Mission Details:

In a daze Taichi laid on the ground, he felt his body begin to shift after his mind began to take in the sights that surrounded him once again. He wasn’t sure what had happened to him, but he did know that he had been transported somewhere completely different than the village of Hoshigakure. He started slowly moving, until the thought of his daughters flashed into his mind like a searing blaze ripping through a drought-ridden plain. His body went into overdrive as he snapped to attention, looking all around for his daughters, or at least a familiar sight surrounding him.

Upon looking he saw that there was no familiar sight, and the only things he could see was a long forgotten wasteland. A vast expanse covered in dead trees and bogs that covered large areas of the ground. He heard a familiar groaning and he rushed over to the source of the sound. When he went around a willow tree that hung over the side of a swamp, he saw all six of his daughters lying in what looked like a pile left for dead. His eyes welled up in tears as he feared for the worst.

He leapt down into the small hole that they had been placed within, and he saw the bodies in the pile begin to sway and move. He began pulling each girl out of the pile, checking for any signs of life, and to his relief they all began to come into coherence much like he had done. They all were dazed at first, but then one by one they quickly came back to consciousness and panicking for a quick second before they saw their fellow sisters, and their father Taichi. He stood them all up and they embraced each other, all being happy that even though they were in an odd and unfamiliar place, they at least had each other as a base of sanity.

Soon after they were done reuniting, they couldn’t help but to notice the fact that they were still in an unfamiliar place and they did need to figure out just what had happened to them. They needed to understand how it was that they got to the place that they were now in, and what their purpose was for being there. Taichi was quick to chalk it up to his Rinnegan acting up, creating a portal of sorts that transported them, but unfortunately he could not be too sure of that thought.

He figured it would be best practice to have his daughter’s scan the area and begin a search party for any others that may have been transported to the same place, that way if they were not alone, they could try and protect any others that may have reached the same destination as them, under the same odd and confusing circumstances. Should he or his daughters find any other individuals that seemed to be friendly, they would bring them back to the willow tree, then from there, they would begin their investigation to see just what it was that they were supposed to be doing in this place.

Divided, but not conquered Empty Re: Divided, but not conquered

Ise woke up, dazed and confused. As he tried to get his bearings in check, he looked around, seeing that he was in an unfamiliar, as well as creepy place. The last thing that he remembered was that he was in bed sleeping, and now, he was here ... whatever here was. Ise got up on his two feet, seeing what appeared to be the top of a mansion. It was also extremely creepy in terms of appearance. That was when Ise had witnessed someone - a girl appear out from the bushes. Ise stood there in a defensive stance, however, Ise immediately dropped his stance as the girl had smiled at him, silently motioning a hand, telling him to follow her. "H-hey! wait for me!" Ise had said. Ise had the feeling that if she were an enemy, that she would have attacked by now, so he figured that perhaps she may have been an ally possibly? Either way, he wouldn’t get any answers if he just stood there like an idiot, so he figured that it’d be best to follow her.

Ise followed her, while at the same time, activating his Sharingan. When the girl who had led him to a clearing stopped in front of a big willow tree, she faced Ise once more before veering to the left, revealing a man. Ise had blinked, while making an ‘o’ face, seeing that they had the exact same eyes. Is that some sort of Doujutsu? Ise had asked, not really sure. It looked like one, but it wasn’t nice to speculate such things until they themselves confirmed that to him. With a smile, Ise walked over to the man saying, “So that’s why she had wanted me to follow her. She was leading me to you,” Ise had said, his smile immediately turning into a goofy grin. “My name is Isemori Uchiha! It’s nice to meet ya, sir!” Ise had said, raising a hand for the man to shake, still holding onto the fact that they were not his enemy.

“So, what’s your name?” Ise had said, trying to be as friendly as possible. In his opinion, it was definitely better than being paranoid; always on edge. Ise had looked around, seeing only him, the girl, and the man whom the young Uchiha introduced himself to. “Sorry, but … do you know exactly where we are? I could have sworn I was in my bed back at home, but … when I woke up, I was here … wherever here is …” Ise said, taking a good look of the surrounding area, his eyes once again focusing on the window of the mansion that was facing them in the distance. The symbol on the glass window had looked familiar to him, but yet he couldn’t understand why or how it felt familiar to him exactly. “Did I even see something like that before? C’mon, Ise. Think! It has to be important,” the silver-haired Uchiha thought to himself once more. After giving up, Ise deactivated his Sharingan, once again facing the man. “Is there anyone else here too?” Ise had asked, hoping that the guy didn’t mind all the questions. Something told him though that perhaps the man and girl didn’t know anything just as well as himself either.

Divided, but not conquered Empty Re: Divided, but not conquered

Tue Oct 12, 2021 10:18 pm
Her memory was hazy… like she could remember things but couldn’t. It was as if Emi had dreamt her time in this place and then allowed her mind to go so numb that should could not remember the specifics of what happened or who she was with. Regardless, the young kunoichi had pushed herself up off the ground and brushed herself off. She was wearing her standard clothing but also donned a cloak, a cloak that would hide her scent entirely… along with any items she carried on her person. Emi allowed her eyes to glance around as she finally was able to dust the last piece of dirt off of her.

”I wonder if there’s anyone else out here? Could I be out here all…”

As soon as Emi  was getting ready to complete that thought, she spotted what looked to be a boy.. about her age she supposed. The young genin’s vision was still blurry but she could spot this boy following a lady… a lady she didn’t recognize. ”Why”? Emi would ask herself this as her legs for some odd reason moved in that same direction. Not because she was forced to, but because she was curious as to what was going on, she needed answers and thought this may be the best way to find them out.

It wasn’t long before she noticed they stopped, and at this point, Emi could spot the other group of people clearly. They all looked like they surrounded this tree – it was then that the younger boy was introducing himself and also trying to understand what exactly was going on. ”My name is Isemori Uchiha It’s nice to meet ya, sir!” This was the first thing Emi heard as she approached the folks already near the tree. He seemed eager, Emi thought. It certainly was not a bad thing, the boy had his own unique personality and Emi admired that about him. She’d allow a few more seconds to go by before pushing forward, starting to hear more of what was being said.

”My name is Emi”. The young kunoichi replied rather gingerly as she approached the party of eight. She’d give a slight smile to try and let them know she was friendly, though she wasn’t sure if the cloak covering her would concern them or not. Emi was a bit curious as to who all the people out her were… and more specifically what they were doing here, as it still hadn’t become clear enough yet for her. The silver haired fella began to talk once more – asking rhetorical questions such as, why they were here and mentioning he was just back in his bed at home.

Emi’s golden eyes looked toward the older gentleman as Isemori had already spoke his fair share. She figured she would give this man a chance to speak and see what would be said. Maybe he had answers that she had yet to see? Maybe everyone in this group was brought here for a specific mission? Maybe it was all bullshit and they just needed to wake up from this dilusional dream. Either way, Emi wanted to see it through and understand how she could help make that happen.

Divided, but not conquered Empty Re: Divided, but not conquered

Sat Oct 16, 2021 3:47 pm
The Valkyries had found two indivduals, one seemed to be happy with the idea of following a stranger, while the other didn’t seem to be awake enough to see them at first, or maybe the Valkyries just hadn’t seen her yet, even with their advanced vision. The first child, who went by the name of Isemori was the eager one. Gunnr had brought him over to the white haired Uchiha, and he smiled slightly. There was so much going on in their world at the moment, an eerie feeling of dread, and yet this child still seemed to hold on to his sense of whimsy and joy.

He thought for a moment, until Hildr had nudged her father to come back to the world they were currently in. The older Uchiha shook his head slightly, refocusing on the children before him. He wasn’t sure how old the other child was, the one that had let herself be known to the group. He appreciated her kindness to let him speak, so he would take on the chance as it came. “If I’m being honest with you two, I am not sure just where we are or how we came to be here. But I can assure you that I will be doing my all to ensure your safety throughout the remainder of our time together. Now if you look behind me, there is a building with a certain insignia that I am unaware and unfamiliar with. I believe that these people have something to do with the fact that we have been taken from our homes. Now we are shinobi, so I trust that you all can handle your ways into the building, but unfortunately for me, I cannot leave my daughters outside, so I will be forced to go in a little louder than a typical shinobi would. But with that being said, I believe in our talents enough to carry us through.” Taichi would then turn his back to the two younger shinobi and face the building that sat behind them. He dispatched the Valkyries with messages using their telepathic link, and he readied himself to walk up to the front of the building.

As he neared the building, the two guards at the front approached him. The older Uchiha would simply act like a man that belonged in the area. He walked up to both of the guards and he simply raised his hands and spoke, “I am simply here to offer myself as a sacrifice. I have been given by my clan to this place so I can further the growth of your sect, and be given unto your deity. Please do take this gift from my clan with joy, as it is given to you in earnest.” With that, the guards seemed to be confused, but ultimately decided that they were going to need to bring him inside to have him speak with the leader from within the building. As they escorted him into the building, he would have two of his Valkyries come back to assist the children from outside, for when the time was right, they were going to be included in the storming of this building, but they were going to need to trust the older Uchiha and his Valkyries, at least for the time being.

Divided, but not conquered Empty Re: Divided, but not conquered

Sun Oct 17, 2021 12:49 am
Ise among out of the older guy, the six other women, as well the one other woman named Emi, was more than likely considered to be the ‘chatterbox of the group. Ise knew it was something that he probably needed to work on, however, Isemori was the type of guy that didn’t think all that much when it came to such things. If he wanted to be a better shinobi, then he’d have to find a way to change that, especially if he wanted to live longer as one. Regardless though, the others that were with him didn’t seem to mind that about him all too much. “If Itsuki were here though … I’d drive him bonkers,” Ise thought to himself. Just thinking about his older brother being paired up with him on a mission was actually one of the most terrifying things just about anyone, let alone Ise himself could think of. It was then, at that moment, that the older man had begun to speak.

If I’m being honest with you two, I am not sure just where we are or how we came to be here. But I can assure you that I will be doing my all to ensure your safety throughout the remainder of our time together.” The older man had begun to say, which was something Ise kind of worried about - at least him not knowing why they were all here in this unknown place. “Well, that was a bust. I was hoping that he or one of the others knew something,” Ise started thinking to himself. “However, It’s not all that bad. There’s eight of us here, so as long as all eight of us work together, I’m sure we can find answers inside that mansion,” The young Uchiha thought to himself, while continuing to listen to the older man. There was also something about the girl named Emi … as well as the man and himself. Was there a chance that Ise knew them from somewhere? “Nah. It’s impossible. I know that I don’t forget a face,”

“Now if you look behind me, there is a building with a certain insignia that I am unaware and unfamiliar with. I believe that these people have something to do with the fact that we have been taken from our homes.” The man stated in a matter-of-fact tone, which led to Ise speaking once more, but only briefly. “So, I wasn’t the only one who had the same feeling.” the young Uchiha said, having really no need to say anything else.  “Now we are shinobi, so I trust that you all can handle your ways into the building, but unfortunately for me, I cannot leave my daughters outside, so I will be forced to go in a little louder than a typical shinobi would.” Daughters? Ise thought to himself, glancing between the man and the five other girls who shared the same eyes as him. Each of their eyes had a peculiar pattern, which Ise believed it was like his Sharingan - a Kekkei Genkai. What’s more was that Ise already knew where he was implying. “He’s going to allow himself to get caught, while the rest of us infiltrate the mansion simultaneously,” The young Uchiha thought. He admitted that he didn’t like the old man’s idea, however, he understood that infiltrating the Manor with all eight of us being together would be an even worse idea.

“But with that being said, I believe in our talents enough to carry us through.” The man said, before turning his back towards them; facing the manor. Ise sat in wait for him and the others to be ready, suppressing his Chakra so that when it was time to move, the chances of them being caught would be rather slim. Since there were still four of them, it was still slightly risky with all them infiltrating the manor together. However, something told Ise that he didn’t have to worry about Emi nor the man’s daughters in that regard, so there would be no gaps in their own infiltration more than likely. The man knew what he was doing though by splitting up the group though. Sure, one would think that it’d be more ideal for a Shinobi to stay within their ranks when infiltrating an enemies base, however, everyone also knew that was actually a rookie’s mistake. Even most Genin know the basics of infiltration. Ise activated his Sharingan while he waited with Emi, and then not even ten minutes later, two of the man’s daughters returned to help them infiltrate as well as safely see them inside. “Alright, let’s do this!” Ise had said to Emi and the two other girls, while keeping his voice low rather than loud. And with that, they were now on the move.

Divided, but not conquered Empty Re: Divided, but not conquered

Emi had wondered if she made the right decision by staying quiet to let the man speak. She never really was one to have a more child like mindset and just have an enormous amount of excitement. The young genin did get that feeling from Isemori, she sort of envied it to be honest. Due to the upbringing she had with her father, she had to learn just how cruel people could be… at such a young age. The way she looks at things because of her past experiences… is sure to have nurtured her to her current state. The kunoichi would refocus herself as the man began to speak, she was eager to see what he had to say.

”If I’m being honest with you two, I am not sure just where we are or how we came to be here. But I can assure you that I will be doing my all to ensure your safety throughout the remainder of our time together”. Emi wasn’t really sure what to make of this statement from the man – she could tell that he was stronger than her and the other young ninja,  but was he so strong that he was really prepared to make that statement? The next sentence took Emi by surprised, as he mentioned that he could not leave his daughters outside, so he would be forced to take a different approach into the building. ”Did he really just say these are his daughters?? Just how old is this man? Also, I hope he doesn’t plan on being too loud, it would be nice to not be noticed”.

Emi watched as the man headed towards the building, which of course would likely signal the guards that were standing outside. Emi was a bit confused, she was sure there would have been a better way into the building than this. If you took the time to scope out the place, you’d likely find a window or even another door that wasn’t guarded that you could get in through. It didn’t matter at this point though, the man had already put his plan into motion. The kunoichi’s eyes widened a bit when the man seemed to walk right on inside with the two guards… and they didn’t have a clue he wasn’t from here. ”Very interesting”.

Emi had noticed some of the other people who had gone inside this house and they all had a very peculiar look to them, Emi had decided she’d use a transformation technique to hide her real identity so she could look more like these people. She would still don her cloak as it had the capability to her any odor that she mad be giving. It wasn’t long that two of the daughters would come outside to Emi and Ise, likely to escort them into the building.

”I don’t want to look weak in front of this group… I think I will make my way forward into the building.. but also trying to bypass the guards”.

The young genin moved out wide, out of the vision of the two guards that were standing in front of the door. As the young girl hopped onto the building next to the house, she saw a window down on the side.. and it was big enough to fit her in. ”The guards haven’t noticed me and there’s no one in this section of the house.” Emi tilted the window up just as she finished her thoughts and slid inside the building. She hoped that Isemori would get the hint earlier and see her path inside, especially since it was a safe one. The only thing now would be to make her way out of this particular room that she was in and out into the main area where everyone else was.

”Hopefully the guards don’t recognize every single person they let into the house”. Emi was sort of praying they wouldn’t just outright realize that they had not let her in the house. Lucky enough though, the room she was coming from had a bathroom and so if she was questioned, she could just say she saw the bathroom and had to go use it really quick. The young genin was fairly proud of herself though, it was her first infiltration job and she thought she did it really well, though there wasn’t a whole lot to it. Emi grabbed the door handle and opened it up softly, not trying to be too loud to make everyone notice her.

She immediately spotted the older man with the two guards as she stepped out into the main part of the house. She wasn’t sure of the exact plan from her but it looks like the two guards really didn’t care about her at all. She figured she would hang out right here until Isemori had been able to make his way into the house with the two daughters that had come back for them.

”I do feel a little bad for just leaving them behind, but I didn’t necessarily feel like waiting for something to happen”.

Mission Details:

His plan worked perfectly, the guards were letting him straight into the mansion without a singe kunai needing to be flashed or even an ounce of bloodshed. He was led into the room when he got a telepathic message from Hildr, the daughter reported that one of the children had run off, going into the house without being detected. Taichi thought on this for a moment, not letting his concern rise to the surface as he knew that would only compromise the mission. He thought to himself, “Why would she put herself in such danger when she truly didn’t need to?” He thought that maybe it was the fact that she wanted to prove her strength by going at it alone, something that could be commended, but also something to be concerned about if she was so willing to leave her party behind. Although that was something they could talk about at a later time, for now, it was time to react in the best that he could.

He was led into the mansion, and soon he was led into a room with two staircases leading up to the next floor. At the top of the room there was a throne of sorts looking down into the area that Taichi was standing in. The older Uchiha noticed that there wasn’t anyone at the throne currently, as a matter of fact the room was completely empty, at least for as far as he could see. With the two guards leading him inside being the only cultists that he could see being a problem, he had two branches quickly protrude from his body and impale the cultists, but knowing that he was going to need the robes to be intact, he decided to impale the cultists through their faces. The sound of cracking bones and ripping tendons could be heard, and if one was not used to the sound it would be quite sickening. The bodies hung there, being held up by the branches that had taken their lives.

He slowly set the cultists down and he motioned for the rest of the team to enter the mansion. He told five of his six daughters to stay back and keep watch outside, should anything else come for the mansion, they would be able to tell their father right away an they would be able to react accordingly. He could also see through their eyes, so he would be able to keep a conscious effort to make sure they weren’t going to be trailed into the mansion. Two of the daughters would use the transformation jutsu to look just like the guards that were there originally there. The other daughters would take their position on top of the roof.

With the two guards dead, they were still unnoticed within the mansion, and Taichi was going to keep it that way now that he knew the main part of the mansion was empty. He performed the tranformation jutsu, alongside Gondul. They took the form of the guards that had just been killed, threw on their robes and they began to make their way into the mansion. They weren’t entirely sure just what they were going to find, but they did keep seeing the same insignia that they saw on the front of the house. It was almost like the markings were leading them down certain hallways, leading them to a special place within the mansion.

He would continue to consult with Gondul with their telepathic link, trying to figure out the best way to move forward without being noticed. If they were asked any questions, then they would be woefully unprepared to answer any of them as they had no idea where they were, why they were there, or any type of question in all reality. They were going to have to play it by ear and that was never a thing that shinobi wanted to do. He was sure that the other two children were following closely behind, so he would continue to check on them, making sure he knew where the kids were at all times.

Divided, but not conquered Empty Re: Divided, but not conquered

Sun Oct 17, 2021 4:17 pm
Ise was all for staying with the man’s daughters. Not only because the chances of them being very skilled shinobi were rather high, but also because the young Uchiha was actually kind of curious to see whether or not their eyes were some form of Doujutsu, like his Sharingan. Truth be told, the only person aside from him that he knew of that had a Doujutsu was his older brother, and that one other Genin he met at the training grounds once. However, Emi had suddenly gone her own way, making her way inside through one of the windows in the opposite direction Ise and the two that were with him were heading. Ise had wanted to stop, and convince Emi to stick with them, but unfortunately, Ise nor the other two had neither the luxury or time to stop. Instead, Ise and the two that were with him had made their way around the back of the mansion, entering into the west wing.

Once they were inside, Ise faced the two and said, “Time for some good old fashioned transformation jutsu,” The two ladies that were with him nodded with a smile, and the three of them weaved their hand signs simultaneously, taking their own different appearances. Ise had transformed himself into one of the guards they had managed to pass by on the way inside, as did the other two. “I remember having to perform this jutsu when taking my final exam to become a genin. Who’d have thought that I’d have to use it on an actual mission, huh? Anyways, let’s get going! The sooner we reunite with your father and Emi, the better!” Ise had said while dawning his new appearance. The two girls nodded in agreement, and they both had once again led the way inside. Since they were in disguise, the two girls that were with Ise suggested that it’d be best for them to act as if they were the actual people they transformed into while also continuing to avoid any more guards as well as anything or anyone else that could potentially be inside the Mansion.

Ise nodded, completely agreeing with the two females without even giving it another thought. As they made their way out into the hallway, exiting the small room they were in. Ise noticed a familiar insignia, like the one that was engraved in the very high window he saw before splitting up with the old man and Emi. “If we keep following these, we can meet up with Emi and your father, right?” Ise had asked the other two. He wasn’t quite sure if that was the case, but when they smiled and nodded at him, Ise was actually surprised that he got something right for once. “Alright, then. Let's keep following these signs then!” The young Uchiha said, fully determined to reunite with the girl’s old man and Emi once again. From the looks of things, this portion of the manor seemed to be scarce of other guards, which allowed them to keep on pushing. However, as they made their way closer and closer towards the main hall of the manor, they started to see pale-skinned people. They seemed to not think suspiciously of them, however, Ise couldn’t help but think that they were creepy-looking.

“These guys look awful… and scary looking. Do they know how to tan?” Ise wondered to himself, while playing it cool like the girls that were in disguise along with him. That was when Ise had managed to see something from the corner of his eyes in a room with the door slightly ajar, with the aid of his Sharingan. In the room that he had passed, there was another pale-skinned person, drinking the blood from an unconscious person’s neck. “Great. These pale-skinned freaks are Vampires. Awesome,” Ise thought to himself sarcastically. He was still trying to keep his cool though, trying to not give himself away. With the two girls in disguise that were with him seemed to make it all the more easier though, which was nice as well as comforting. The young Uchiha knew that if he were alone, that there’d be no chance in hell that he’d be able to keep his cool like he was doing now. Chances are, he’d more than likely already be dead by one of the guards or having had all his blood by one of the Vampires. Either way, if the young Uchiha were alone, it wouldn’t have been the same as it was now.

Divided, but not conquered Empty Re: Divided, but not conquered

Emi waited outside of the door that she had just shut and should clearly see the man she was with and the two guards. Isemori had yet to make his entrance and Emi wasn’t how the boy planned on doing that exactly, she probably should have just stayed with the group instead of going off on her own. There were two big stairwells in the main area that went up – they also covered the door that Emi came out of, which is why she probably never was spotted after opening and closing the door, though she’s a bit surprised that’s actually the case.

The young kunoichi poked her head around the stair case to try and see if she could get a clear picture of what exactly was happening. Just as soon as she could see, she saw what looked like limbs of a tree going straight through the faces of the two body guards that had escorted the man in. Emi’s eyes widened slightly as she did not imagine that’s what she was going to see. This dude is no joke, what in the actual hell was that?” It was a shocking surprise to say the least to Emi, then she watched as he and one of his daughters transformed into both of those guards. It was a smart play, they would easily be able to move undetected throughout the house. Now that Emi was inside could see that it was a whole lot bigger than what it was on the outside.

”I need to make sure not to get on this mans bad side.. that is for sure. Oh! Looks like they may be moving.” Emi was slightly confused though at this point, she had figured that Isemori would be entering through the main door just like the other daughters… but he had yet to show up. At this time, Emi had come out behind the stairs since she was sure that there was no one dangerous at this point in the main part of the mansion. There also were these weird symbols that she noticed if you looked up the stairs and on the wall. It was unnerving to say the least. ”What did I do to end up here?”

The young girl decided it was best to stay quiet and honestly just to stay behind the silver haired man and his daughter.. who now both looked like the guards. As they made their way down the winding hallways, that hadn’t really run into any sort of trouble. Was there anyone else in this mansion? There had to be, they had seen people coming into the house while they were stationed outside. Emi’s eyes narrowed at the thought of what was happening here, because whatever it was, she didn’t want any part of it.

As they traveled down the hall, they came to a two way path, one that had the crazy symbol and one that did not. It was obvious they would be taking the path where they symbol was painted, I mean why wouldn’t they? Carefully making their way through the mansion, Emi spotted a room where there seemed to be some people. Luckily her robe would hold in any odor or smell that she or her items would secrete. ”Are they…. Feeding on people?” An uneasy look crept onto Emi’s face as she saw what was happening, this place had been infested with Vampires… something Emi had read about only in fairytales.  Luckily they had yet to be stopped by any – so the transformation techniques were working.

”Sure we are almost to where we need to be?” Of course, Emi had no idea where exactly that was at. She figured the man with the awesome looking eyes had a clue though. ”What all can he see them?”

The young kunoichi decided it was best if she kept her head down a little but still on guard, they needed to make it through this at any cost necessary. She couldn’t help but worry though… especially about Isemori. ”I hope he’s okay and knows what he is doing.”

Divided, but not conquered Empty Re: Divided, but not conquered

The first part of their mission was complete, to enter the building. Even though he was not entirely sure just why they were there, he had a feeling that the trail that he was being given had to have been from the gods. He was assured of this when he began to see different scriptural like carvings in the walls surrounding them as they began to ascend the stairs. Each step seemed to be louder than the one before, surely being made that way to alert anyone of their intrusion. While he knew that these would be an inconvenience, he had two pretty good disguises and even with the two kids in tow, he was going to use them as a means to enter by pretending they were sacrifices.

He wasn’t too sure just what to expect when he got to the top of the stairs, but when he reached that location, he was greeted by a single individual sitting on top of a throne looking seat that sat in front of a door. He didn’t know where that door led, but he was sure based on how this place was put together, that he was going to have to get into the door to progress this task and hopefully find a way back home. He grabbed the two children that were walking behind him and he simply stated, “These children are being brought as sacrifices. They just seemed to show up outside in the fields, and I believe that was a gift. I wanted to take them to the altar myself, would you reward me with this honor as I was the one who found them?” He waited to hear the response from the individual sitting on the throne, this was a total bluff as he wasn’t even sure if that was what was behind the throne, but he figured it was either try this, or kill him.

He would await the response from the man on the throne, hoping to hear something of good news. But only time would tell as to what was going to happen next.
