Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial - Page 2 Empty Re: Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial

Fri Apr 09, 2021 11:44 pm
Jigen was a tough foe for the duo, not letting them rest for one moment. Ban wasn't expecting anything less. He was jonin after all. If this guy was able to become a jonin and not be able to hold off two genins, then he would be screwed as a leader and death would be nothing but natural for his future. She wouldn't think this if she also didn't hold herself to this kind of standard. If she to become jonin in her lifetime, then she would have to prove herself.

In tandem with the explosion, Jigen stomped his foot against the ground. At first, it was odd but would soon see it was the earth-shaker techinque. The ripples of the earth shaking and rise around his foot like a rock breaking the surface of a pond. Since Ban was already in motion, she chose to keep moving in the same direction. Her speed was able to outpace the Earthshaker. . She knew its range was only 10 meters, so she continued to move until she was just out of 10 meters- 90 degrees to Jigens left side- where the earth would stop moving. She never took her eyes off Jigen, knowing this jonin was capable of anything, during her dash.

During her movement, she still was able to perform hand signs for rupture. Ban would instead use Quickdraw to draw her blade, as she was moving and fired her Water Styled Rupture- She was 5 meters away from Jigen at the point of launch. None of her attacks required her to stop moving, so she never did.

Should Rupture hit, Jigen would be struck on his right leg's hamstring, right lower shoulder blade, and his neck -right where his ears were leveled-, the last slices would go above his head. The slices were angled as well to avoid Tsuna in its trajectory.

Ban was now along the tree line- where the trees met the open area. She was lucky that she didn't hit her head on one of the trees. There were a tree 2 meters on her left side, a tree on her right side 1 meter, and another tree behind her that was 3 meters away. Those were the only things near her in a 5-meter radius.

Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial - Page 2 Empty Re: Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial

Sat Apr 10, 2021 9:13 am
Eyes narrowed as the kunai traveled without the proper tethering as he had hoped. Perhaps he was so nervous that he allowed himself to stumble over his own action. But there was little time to address this, Tsunayoshi darts backwards as the behemoth raised his foot roughly two inches, noting swiftly the fearsome Ban moving to find distance only insist that he should do the same. Being 8 meters from the Jounin, only needed 3 more to find safety he would do just that, while being mindful of his travel - memorizing the path that he took to get there had not altered once. Abruptly the Jounin spat something in Tsuna’s direction, without a doubt this surprised him, enough to making his gasp, but as speed is relatively in this case he managed to pivot, side stepping to his left to avoids the swift incoming projectile. There was much power that it held, Tsuna could feel the force as it barely just missed him, but his eyes did not leave the jounin, not once in this motion.

As he was in the midst of his evading of the senbon, he reached into his weapon pouch to retrieve another ‘kunai’ - chakra infused - in which he would launch at the jounin roughly around the same time Ban unleashed her water style ruptured technique at a speed of 107. This particular ‘kunai’ was more than meet the eye, casted under the illusion of false surroundings with the sticky paper adhesive technique, Tsuna was able to use chakra infusion to bind the paper to the kunai tightly, while using the illusion to mask the paper into looking like additional wrapping around the projectile. That being done, once the kunai was within range, furthest being 5 meters, closest being 1 meter, but ideal being anywhere i between - including being dodged, blocked or any form of derailing of the projectile would - of Jigen it would set, purposefully aimed at his left knee cap, mostly to draw his line of sight. It would release an intense illumination that would cover 5 meters in every which way, causing a blindness to the Jounin, possibly even the other Genin at that, should she still be within range of the detonation.  Should the Jounin move to avoid then the other ideal set off for the tech would come into play revealing that the kunai was not just a kunai, but a ruse under a genjutsu.

Tsuna found little room to play around at this point, with the tree line at his back as well, he found if he was to move back any further he would be within the forest of trees. His right hand moved to his blades hilt as it tossed the ‘kunai’ to unsheathed his Sloth’s Bane. She sung no song as she was called forth. In that moment the boy’s demeanor altered, his eyes grew colder. With the blade in his right hand, he moved in to close the distance between himself and the Jounin. Placing the scabbard to his back as he did he used his left hand to weave single handed seals. A poof of smoke to his left formed with a crackling of electricity as another Tsuna rushed from it. The the clone moved forward towards the Jounin, pulling from its pouch a kunai of its own as it dart to leap to Jigen’s eye level to swipe at his neck from left to right just at the point where the bell hung. Should for some odd reason the timing of this clones arrival to the jounin be off and he is met with an attack as he approaches he would disperse with a jolt of lightning up to 5 meters, but only when within 3 to 2 meters of its target. Causing jutsu power in damage and a normally a paralysis, but the Jounin is too powerful to fall to.

Tsuna broke off to the left, trading routes with his clone at 8 meters of reaching the man. He would keep his eyes on him as he rushed to a 10 meter distance, while maintaining a clearing of any possible crashing. Putting the Jounin in his right.

Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial - Page 2 Empty Re: Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial

Mon Apr 12, 2021 5:40 am
Jigen was impressed with the amount of tactics the two of them possessed although, he had hoped they both would have worked together in order to deal with a 'much stronger' foe. As the two of the genin started to perform their evasive maneuvers near simultaneously, Jigen began to sink into the ground. He wasn't going to bother waiting to see what's in store as he needed to pick up the pace a bit and try to get one of them. As he sank into the ground beneath himself, Jigen placed both of his hands together and performed the hand signs of bird, monkey, ox and ram. Submerged underground, Jigen had let the two potential attacks that were unleashed fly harmlessly above his form. From there, he would ponder which one of them he would go after. He already thought to himself that he's wasted enough time playing around with the Hozuki so instead, he figured he would make his way towards the other participant and see what he was capable of. Besides, even if he had the chance to swing at the Hozuki again, she'd just turn herself into water or something, negating the attack anyway. It was a better choice to just go after the other genin.

Simulating swimming underneath inside of the earth, Jigen was three meters below the ground level itself and decided he'd 'swim' towards Tsunayoshi in an attempt to attack him next. Travelling towards the direction where the participant last was, Jigen had prepared himself to unleash his technique in order to restrain the boy long enough in order to make him submit, if possible. When Jigen could feel the form of the boy underneath him, Jigen would travel one meter further behind him, before re-emerging half way out of the ground. When his upper body emerged, Jigen fired two, two inch wide, chakra chains from the tenketsu in his back towards Tsunayoshi in hopes of restricting the boy's movement. For all intents and purposes, Jigen wondered what this one in particular in general was in response to his enemy being so close to him.

Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial - Page 2 Empty Re: Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial

Wed Apr 14, 2021 2:25 pm
As Ban's water rupture and Tsuna's flash explosive headed towards Jigen, he simply moved out of the trajectory by moving inside the earth. It was a techinque Ban knew about but had never seen. He was now out of sight for the Hozuki, who didn't have any sensory abilities that would help her detect his movements. But she knew this was a test of strength, so he wouldn't just escape. He'd probably use the opportunity to strike underneath them. The problem was, due to his earth-shaker, Ban and Tsuna were separated. They needed to be close for either one of them to get close to him. Tsuna had tactically moved into the forested area behind him, it would be perfect for the duo to get him.

After the Earthshaker, Ban would put her katana away and body flicker to the forested area by Tsuna's location. Her body blurred onto the trunk of a tree- 2 meters off the ground- hanging off the surface using surface walker techinque. The tree itself was 6 meters tall. She wanted to be off the ground, but close enough to be able to pounce on Jigen when he made his appearance. She was only a meter from Tsuna's left side. On Tsuna's right, there was another 6-meter tree about 2 meters away from him. Behind him, there was a smaller tree- only 4 meters tall and was 3 meters behind Tsuna.

After just a moment, Jigen appeared and launched strange chakra chains at Tsuna. It was a technique Ban had never seen before. But it was aimed at Tsuna, so Ban had a chance. Ban would take out two of her kunai and launched them at the ground less than a meter away from Jigen. She would be holding them in a strange manner than when thrown, they would bounce up off the ground and be angled right for Jigen's ears.

Should the Kunai hit their mark, both earings would be sliced off his ear and land on the ground next to him while the kunai would both strike the smaller tree two meters behind him.

Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial - Page 2 Empty Re: Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial

Thu Apr 15, 2021 4:31 pm
It would seem that nothing could reach the Uzumaki, as he slipped into the terrain out of harms way of both Tsuna and Ban’s combined assault. In progress, the boy was already in motion, as was forming the seals to summon his clone, but he held back on that offer as he did not see it as viable. He stopped as he was 8 meters from where Jigen once stood. Ban, apparently still standing where she was, for she did not perform any seals to body flicker over to Tsuna as she intended, thus she appeared to be still, perhaps in thought trying to figure out the route of Jigen’s reappearance.

Tsuna looked around, keeping his eyes peeled for any movement. Left, right, front and below...below? He could feel, no, he could sense the Uzumaki as he navigated through the ground. It was roughly 3 meters beneath him, when the proctor drawn near. Tsuna then carefully observed the flow of chakra as it made its way behind him. Casually ascending. From that moment he knew the proctor was going to aim a sneak attack, he played his cards to favor him, almost baiting as he played the fool continuing to look around himself. As the proctor emerged behind him as he intended it was simultaneous to Tsuna turn with honed eyes as he was aware of him the entire time. His blade in his hand was coated by a cyan chakra as he channeled it through increasing the sharpness and health of his blade by 20 making it 120 in total. Not only that giving it the properties to engage chakra sources itself. At this time Tsuna noticed the incoming chains of chakra he pressed forward one foot as he engaged he moved with such accuracy, not wasting a single step as he dodged and weaved through the two chains at a speed of 140 while keeping them at his right in the same motion he would swing his blade from left to right just under the chains as he lowered his center of gravity releasing a force of pressurized air from the tip of his sword starting from the swinging point at a speed of 85 and a power of 42 aimed at the chest of the Uzumaki. It carried a sharpness of 150 and an impact force of 93.

This wave carried no chakra, thus naked to the eyes and senses. All that it held was the crackling of a bark akin to a canine of some sort upon its releasing. The wave is a half a meter in both height and depth. It would travel a full 5 meters before dissipating should it not clash with the Uzumaki first, Tsuna slowed his pace to a speed of 75 as he launched the maneuver, finding it unflattering to run into his own move.

Should the wave hit this will give Tsuna more than enough time to capitalize as he closed the distance while being being mindful of his opponent’s arms and chains and body just in case he begins to sink or raise. At this point he would be moving at full speed as he used his left and hand to extend his four finger and focusing his chakra and strength at the point towards the throat of the proctor at a speed of 75 and a strength of 32, however this strength acts as sharpness. He would choose his course carefully as he would alter his striking course for the right ear entirely, show it land he would pierce the flesh of that ear and as he retracted his hand he would snatch the bell from that ear, while darting to the left 5 meters out of Jigen’s immediate range. He would hope that he managed to surprise his proctor, as well as his teammate by his performance should it all go as he expected.

Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial - Page 2 Empty Re: Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial

Fri Apr 16, 2021 11:50 pm
Thinking he would have the upper hand from attacking Tsuna from below, Jigen proceeded with his initial plans. Unfortunately for him, the Genin participant was aware of his location the entire time. He had lost his element of surprise as the genin had turned in response to him emerging from the ground. This surprised him a bit but he wasn't out of options yet. As the genin known as Tsunayoshi avoided the chains and attempted to step closer towards Jigen, Jigen began to brace himself for a counterattack, literally. Performing his next actions simultaneously, Jigen would continue to rise up from out of the ground instead of just half way like he initially intended too, as well as activate three techniques at the same time. Jigen would active the fuinjutsu seal he placed on himself at the beginning of the exam, harden his skin with a different coat of earth chakra in order to gain a kind of earthen armor, starting with his chest, bolstering his physical capabilities and lastly, without the use of weaving hand signs, spew a stream of water directly at the Tsunayoshi's torso. The water started as a small stream no bigger than one foot in diameter before expanding into a six meter in radius water vortex at the technique's speed.

Though the genin was clever, Jigen was still a few steps ahead in the matter as he also began to redirect his chain's trajectory, having them both part ways from each other before looping around on both Tsunayoshi's left and right side, at least seven meters apart in order to attempt to avoid being caught up and destroyed by his water vortex as well as attempt to restrict the area the young genin could move, should he somehow evade the attack. Using his chains to cover the left and right sides, he'd send them after Tsunayoshi the moment he attempted to evade the vortex. Jigen wasn't sure if the lad would come out unscathed but this was an exam after all in order to test the future generation of shinobi. If he couldn't survive this much, then he'd be better off using his jutsu capabilities on getting a regular job of some kind that might make better use of his capabilities. It turns out the other genin participant had attempted something but forgot to weave the hand signs necessary in doing so. So they just seemingly remained in their initial spot after earth shaker was successfully evaded.

Ban apparently was too cautious about Jigen's move into the ground that she remains in her position with her Katana still out and ready for a defense counter while waiting for Jigen to show his face. She was unaware of the battle going on mere 15 meters away between the Jonin and the genin.

Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial - Page 2 Empty Re: Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial

Sat Apr 17, 2021 10:28 pm
There was a miscalculation on Tsuna’s part, for a moment there he truly believed that he was able to catch the Jounin off guard. He could feel that he did, but the Uzumaki was swift in his thinking, clearly his years of experience were bleeding through - the gap between Tsunayoshi and Jigen was vast, this much was vivid. There was a surge coming from the man, Tsuna could feel it, it was daunting almost. As he continued to rise from the the ground at the speed he did, Tsuna’s attack had little to no effect on him. Widen eyes betrayed the cold eyes of the Hatake, danger was shrouding the immediate area, little room to misstep. From the moment the flesh of the Uzumaki turned a shade, Tsuna knew he had to shifted his plans. As the swing failed, he aborted, while forming seals with a single hand, his left hand. He could feel the chains of chakra shifting around his flanks, but he kept his eyes on the Uzumaki. As he pushed himself 5 meters back from the man he placed his left middle and index fingers to his forehead, water spew from the Uzumaki. From his core outward spacial chakra rushed at a speed  and power of 90 completely fading him from Jingen’s visual. This will remove him from the immediate are of the proctor’s line of attack.

Tsuna was teleported within a max range of 20 meters from where he stood. Luckily before before he completely vanished he glanced at one of the tree that were behind the Jounin, 15 meters to be exact. It stood at 4 meters tall and a single sturdy branch that extended from it. Tsuna manifested in a blink upon this branch, lowering himself into a crouching position as he maintained his balance, while observing his proctor from afar. The boy could feel his heart pounding as he was feeling a casting of a dreadful cloud overhead. He was close, so close... but now was not the time to dwell on things, he believed he still had time, time to catch the Jounin off guard. Left hand swiftly moved to the pouch on his back as he retrieved kunai attacked to a smoke bomb. Throwing it at a speed of 107 in the Uzumaki’s direction he would aim between the legs, directly under him, with nothing in his path of sight his aim would be true. Once the mark was made the bomb would detonate as a cloud of dense smoke would envelope the man at a speed of 55 and covering 10 meters of ground.

He formed another set of seals to launch another tech the moment he pinpoints Jigen’s location for a sudden attack.

Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial - Page 2 Empty Re: Chunnin Examination Part 2: Tsuna and Ban's Trial

Sat Apr 24, 2021 1:38 am
It seems Jigen had made the right call by activating so many defensive techniques and maneuvers at once in order to shield himself from the incoming blow he was about to receive. Unfortunately, the boy had continued his attack before deciding it was time to change his plans. In the midst of activating those defensive techniques, Jigen had also released the great water vortex that would happen to have collided with Tsunayoshi when his blade made a connection with the Jounin's hardened skin. The large and violent vortex would carry the genin away to the opposite side of the arena, causing him to collide into the wall of the indoor arena, dealing additional damage. With that, Jigen had found himself fully emerged from the ground, ending his "Hiding like a mole" technique. Afterwards, he folded his arms with a sneer forming across face before proclaiming loudly, "THE SECOND PART OF THIS EXAM IS NOW OVER!!! GET READY TO HEAR THE RESULTS OF YOUR EFFORTS!!!" Jigen then relaxed himself a bit, not deactivating the Earth Spear technique as it was the only thing that had remained intact after making contact with the genin's sword. With that, the examiner simply left the arena, regardless of who followed him or not.
