Striding towards the Village, a backpack he'd bought on the boat along with some scrolls inside it in tow, Kenji would assuming no one stopped him enter the village along with the other traders that were there and head into the city to see if there were any good deals to be made.

How to make an entrance 101 Empty Re: How to make an entrance 101

Wed Apr 19, 2017 11:44 pm
Well Kenji was wrong. He wouldn't be able to enter the village gates at all, though to be fair he'd get close. The war footing that Kumogakure was on prevented anyone from entering the gates without first going through the check point, fifty meters away from the main gates. Well within the Rot Forest, the lovely denizens of the forest releasing their flatulence regulary to produce a... delightful smell upon Kumogakure's guests. Anyone found to have either no chakra signature reading or a chakra signature higher than twenty five was immediately directed to a side check point. Kenji would be greeted first with the check point, a table underneath a simple pop up tent with two Chuunin level Shinobi standing on either side of the tent and six Genin at the table processing the paper work.

To his left fifteen meters from the tent was the special area for those who exhibited no chakra or a chakra above twenty five. This tent consisted of a single Jounin and three Chuunin. Each person here would be further checked. Kenji, with his exceptionally high chakra reserves had unknowingly caused mass panic with the shinobi. A single Genin was detached from the table running towards the village as fast as he could. His shunshin was good enough to accelerate him to a speed of 135, what he would need to clear the distance to the gates of Kumo before that terrifyingly high chakra signature could hopefully do too much damage. He would immediately pass the word to the guards at the gate, two Jounin, six chuunin, and twelve Genin.

A small flare would be sent up into the sky, clearly visable to anyone and every one, seeing as how it was a clear cloudless day, the temperature sitting at a comfortable seventy five degree Fahrenheit. All this left Kenji plenty of time to react in however he should choose seeing as the Genin had been dispatched when he was seventy five meters from the check in station that was fifty meters from the gate. The line to the check in station wasn't that long and Kenji would no doubt be incredibly close to the team of shinobi there.

----meanwhile----

Senshi was standing in the main hall of the mission office decked in his usual attire, with all weapons and associated scrolls on him as he reviewed some of the local reports that were coming in, when lets call it mass panic ensued. Several shinobi stepped into the room, the first one speaking how an emergency flare had been released into the air at the main Gate. Senshi looked up a surprised glare entering his features as he immediately took charge. Turning to the nearest Chuunin he reached out snatching the young kid up and lifting him off his feet. "Get the first two quick reaction squads alerted. I want one surrounding the Raikage's tower. The other will begin and immediate evacuation of sectors seven through ten. Put Sectors Four through six on imminent relocation status and sound the alarms of a warning drill in the remaining Sectors. Send a Genin to the Raikage's office to alert him we have an impending emergency and that I will be headed to the gates."

Senshi dropped the boy not waiting for a response as he dashed out of the main missions office. Seeing as how each sector of the village was five hundred meters in width he wouldn't be at the main gate for some time, the mission office being located in sector three after all. Still, he trusted in the shinobi he had assigned to these shifts to handle themselves well until he could get there and take command. Hopefully all of this was for nothing and whatever it was, was just a false alarm set off by some trader with a high chakra signature. The red flare used to sound the emergency was only to be used when an unknown chakra signature greater than seventy was approaching the village. If the chakra signature had been hostile and causing havoc a purple flare would have been sent up. As Senshi ran at a speed of sixty towards the gate he kept a wary eye on the sky hoping that the purple flare wouldn't suddenly appear.

He was still several thousand meters away from even approaching the gate as it was.

How to make an entrance 101 Empty Re: How to make an entrance 101

Kenji strode through the forest, coughing and pulling out a handkerchief to mask the horrible scent, ugh this was already putting a downer on his mood, however despite this Kenji didn't turn back, after all even if the place smelled of Rot that didn't mean that there wouldn't be good money to be made here, and who knows maybe he'd even find some useful knowledge in this country. Glancing up, Ren's eyes were drawn to a brilliant flare shooting up into the sky. 'Hmm kids having a little fun with military supplies?' Ren thought questioningly as he continued on his way, reaching a military checkpoint with a few traders and other people waiting in line to be processed. If Kenji had known the flare was because of him, then perhaps he would have done something to put the guards at ease, yet since he didn't have any idea that was the case he simply stepped into line and waited his turn to be processed, striking up a conversation with the person next in line as he waited his turn. "So, what do you do for a living, perhaps I have something that could assist you... for a price" he asked with a smile, attempting to make some money from the time he was spending here.

How to make an entrance 101 Empty Re: How to make an entrance 101

Thu Apr 20, 2017 12:16 am
"Quiet. You can hawk your wares once you're inside of the village."

The harsh order was barked by one of the chuunin's as he noticed a white haired female attempting to speak to those around her. With the atmosphere as tense as it was he was not in the mood to allow anyone to speak. His full attention needed to be focuses on everything going on around them so they could find that oppressively high chakra force that was surrounding them. He felt the sweat beginning to roll down the side of his face and it was already starting to soak heavily into the back of his shirt. The line moved quickly as the people of Kumo had already begun to adapt to the security checkpoints the Garrison commander had initiated since the war had begun. Deciding to take at least a little bit of pity on the people before him the Chuunin spoke up again.

"A state of emergency has been declared. Each of you will be escorted tot he village the moment the situation is resolved. Follow all instructions given to you, and your safety will be ensured."

He motioned for the Genin to continue checking the registrations and such as everyone came forwards, the line moving forwards. If Kenji chose to continue in the line he would soon be level with the Chuunin and a wide sudden stare would be directed his way. Something the newly promoted man couldn't help before he looked away the amount of sweat dripping off his face giving away his nervousness at being so near such a high powered signature. "What's a pretty woman like that doing with such a high level of chakra?" turning he motioned to one of the Genin who immediately stood up moving over and approaching Kenji. A look of fear crossed the little girls face as she approached, she was small, maybe four foot two at the most. Barely fifty pounds when all was said and done. She had a brown, yet purplish hair color, with wide slightly watery purple eyes.

She looked to be no more than ten years old. "Genin, Escort this young lady to the side tent." Focusing on the white haired woman he took a step forwards, drawing forth all the courage he possessed as he spoke. "Ma'am, if you would please follow this Genin over to that tent, you will be inprocessed." The Chuunin gestured towards the tent fifteen meters away with the two Jounin standing guard over it. He would wait politely for Kenji to say anything and answer before nodding to the Genin, who would take a shy hesistant step forwards looking fearfully at the woman before her. "Pl....Plea....Please follow me." She would turn and begin walking towards the tent should all have gone well between the Chuunin and Kenji. She was fearful because she knew she was being offered as a sacrifical lamb should this woman choose to be dangerous.

-----Meanwhile-----

Senshi had managed to speed up to his full speed of a 125, as he rushed through the districts. He had managed to clear through two more districts and was making his way through the third now. Still no sign of any hostile activity on the border which was nice to note. He really didn't want to have to deal with an invasion while General Slaanesh was gone, and Lord Akuoy was acting as the deputy Raikage. An aggrieved sigh was issued as he continued to run, deciding agaisnt activating the shunshin for a temporary boost in speed. He was sure that he might need to save his chakra in the event of a fight. He had managed to lower the distance to 1500 meters from the main gate, 1550 from Kenji himself.

How to make an entrance 101 Empty Re: How to make an entrance 101

Thu Apr 20, 2017 12:41 am
Kenji glanced at the man who'd told him to wait until he reached the village to sell his wares; for a moment he considered toying with the man a little, but then it wouldn't be pertinent to put the guards hear on edge when they all represented a potential customer, instead he simply smiled, stepping forward as the line mover he'd look the man in the eye  "As you wish, I'll wait until I reach the village, although..." Kenji paused taking a small non-threatening step towards the man and looking him up and down. "I'm sure I'd have something to help you out as well, come see me when you get off your break" he said with a wink and a smile before stepping back into the line and waiting his turn to be attended to.

After a short wait one of the young children, 'Genin no doubt' Kenji thought with a sniff, walked up to them and Kenji was told to follow her. Had the Chunin chosen any words other than those he would have no doubt stayed in Kenji's good graces, however unfortunately for him despite the changes in his memory Kenji was still the same person at heart. His chakra flared up and his voice went cold 'On second thought don't drop by, and call me mam' again and we'll have a problem." Kenji said with no effort to mask the hostility before turning back to the girl, the hostile aura dissipating; and following her as instructed, though the girl looked terrified. "You okay sweetie, you look tired?" He said, kneeling down to the girl's height, I can make my own way if you need a break" Kenji smiled at the girl, his aura forming a brilliant white nine tailed fox for a second in the girl's eyes. One of the creatures tails ruffling the girls hair in a calming motion before it faded again, Kenji standing up again and waiting to see if the girl would continue to take him or indicate for him to continue on his own. Either way Kenji would enter the tent and, assuming there were seats there, take a seat and put his legs up, relaxed and waiting to have his entrance authorised; after all he had nothing to hide.

How to make an entrance 101 Empty Re: How to make an entrance 101

Thu Apr 20, 2017 1:07 am
The Chuunin blushed faintly but his fear of the Garrison commander forced him to merely shake his head at the womans (Kenji's) words, simply indicating for her to continue in place. When he had addressed her and called her ma'am the defiantly deadly tone that he took her words in forced him to blanch white in fear. What had been so wrong about his mode of address, he had been respectful just as the Garrison commander constantly told them to do so. Once the Genin, began leading her offer the Chuunin merely counted himself lucky to not be dead and sent a short sign to the Jounin guards to warn them off calling the woman ma'am. They could figure out how to deal with it.

As the woman followed the little Genin, offering to see herself, the little girl's obvious fear intensified at the thought of disobeying an order, her already slightly pallid skin taking on an obvious clammy look as she quickly shook her. "I'm sorry I can't disobey an order. Chuunin Izawa would be angry and the Commander has stressed complete importance on following orders." Her tone was hesitant and tentative, several words stuttered out as she spoke. When the odd chakra manifestation of a nine tailed fox appeared she offered a light giggle relaxing slightly before a deep voice cleared her throat.

Blushing slightly the little girl focused on the dark red and green haired Jounin who had stepped forwards, her Jounin vest on prominent display. She saluted quickly her right arm making a fist and resting on her left collar bone. "Jounin Midori, a new person to inprocess." The Jounin nodded before waving the little Genin off to go back to her post before turning to the white haired woman who had already taken one of the unoccupied chairs throwing her feet up on one of her Chuunin's tables. The manners. She just knew the commander wasn't going to like this one. Giving a nod to the Chuunin to start the paper work, the teenaged looking young man focused his eyes on the, what he believed to be a beautiful woman before him.

Blushing lightly, he shuffled his papers into order picking up a pen. If they could just stall long enough, maybe everything would be all right. "Uhm... Welcome to Kumogakure no Sato. Please state your name and the reason for your visit." The man looked at Kenji, emerald green eyes sticking out in his darkly tanned face, and bright blonde hair tied into a short pony tail. Once Kenji had finished speaking, if he had not recieved the answers he sought in through enough detail he would ask further questions such as what she was planning to sale. Once that was completed he would move onto the next line of questioning. "What land do you come from, are you affiliated to a shinobi village, if so which one? What rank have you attained be it as a nukenin or a village shinobi?"

------meanwhile-----

Senshi growled, eh really, really, really needed to get an office closer to the gate. This was ridiculous, all this running it was like he was out here for a work out, but finally, freaking finally the gate was within view. By the time Kenji had finished answering the line of questions the shinobi had recieved Senshi would have arrived at the gate. He didn't even need to stop as one of the Jounin's pointed towards the side tent for suspicious chakra signatures. While the Chuunin had been questioning Kenji, the remaining three merchants in the tent had been moved out so Kenji was the only one remaining. At the main check point all of the merchants were just being finished. As Senshi continued running forwards at his max speed, he activated display of power, stopping himself from naturally suppressing his chakra. Suddenly an aura of, god forbid his stupid summoning contact, a dark gray and white flaimingo would have started to form around him as he approached.  There was absolutely nothing subtle at the fast approaching, six foot seven with an over seven foot sword approaching the tent.

The two Jounin's moved so that they would be standing behind where Kenji was, and the three Chuunin all stood up as one, ending any conversation that would be occuring. With one last push off his main foot Senshi, should Kenji not attack him would enter the tent from the same side Kenji himself had ignoring the salutes of the shinobi around him to focus in on the.... the... what in the fuck? The emergency was some white haired, blue eyed woman who looked like a stiff breeze would blow her all the way from Kumo to Suna in one gust. He blinked his dark brown almost black looking hair and beard moving with the light breeze that gusted through the tent. Well now he felt awkward, he knew women were as much a threat on the battlefield as men, but other than her oppressively high chakra signature he was mildly confused.

With a light tilt of his head his mixture of brown and green eyes narrowed on the woman as he spoke, the deep voice of the twenty three year old body he inhabited echoing through the tent. "Report." Should Kenji have not chosen to say anything yet, the Chuunin who had taken at least part of the supposed females information would immediately relay it aloud verbaly to his Commander. Should Kenji be observing him she would note the red wrappings over his entire body, two tantos on his hips attached to a belt that had several scrolls attached to it. A weapons pouch on the side of each thigh, the huge sword that was Gureto on his back. If she was particularly observant she would notice the ninjato across his lower back, the end of the hilt and sheath sticking out on the sides of his body. His dark brown pants and the weird shirt thing (see avatar) on as well. She would easily notice that the entire left side of his face was a burn scar, part of it hidden by his beard and that it wrapped down his heck dissapearing behind the heavy red bandages that covered his body. A scar also running diagonally from his right cheek across his nose to his left eyebrow. Short cut black hair was slightly messy with the Kumo headband tied tightly side ways across his head. His Jounin vest on underneath his brown shirt thing and over the red wraps, a small insignia denoting his rank as the commander.

Senshi would finally turn his piercing gaze onto Kenji assessing her for a moment again.

How to make an entrance 101 Empty Re: How to make an entrance 101

Thu Apr 20, 2017 1:46 am
Kenji would sit there and answer the boy's questions, after all thats all he really was a boy. "Kenji Kotimin, I'm a scholar and a trader" Kenji answered, taking his feet off the table and leaning forward as soon as the boy started paying attention to him. Assuming the boy inquired further to what exactly what it was he sold, Kenji would answer him "Well, I sell knowledge... in a manner of speaking." He would say, holding his hand up and letting one of his fingers glow blue for a moment in a show of demonstration. "I was a ninja like you once, but my village was destroyed early on in my career; so I became a merchant and a scholar, applying my knowledge to help people, although I admit I charge for my services, I have to eat after all." He would say, assuming the boy pried further into his history Kenji would nod at him, "Well I grew up in Tengakure" he would say, pulling out his identification papers, signed by the kage of the village at the time along with all he needed to prove that he had once been a Genin of the village. "I was away on a mission when the village was destroyed, but thats a part of my history I don't particularly like thinking about" Kenji would say, passing the papers to the boy; his voice with a tinge of sadness for a moment before it picked up to its normal melodious tone again.

If the boy continued to stall with pointless questions Kenji would entertain him for a while but just as he was starting to be fed up with the waiting and say something Kenji would feel a chakra moving towards them, flared up in a display of power. Activating his minds eye he'd continue answering the boy's questions, although noting the chakra fluctuations of those around them and the chakra signature that was heading towards them. 'Ah I see, guess they were waiting on another person to deal with me?' Kenji thought wondering about his presence here, 'that or their under attack, but since none of these Chunin are mobailizing I'd say thats not the case.' he thought, remaining calm as the chakra signature entered the tent behind him. If the signature had displayed any intention to attack him, Kenji might have made an effort to defend himself, but all he sensed from the man was confusion as to what exactly was going on. Stifling a snicker at the brilliant flamingo aura that the man created for a moment as he entered the tent, Kenji spoke up without turning to face him. "I guess I'm special, I take it you don't treat all your traders like this after all?" He would say pleasantly looking to his side at the man out of the corner of his eye Kenji would speak again, "If this is going to take much longer how about you have someone bring us some tea" he would say before turning back to his seat at the table. After the Chunin had given his report assuming the man didn't say anything for a solid minute or more Kenji would stand with a sigh and dust himself off, before turning to the man and offering him his hand. "Kenji Kotomine" He'd say simply, waiting for a response.

How to make an entrance 101 Empty Re: How to make an entrance 101

Thu Apr 20, 2017 2:06 am
Senshi gave a stiff nod at the report, eyes remaining on the stranger before him, a scholar, former Genin of Tengakure with a chakra like that, suspect indeed for the naturally suspicious mind and untrusting soul that Senshi possesed. He frown in slight disbelief, but he did believe his Chuunin had collected and vetted all the information he had been given. At the rather sarcastic sounding words of the young woman, Senshi would force himself not to sigh. Really was it that hard for people to just be decently polite to those they met. It was something he was pounding into the forces he controlled and all of his shinobi knew that if he found out they were acting with less than an iota of perfect politeness the Flamingo General would take them down a serious notch. As the young woman stood up offering her hand and saying her name, Senshi suppressed the twitch of surprise keeping his aura going for several more seconds.

Finally he canceled fully suppressing his chakra so as to become a silent black hole in the void of vibrant signatures around them again. Much like he preferred to be. With his normal impassive and emotionless face, Senshi reached out taking the hand of the wo... person in front of him. Kenji was a male name rarely given to females and Senshi's eyes were now looking for the signs that this was a feminly built male instead of a female. What he wouldn't do for an enhanced sense of smell like a dog to know if she? he? put off female or male hormones. Not that it really mattered in the end, but he was only human and naturally curious. Senshi would give a single firm grip and shake, moderating his strength to that of a twenty, if she? he? had been a Genin then he didn't wish to cause unnecessary harm. Before he let go, should Keiji allow him to he would speak. "Kobayashi Senshi, Jounin, Commander of Kumogakure's defence force."

Senshi's arm would rest back at his side and his eyes would switch to one of the Chuunin. "Relocate. Send a Genin for a pot of tea and snacks. Re-continue inprocessing." Senshi's eyes turned back to Keiji, "What kind of tea would you prefer and do you have anything you would like to eat?" His tone was respectful if gruff, it was clear he was not an overly social being. Once Keiji had answered Senshi would nod to the Chuunin watching as they took all but two chairs, the table, and Kenji's paperwork from the tent and vacated the area. Gesturing to the seat Kenji had previously occupied he spoke again, "If you wish we can continue this discussion seated." Should Kenji sit, Senshi would stand politely, just in case she was actually a woman before taking his own seat on the other side of the table. Looking at the paper work briefly he spoke.

"I apologize for the reaction, we are currently at war and you're incredibly developed chakra signature sent off alarms. I apologize if this seems forward but would you mind explaining how a scholar and former Genin is so advanced in the spiritual arts. Also, how would you preferred to be addressed? It is customary for our forces to be respectful and use words such as sir or ma'am however I have a note in your paperwork mentioning a severe dislike for the term ma'am." Senshi's green and brown eyes returned to looking at the Shim in front of him, really wishing someone would figure out what this person's gender was so he wasn't so confused. While his right hand rested on the table holding the papers up slightly, his left hand resting on the hilt of one of his tantos prepared to draw it in a moments notice.

"Max, prepare a team for interception and prisoner guarding should it be needed. Komon, Reizo; be warned their is a stranger with incredibly high chakra at the gates of Kumo. Should the need arise I will recall you. Komori; when you have a chance pass the message to General Slaanesh, I will update as needed." Senshi finished channeling chakra through the telepathy seal behind his left ear, his chakra having spiked from its use before suddenly returning to his silent black hole.

How to make an entrance 101 Empty Re: How to make an entrance 101

Thu Apr 20, 2017 8:41 am
"Well then its a pleasure to meet you commander" Kenji said, smiling as he shook the man's hand before slipping his hands back into his coat pocket as he waited for the man to give his orders. Smiling at Senshi's request for tea, and pleasantly surprised to be asked what sort of tea he wanted. "if you have some, Sencha is my favorite" Kenji would say, unfazed by the man's gruff tone, "shall we take a seat while we wait" Kenji said, mirroring the thoughts of the man. Assuming he got an affirmative Kenji would turn and take his seat again, waiting for the man to do the same; once the two of them were both seated and Senshi had given his apology Kenji would smile. "Just Kenji is fine, I don't really put much stock in such titles myself, as for my chakra network I suppose I can see how that might have caused some trouble if your all currently at war, my apologies" he would say with a slight bow of his head to indicate his sincerity, "as for how I came to possess such chakra, the fall of my village was many years ago, and rather ironically I must admit I have that to thank for my vast chakra." Kenji would say, leaning back in his chair before continuing "You see my field of study is in the arts of fuinjutsu, but unlike ninja who focus on training their bodies for combat, my own chakra network has simply grown as my own research demands. In truth I must regretfully admit that most of my discoveries aren't applicable to most chakra users simply because anyone else who tries to implement them will die from the amount of chakra required to use them."

When the man began channeling chakra to his telepathy seal Kenji would of course notice, and considering how the man had suppressed his chakra up until this point it wasn't hard to deduce that the man was either communicating with another person or trying to read his chakra to tell if he was lying. It wouldn't be a bad trick, after all Kenji had been doing it to the man during the entire interview so far. Once Senshi's chakra signature dropped back to what it was before Kenji would speak again "So are we expecting company for tea?" casually enough that Senshi would know what he was talking about but that he would have plausible deniability if it irked the man.

How to make an entrance 101 Empty Re: How to make an entrance 101

Fri Apr 21, 2017 1:04 pm
Senshi. Linked, once and very slowly at Kenji's explanation. While he probably was not lying t still sounded... fishy. It was rare for even a village shinobi to develop a chakra network as powerful as what Kenji was giving off, yet somehow Senshi was supposed to believe that a Genin from Tengakure had luckily managed to avoid its destruction, continue his studies in the sealing arts, and developed all this chakra ability on his own? Fishy to say the least, and yet he had no other choice but to take the young... thing at its word. Didn't mean he wasn't still suspicious though. Senshi lifted up the hand that Kenji had shook quietly inspecting it for any seal that may have been placed upon it. He had once used the same method to mark a shinobi that had come to Kumogakure. Should he see any seal on his skin, the entirety of the rest of this post will not happen as it is about to. Should he see nothing then everything else is valid.

As Senshi sent out his brief report he rose a single eyebrow at what Kenji had said. Before he had the chance to respond however he felt the incoming chakra signature of one of his Genin. An annoyed sigh escaped his lips and one of his eyebrows twitched slightly. Kenji would undoubtedly be able to see the approaching Genin, the same one that had escorted him to this tent. Pushing himself up from his seated position just as the girl entered the tent, Senshi turned slightly taking the tea pot and cups from her and setting them on the table before Kenji. The female Genin quickly set out a small container of cream and sugar as well before standing back and bracing to attention. "Anything else, Sir?" Senshi looked at Kenji warily for a moment before speaking, "I apologize, but if you'll excuse me for a moment?"

Senshi would wait for Kenji's response, regardless if it was positive or negative he would still do what he wanted. With a slight flick of his eyes the Genin followed him to the edge of the tent. Kenji would still be able to hear what they were saying, rather easily in fact. The facade of privacy was meant more for the Genin after all. Offering his hand towards the young Genin she took it and Senshi lifted her setting her on his shoulder. He spoke, his tone a whisper as he did so. "You are not supposed to be on duty right now." He hadn't turned his head from its position so he could still easily see Kenji out of the corner of his eyes. The little Genin hunched her body slightly raising her hand to cover her lips as she whispered loudly in his ear. "I know but, Senshi-Jii-San I had to because of the uhhh..." her eyes cut to Kenji quickly before she hung her head slightly.

With another half sigh Senshi reached into one of his weapon pouches, slowly so as not to alarm Kenji, and pulled forth a note pad with a pen. Flipping it open he quickly scrawled a few words before ripping the paper out of the pad and handing it to the girl. "Go. You're off duty as of right now." She gave a little squeak before taking the paper and pushing off his head and shoulders she landed in a light crouch jogging back towards the gate. Another half sigh and Senshi turned back to Kenji reclaiming his seat. Should Kenji not have already poured himself some tea, Senshi would do so now. Pouring first his own cup and then, Kenji's immediately afterwards. He did not like cream or sugar with his tea and as such did not bother touching either of the two containers. He would instead push them around so that's kenji had better access to them should he want them.

Sitting back in his chair, Senshi lifted the tea to his lips taking an obvious drink as he assessed the man before him. Finally, he turned his head to the right showing his left ear and lifted his hand pulling the top of his ear down and exposing six small black marks behind his ear. All telepathy seals. "You're very observant. No one will be joining us, and I hope to keep it that way. However, I still need to verify your story." Senshi picked up one of the papers in front of him and immediately began scrawling across it. "I have some minor experience with fuuinjutsu as well." He explained as his hands worked quickly across the paper. Finally, he slid it across the table to Kenji. A simple C rank locking fuuinjutsu was scrawled across the paper. Without uttering a word Senshi would wait to see what Kenji chose to do with it.
