and reds, golden stars, stripes of candy canes littered the area. His hands delicately made sure that the clothes that made up the majority of the cheaply, yet sturdy elf built booths didn't get lost to the wind. He wanted no reasons for Bernard the head elf to pull back on his word. It would be just like a pointy eared bastard to say a job well done didn't grant him an audience.

As he worked, his mind drifted to the surrounding area. It was Moon Country, a real place....yet the area had a magic about it that he doubted was a coincidence. Yoi.....the name rang true in his mind, but it couldn't find its way to his tongue to express where he had heard it before. Asahi's own spiritual attunement had been pinging since he had arrived in the winter wonderland, and he had reason to believe that Yoi was not a skilled ninja who loved holidays, but rather a seasonal spirit. Not a ghost of a living creature, but something older, and something deeper.

The kamui were gods, ghosts where men, but spirits filled the in-between. He would not have such an opportunity ruined by revelry. Looking down the candy cane lane, he felt that the set up was in full swing. He was far from the only shinobi assisting, though the others motives were likely that of fiscal rather than spiritual. He continued through his work, humming songs he had no memory of, and hanging banners and mistletoe in strategic locations around the outside festival area. It wasn't a bad place to work, but he felt himself still a little homesick for the rice fields.
