[Flashback to when Den operated a clinic in a small fishing town]

Denkiteki took long, soothing breaths as he went about washing his medical tools. The blind healer didn't have any appointments that day so he was taking time to do a secondary cleaning on his equipment. It wasn't necessary at all, the tools were already spotless, but Den found the act soothing and enjoyable.

He'd been working in this clinic for a few years now, having returned to this world after Sanctuary had fallen apart and spat him back out into it. Thankfully Maku and Aki had found him, helping him move out of the small shack he had been working out of and getting him into an actual clinic. It was situated in a small fishing town that didn't see shinobi often, with little conflict Den found himself mostly healing sick and old people.

Today he was in the clinic alone, the reception room in the front was empty. He passed the time in the back room doing some extra cleaning, listening out for anyone entering the building. As he did so the blind man was also able to listen out to the movements within the town around him, since adjusting to being blind Den had found that his other senses had become far more powerful. It wasn't quite bustling but it was a busy time of day, with a couple of people walking through the streets going about their business.

The building was modest in size but was well taken care of, Den himself didn't maintain it but usually thankful clients or workers from the restaurant came by and helped make sure everything was in order.

Denkiteki was dressed in long pants and a loose-fitting shirt, though he had a white coat hanging up nearby that he could throw on in an emergency. The blind man had a piece of fabric wrapped around his face, a wide blindfold that stopped just below his nostrils and covered nearly half of his forehead. Beneath it were his eyeless lids as well as a new mark that had grown on his forehead.

He had recently completed his training with the Creation Rebirth technique and created the Strength of a Hundred seal upon himself. He was still getting adjusted to the technique, it wasn't at all similar to the medical techniques he had relied upon in the past. But he was afraid to draw upon the powers gifted to him by the Snakes of Ryuchi and that he had gained via experimentation, worried that his body would become unstable again and that he wouldn't be able to stop it in his currently weakened state.
