Kato was drawn out of his thoughts by Murata's movement and speech, his contemplative thoughts of living a separate life raised as a Hoshikagi escaping into the warm night air. He blinked his eyes a few times and looked around, it was later than he thought it was. He had become too distracted by his sparring match and had not realised how much time had passed, the sake was probably also to blame. Kato stretched and let out a yawn, the sake bottle in his hand felt light, nearly empty. He felt a wave of tiredness come over him, the adrenaline of the sparring match must of been fading. As he brought the sake bottle up to his lips to finish off the last couple of drops he felt a dull ache in his arm. His sparring match with Murata had been a good work out but he knew that he was going to wake up tomorrow with a couple new aches because of it. He rotated his stiffening shoulder as he reflected on the match thinking to himself "Murata seems to be quite the fighter and that unique skill, its one I've never seen before. I wonder if she is able to use that technique to fully disorient someone, it would be rather formidable in that case."

"See you around Murata, and thanks for the workout!" Kato called out to the Mist kunoichi as she walked away from the beach. He then turned to the younger shinobi who had been the surprise audience to Kato & Murata's little rumble with a smile on his face. As Kato spoke you could notice the effects of the sake in his slightly reddening cheeks "I'm afraid I'm also gonna have to head off. With all the excitement of the night I've let time slip away from me. I hope to see you around Gonk, and who knows, it might be us who will be sparring next time" Kato then turned to leave the beach winking at Gonk in the process, as he made his way towards his apartment he walked with his hand held high as a silent farewell gesture.

As Kato made his way down the Kirigakure streets, his steps somewhat clumsy as he is warm with sake he drifts off into his thoughts, allowing his feet to guide him home. "What an interesting thing chance is, I never expected to make two new connections tonight." His thoughts stayed on the shinobi he had met on the beach but he could not help but wonder about Murata. He could still feel the memories that were forced into his mind, they were faint, like the footprint of a small creature like a squirrel. He pondered the memories, wondering what information they gleamed about his new kunoichi connection but came to no intelligible conclusion, the sake dragging him into the land of slumber before he could.

Gonk can see the Hyuuga immediately lose his suspicion upon hearing who Gonk is. He apologizes and introduces himself as Kato. Gonk can see that he is a pretty easy going guy, but he wouldn’t want him as an enemy, that's for sure. The female ninja states she was here to meet somebody but doesn’t say who. She then says her goodbyes and leaves. Gonk waves goodbye to the stranger as she walks away. Kato said goodbye to the woman as she left. Gonk notices he calls her Murata.
“So that’s her name,” Gonk realized as she walked away. As soon as Murata left, Kato stood up as well. He says he has to go but he hopes they will meet again.
“I’ll look forward to working with you,” Gonk said smiling. Kato raised his hand in farewell as he walked away. Gonk sat in the cave alone for a little bit longer, staring at the waves. He finally got up and walked down the beach and back towards his home. As he was walking Gonk thought about what had happened.
“I never got to see the power of the Byakugan,” Gonk thought as he walked. “That would have been cool to see. I wonder who Murata was waiting for? It wasn’t Kato because she said they met by chance.” He walked up the stairs to his apartment and opened the door. He looked at his empty apartment and wished that his parents were still alive. He walked into his shower and turned on the water, which mixed with his tears. He dried off, but the tears continued to pour. He climbed into his bed and cried himself to sleep, because today, he was reminded of what having parents was like.
