The display of power was more than enough to rattle the boy fully into silence, and the look that the girl gave him after was enough to make him wallow in it. He had dragged her into this. It was his fault. Kita's new liver ached and burned in his body, making him sick to the core. Or was it the guilt? Was it over what he had done? No, never. He hadn't done anything wrong. He did what any shinobi would do, SHOULD do, for the betterment of their village. If it was guilt, it was for implicating his "partner in crime."

Kita drudged along silently, waiting to see what this situation was to bring. Part off him wanted to mention the pain that he felt inside his body, but somehow he knew that would only make the situation worse. Better to wait and hope it isn't an infection, at least for now...
