Fen Meets with the Raikage

Fen Arrives at the Raikage building an hour before the meeting, he sits down in the waiting area, waiting on someone to eventually call him back to see the Raikage, this was the first meeting with the Raikage, offcially, and Fen wished to make a good impression, so he just stayed quiet and waited, the sun today was shining, the clouds were not in sight, and the wind was ever so slight with a hint of fresh cut grass, Fen today was wearing his burgendy suit, but he had his eyes on a white one he wants to get eventually, and hopefully soon

Ever since her ascension to the rank of ANBU, Akihana had found that life had gotten harder. Of course the amount of work she had to put in had increased but it wasn't simply the work - the physical effort was almost a relief, making her get rid of some of the pent up mental energy that came with the new responsibility now placed upon her - but the mindset that exhausted her. Putting in the hours at training, here at the office and being home with Arata in time to make dinner, read him his stories and put him to bed only to rise before the crack of dawn the next morning to get in a jog before waking Arata for school (Lillia usually watched the boy while he slept) was all taking a toll on her and as much as she tried not to let it on, those familiar with her facial features could see a slight paleness to her usually porcelain face and a dull, tired look lurking behind her eyes.

Not many people knew of her promotion to ANBU, still fewer knew of her role with the interrogation squad. Perhaps only two people in the world knew the whole story, Yaju who had given her the rank and Fenn who had been the first person she had told everything to. In essence, she had to keep continuing her job as secretary as the best cover for what she did behind the mask. A secret operative had to remain so, and no place was more secret than in plain sight, waiting at her ample desk in front of the Raikage's inner chamber, a smile lighting up her tired features as Fenn walked in.

"Hi," she greeted him, all professionalism put aside as she reached around her desk to give the redhead a hug. "Did you have breakfast? I baked some cupcakes yesterday, here, have one?" she offered, passing him a small tray in which a dozen cupcakes rested for everyone who passed by her desk.

Fen gave Akihana a soft smile and hugs her softly and he nodded to her "yes I had Breakfast, and No thank you though, Is the Raikage ready for our meeting, I really want to meet him, seems the other two times was rather unofficial, so I am rather excited to get to know him" Fen smiled as he would now break away from the hug and look around taking the site in, of the office, and then of Akihana, Fen had not been around often as of late, he had been trying to prepair as much as he could and train as well, he would notice the change in Aki and she could see the worry wash over his face "Aki-Chan, have you been running yourself ragged again?" fen questioned with a curious tone, meanwhile while he waited for her two different answers, he would be keeping a look over his shoulder, he seemed slightly paranoid at all times lately, as he no longer had Akihana much to cover his back like he was used to

At the mention of wanting to meet the Raikage, Akihana opened the apointment diary that was the commendments of this job. Usually it was so full the kunoichi had to write additional noteds on chits of paper and stick them in just to keep track. Today was no different, she found Fenn's appointment scrolled in a clerk's neat handwriting, confirming the appointment.

"You're definitely slotted in for today," she grinned, her expression cheering up at the sight of Fenn. "Let me just check if he's busy." fluttering her golden eyes once, the Kunoichi activated her Norito seal, silently telling Yaju that Fenn was here to see him. She heard papers shuffling on his end and what sounded like a drawer being slammed shut. It was easy to imagine his frustration, meeting Fenn would probably be a relief.

"Aki-Chan, have you been running yourself ragged again?"

"Just the usual," she answered, not wanting to go into detail here. It had been a while since the two had worked a mission or even trained together. The last real time they had spend together had been when they had adopted Happy-chan from the animal shelter. In reality it was only a few weeks ago but for some reason, it seemed longer.

"No one's there, Fenn," she reassured him, catching his paranoid glances over his own shoulder. "I promise. And if there is, I still have your back." You didn't need a jutsu to read some minds, you just needed to be a good teammate and friend.

"Go on in, he'll see you know," she added once the message was received. "Don't bow though, he hates that. Just stand firm, look him in the eye and you'll be fine," she elaborated. "Good luck."

Fen smiled and nodded to her, mouthing a 'Thanks' to her, and he would walk into the office of Yaju, looking to see where the man was located in his office, he would assume the desk and start there, from there, he would scan the room if he was not there and begin searching for him, and even when he found Yaju, after introducing himself with a quick "Greetings Sir, my name is Fenikkusu" he would look around anyways, looking for things that may surprise him if he did not look, then after acknowldegeing the whole office, his attention would be back directed at Yaju

He had been in his office the whole time sitting at his desk, legs propped up on the table as he looked up to the ceiling of the office a lot on his mind but apparently he was engaged in an internal conversation with himself," It looks like the time is drawing nearer for the both of us to see who is boss...Now i've taken the liberty to channel your chakra into myself, but now...We need to settle our little differences once and for all," the turtle who had by now known that it wouldn't be able to take of his body as quickly as it throught would chuckle and not say anything, although the opening of his door had quickly cut their conversatoin short. As Fenn came into the room and tried to introduce himself, his eyes looked over his feet for a moment," I already know who you are....get to the point of why you're here," removing his feet from the desk he would sit up right, staring at the boy with his red eyes as he pointed for the boy to take a seat and begin talking.

Fen would take the seat he was directed to and looked at yaju and bowed his head quiclly then began to speak "Railage sama I wish to enhance myself becoke stronger and better, I wish to become ANBU and I will do anything to obtain it sir, I have people I wish to protect sir and I have met one once and he was nice enough to escort me out of the hideout I stumbled across when I was blind" fen would stop after that for fear of rambling

Was that a bow? Did this kid actually just bow to him? A brief twitch befell Yaju's brow as without a moments notice his body was over the desk and his foot? Currently implanted into Fenn's chest as he began to speak,"DO NOT FUCKING BOW TO ME!!!," yeah unless people didn't know, Yaju was not a fan of bowing and anyone that did bow to him was definitely getting kicked in the chest. Landing on both of his feet, he would look towards a Fenn that would have be implanted into the wall near the door as he sighed," Look kid you want to be ANBU you gotta follow rules, and one of those rules is to NEVER bow to me. You either speak or sit the hell down got it?," moving back to his desk he would sit down in his chair and point to the one opposite of him," Now sit and let's try this again...why are you here," take two in the situation and if Fenn made the mistake again it would be the window.

fen would be kicked suddenly in the chest and sent flyong coughing up some blood,damn aki was. going to be pissed at him for that fen would wipe the blood from his lip and tried his hardest to walk back to the chair and sit down slowly begining again "my appologizes sir but it is a sign of respect and reapect must be shown to a shinobi of your caliber but as for why I am here is a meeting and an oppertunity for us both, sir I have been aimming for this poaition for awhile, I really do wish to make you andthe whole village proud of me, I personally think my greatest potential will be reached in ANBU but I know one can not simply apply for it but I wished to ezpreas my intrest in it as you may know from the repoets I'm rather decent in intel gatheeing and it helps I have no real family aome friends but at rhis point in life I do not think I would be missed if something was to go aray" fen qould give it aome time ro allow it to aink in swallowing blood now and then

"No.....bowing to someone like me is a sign of disrespect and dishonor. If you're going to be honorable look me in the eye, because no enemy will allow you to simply bow to them," reclining his chair he would listen to the boy speak, his read eyes slowly calculating the boys chakra reserves to the point where a small smile appeared on his face. His composure was relatively laxed to the point where he would shrug for a moment and reply," So you want to be ANBU because you feel your abilities are fit for it? Well ANBU is more than just intel gathering....its also killing whomever i tell you to...if i ask you to kill someone close to you can you honestly do it?," he waited for the answer, his hands clasping together tightly as the deep crimson eyes stared into the boys eyes.
