Mission Possible (Seiichi/Eliwood/Maku)

As the lads expressed what’s they’d found in the way of cutlery and explosives, Maku would let out a laugh of delight. He’d been tipped off about the odd assortment of contraband his old acquaintance was carrying. First rule in drugs and corporate sabotage......never use your own supply. “Beautiful boys, just beautiful.” He’d say as the caravan would creep along at a decreased pace with the additional weight.

“Now, the fun really begins. This first part was a taste, but the next will be the entree.” He’d say cryptically before going into the remainder of the mission. He’d explain that their mission was to stay as sneaky as they could hence stealing stolen goods, so as not to be found out. They’d use the supplies to sneak into a banquet that was being put on by a prominent mob type boss from the black market. The cutlery and other supplies would get them in, passing for servers and plain hired help, while the dynamite would secure an escape and distraction.

The boss was well known for buying and selling contraband, redistributing it from village to village and making a profit. In truth, it would be difficult to find any redeeming quality in the man that Maku presented, and perhaps it was mostly the truth, and perhaps from his own perspective it was totally the truth, plus he was causing a recession via the hiked up prices in the smaller villages which meant people where less likely to venture into Maku’s own establishments........besides eliminating some competition never hurt neither.

The banquet was set to take place in his very own home. The boys had the job of finding where he kept his ryo, and to smuggle it out without being caught, while Maku made sure they were left well alone as much as possible. A simple heist one might say, that only had a minor possibility to go boom.

“We should get there around evening tomorrow I’d guess.” Maku would say leaning back in the seat, letting the horses do the hard part of the drive. “No more inns this time, we will rough it, and then rough them.”

Seiichi smiled as they kept on the road. He was finally going to get his hands dirty, so he thought. "Get out of there without getting noticed..." He said as he leaned back against the crates. "Sounds boring." He said as he looked to his left. Sitting on the right side of the cart he was looking at the back, watching the road pass by, the bears were huddled in the bottom just laying there. "Why don't you guys go and find us some chow for later. We'll meet back up with you down the road tonight." He told them. His frustration was starting to get to him, bossing them around was a plus.

Laying his head back and closing his eyes. "Boss... Can't we just blow the place up. Kill them, take their money, and end the competition instead?... It would beee fuun." He pushed the words out of his mouth trying to persuade them in a flamboyant way, they liked that kind of stuff didn't they? He smiled.

The bears got up with a creak of the wagon, grunted and left the cart with a jolting jump. They were upset, but he knew they wouldn't say much, after all he was telling them to go off and kill an animal. There wasn't much else on their list that was higher than that. They loved to kill things, hunt, and eat. What he did might have seemed like a really bossy thing, but he knew what he was doing.

They sat there and watched the road move past. The sky move around them. It wasn't long till the sun was about to set. He half wondered if Maku was going to push the horses through the night or if they would stop on the side of the road for more dangerous training. If they weren't about to lose a limb it might not extreme enough for Maku. He could use the peace of mind, "There might be a cave around, could try for bat chasing" He said with a smile, half kidding.

Maku said that they would push through the night without stopping so Eliwood decided to kick back and rest his head against the side of one of Seiichi's bears. The creature didn't seem to mind and so the monk quickly fell asleep. At least until Seiichi ordered the bears to go catch some food. When the bear he was using as a pillow shifted, he jolted awake. "Huh..are we there?" He rubbed his eyes and realized he must have only been asleep for an hour.

Seiichi suggested going in loud and fast to get the job done quicker, but Eliwood was more suited toward stealth than combat. He could handle himself well enough, but he would prefer not to have to kill a bunch of guards.

"How about you can do all the killing if necessary when we're in there?" Eliwood would counter suggest. "I don't know about you but I'm pretty good at sneaking around unseen."

The bumping and jostling of the cart prevented Eliwood from falling back asleep so he decided to play a tune with his guitar. He tapped his feet against the boards of the carriage and sang as well. It was an old tavern song about a warrior who's pride was eventually his undoing. He had heard it not long ago in a bar and it recieved a pretty good reaction from the patrons so he decided to add it to his repertoire.
