Yosei Hisori's Bank Account

Yosei was sat at his vanity, applying his face for the day. As he lightly rouged his cheeks, he felt one hand tremble. Over-applying was a potentially catastrophic mistake, so he grabbed his wrist with his free hand, forcing it still. In his time as a ninja so far, he had faced down thieves, poachers, gang members, illicit traffickers and on one particular occasion, a wendigo. While he hadn't been nervous before any of those missions, what was required of him today had him thrown.
He reached under his bed for the lockbox of Ryo he kept safe there. Then he lifted up the vanity mirror and pulled out a panel in the wall, revealing a hidden compartment. Finally, he opened a small chest he kept his clothes in, unlocked the hidden false bottom and removed the little stack of currency hidden there. This was all the Ryo he had saved up from his missions so far - Well, almost.
On his way to the bank, he had to stop off at his family's theatre. The diminutive building was looking more ramshackle than ever. He noticed the roof tiles were lose and the lights by the door weren't working. Walking around to the side, he knocked on the office door. His Uncle, a portly man wearing half-moon spectacles opened.
"Well well, if it isn't the proud son of the Hisori. How goes the Shinobi Trade?"
Yosei smiled politely. "It's fine. I'm actually here about some money, Uncle..."
"Oh!" He said, lighting up. "Is it that time of the month? We could really use it right now."
"Actually," Yosei began, shifting uncomfortably. "It's a withdrawal today, not a deposit. I need all the cash I've been keeping here."
His uncle adjusted his glasses.
"I see. Taking the bread out of our mouths hm? Need a bigger apartment do you?"
"No, sir." Yosei said, looking at his feet. "I'm opening a bank account today. With the interest there, we'll earn a lot more over time and-"
The older man snorted in a big jolly laugh. "I'm only teasing, kid. It's your money. Your parents would hate to think that you work so hard just to lose everything to this old money pit. Take it."
Yosei breathed a sigh of relief. "More will come back, I promise."
"Investing, eh? Smart. Small piece of advice; find somewhere better to put your money than theatre. This is no kind of business for the young."
Yosei hugged his uncle and after some catching up, he left with the full amount of money he'd been saving. As his uncle closed the door, one of the roof tiles slid to the ground, shattering.

At the bank, Yosei couldn't stop his leg from shaking as he filled out forms. Money made him feel powerless. Taxes, bills, paperwork, clerks behind glass staring right through you, pens on chains. It all made him feel so useless and out of place, a stranger in a world that he didn't understand and vice versa. He made his way over with all the money he had in various containers, dirty coins and crumpled bills. One day, he would make it so that neither he nor his family ever had to worry about this again.
