Friends meet again! (salzem)

Suprise was written on kouse's face as salzem hugged him.
Was salzem really hugging him?,was this really the same person?.
His confusion and surprise left when salzem told him about him also losing his father.
Kouse returned the hug.. Someone who knew how it felt to lose a parent. 
Kouse felt a tingling in his eyes but shut his eyes shut, he didn't feel the need to do that now. 
'It's okay to cry, Kouse'.. On hearing that, kouse could no longer hold it in.. Tears began flowing from his eyes.
He stopped it quickly though, he just knew that would happen, anytime he talked about his father since he died two weeks ago this had happened. 
Kouse smiled.. "I appreciate your concern salzem.. And thanks" kouse said.

Salzem smiled back at Kouse, though his smile was fleeting. It was a miserable thing to lose one's family, especially a parent. Kouse had finally shed his tears, letting himself heal a little bit.

"Kouse, it is a terrible thing to lose a member of your family. I'm sorry you had to go through that." He placed a hand on Kouse's shoulder, looking at Kouse with a face could only be described as concern.

"Please don't let the hatred consume you. You'll only hurt more until you are beyond pain. And there is no more-a haunting feeling than that. I know how revenge must feel, how it must taste, right now, but don't let it consume you."

Kouse listened to salzem's advice and smiled..he knew if he had gotten hold of the robbers who did it that day, he would have murdered them on the spot, even if they surrendered.
He knew that revenge wasn't the way and he understood the consequences.
He wasn't pursuing revenge right now.. But he wasn't pursuing revenge because of the consequences he knew he would face if he did.. It was because he simply didn't know who had done the deed. 
"I'm okay salzem, I'm not chasing after revenge, I know my priorities" kouse said "it is to become the strongest ninja that I can be".

Salzem nodded as he heard Kouse's response. Good. That would make it much easier. He would then begin to head back into the village, content with how things had turned out, despite the sad news.

"Well, I've got people to attend to, Kouse." Salzem would say over his shoulder. "If you need someone to talk to, please feel free to find me." With that, he would shove on hand in his pocket and the other held up in a wave as he disappeared into the Konoha crowd.
