What Ryo Buys [Mission, Zraix]

In morning's dusk, the townsfolk gathered in murmuring crowds dirt patch surrounded by wooden structures, their center square. Painted words, flaking on wood, indicated the austere purposes of these shacks, Sherriff, Goods, Court. The early morning fog, rising up from the well-trodden dirt, swirled into wisps as it met the trembling lips of the townsfolk.

"You know what will happen if they find out what we've done...." mumbles a shawl covered woman.

"Aye, nothin' worse than what's already passed... answered a burly man sporting a red stained apron.

"Well!," interrupted a bespectacled, cloaked gentleman, "had we been able to gather up more funds we would not be in predicament!"

His words ignited the crowd like gunpower, the town roared with heated disagreements. A loud banging halted the commotion, all eyes turned to a senior, a white-haired woman in plain robes. After slamming her cane down once more, for emphasis, the senior addressed the town.

"And let's not forget, Proctor, that it was our choices that brought about this mess in the first place! Years ago when we all stood here and agreed to slough of the yoke of Hoshigakure and the Authority of their Kage, we invited this disaster! Now, as we stand powerless to stand against the consequences, we have no choice but to ask for aid.

The crowd grumbled. Some wished to disagree, but the broken windows of a shattered home in the distance tamped down all protests.

"Now then, though I expected them to arrive later, it seems we must welcome our new guests."

The senior thrusted an open arm, the crowd's eyes followed and each turned around. Traveling the dirt path, bathed in the light of a new day, were two figures. The shadows cast by the trees lining the road obscured their faces, yet their figures were striking. One was lean, one was broad and both came toward the village at a measured pace.

The crowd shifted, visibly uncomfortable, as the two shinobi walked in, each fearful eye darting to the symbol that was engraved upon their headbands, the sign that these men were of the military arm of Hoshigakure.

The broad man, stepped forward. His jet black hair was as unremarkable as his garb, simple black top and martial pants. With a trained expression, this man  bowed.

"The Hoshikage wishes you well, Herr Kiroka.," address Monsoon to the senior woman," "He is glad to know your village wishes to rejoin the fold."

Monsoon's announcement was answered by disgruntled whispers through the crowd, but none spoke up. Monsoon looked to the shinobi he came with, a regal man draped in a ronin's robe, Zraix Hoshimura. The swordsman would look back at Monsoon, and indicate with his head. Where before Zraix would be the one gathering intel, in this Mission, it would be Monsoon. To test your analytical strength, as well as your physical! If your mind can't keep up, it won't matter how much power you have, were the words said to the Uchiha before they departed the village, to this town.

"Is there any information you could give us? Do you know who came to your town?"

"Yes, we are more than acquainted with them. They call themselves the Metal Chain Gang. Their leader calls himself IronJawz, he is a ruthless, greedy barbarian. They come from past the border, between Haven and Mountain country. Apparently, their placement makes government's difficult to pursue, as there is a disagreement with jurisdiction. Our town was relieved to know that the Hoshikage would take up this mission..."

Monsoon was surprised at the wealth of information Herr Kiroka had. Being a student of Aegon, he pressed further.

"You seem to know quite a lot about the men who've raided your town. Has this been going on for some time?"

"Yes, for some years now. Though...it has never been this bad..."

"So why wait until now to call for help?"

The air still with the posed question, causing a gasp to ripple from the crowd. Herr Kiroka, whose expression was kept pleasant, hardened.

"And what is it you're implying, shinobi?"

"Nothing," Monsoon said as he raised his hands up, "We are walking into a possibly organized band of deviants. Any and all information you could bring us will only help in our endeavor to aid you. So, I'll ask again. Why wait until now? Is there a reason they escalated their assaults?

Herr Kiroka would take a moment to compose herself. "Fine. If it will help...we made an agreement with IronJawz and his crew. He would protect our village from danger, be it from other raiders or Haven village. His price kept increasing, our town was being robbed of everything for their protection. When we stopped paying, they came and...kidnapped my granddaughter. That is why we've come to ask for your Kage's aid."

Monsoon would offer his condolences. With all the information gathered, he and Zraix went in the direction of Stone Country, to converse their plan.

"Do you think the hostages are in danger?"

Zraix over heard the whispers of the villagers that they had come to liberate from the oppressive forces of the gang that had taken up camp near and has been terrorizing the small villages that sat on the outskirts of Hoshigakure- the ronin sighed deeply as he realized that the gang responsible for these horrible crimes was the same group that he had previously disbanded or so he thought he did. He would approach Monsoon who had agreed to take up this mission with him and would ascertain as to what information the Uchiha had obtained about the people who had been captured and the bandits who were responsible for such. He listened in as Monsoon spoke to a woman who gave more than a few details about the gang that was responsible for taking some of their villagers captive and causing problems for the villagers in general. It seemed that the leader of the gang was a man by the name of 'ironjawz' and he was quite the brute which came as no surprise to the Hoshimura- he would listen in for a while longer before he and Monsoon chose to head in the direction of the bandit encampment that was located near the their borders but towards the stone country. Zraix would wait until his partner was done speaking before replying to the stout Uchiha, "Though it might sound ruthless I dont think it matters whether they are in danger or not. We have one goal and that is to wipe out these savages and bring peace back to this village. If we manage to bring back these captives alive then thats great but if not their sacrifices wont have been in vain."

The two shinobi would have traveled for a few miles before reaching a large stone tower that loomed over the land beneath- the tower was 100 meters tall and seemed to have ten levels in total to it. Outside of this tower were two guards- one of average height and build that wore a shirt without sleeves and short pants, a short sword at his back. The second man was of great height and large build with a battle axe strapped  his back and neither of the two men looked happy to see Zraix or Monsoon. The ronin would look at Monsoon giving him the signal that he intended to deal with the two guards by himself- the two men stood 10 meters from Zraix and they drew their weapons as if to ready their stance and get on guard. The Hoshimura would walk towards the men at an even pace, drawing his katana and wakizashi with his respective hands and halting his stride when he was 5 meters away from both men. "It appears you're the welcoming party. Well, ill give you an opportunity right now to tuck tail and run. If you choose to stand here and fight ill have no choice but to end both of your lives so I would think about it carefully before you make a rash decision." He said looking left and right at both men wondering who would reply if either of them would at all. The man of average height would step forward and point his short sword at the ronin before speaking, "I dont know who ya think ya talkin ta but weez two a da strongest guards that o'l ironjawz got. So if ya finished talkin weez can get ta fightin" He said in an accent that was so broken it was impressive. Zraix would shrug as he looked away from the average sized man and looked at his burly counterpart who hadnt said a word but drew his battle axe and readied it with both hands. "How about you? You might be big but maybe you arent as stupid as your partner here. Walk away and live to fight another day." It was less than a second after the ronin finished his sentence that the large body guard lunged at him at a speed of 100, a sight that was most shocking to behold. The large man would swing horizontally at Zraix hoping to cleave him in two  but the ronin would respond by blocking his slash with his katana and following up with his wakizashi, slicing the mans left arm clean to the bone and forcing him to let go of his axe. Zraix would follow this up by dropping his stance low to the ground and executing a cross slash at the burly guards shins, separating the lower half of his leges from the upper half and ending his life.

The average sized body guard wasted no time in taking the opportunity to attack Zraix from behind with a slash but before the Hoshimura could turn around to face him, excited at the prospect- Monsoon intervened and close lined the guard with his left arm and crushing the mans neck with the sheer force of his bicep and forearm. The average sized guard would drop to the ground gasping for air before eventually collapsing and marking the end of their battle. Zraix would sheath both of his blades before turning to Monsoon, "You know? Thats what I like about you Monsoon. You always know the right time to jump in. I owe you one man." He said as he placed his hand on the Uchihas back and smiled.

The time had come for the two shinobi to enter the tower and confront the leader of the operation but they had to find a way to make the leader come out of hiding and acknowledge their presence. Zraix figured the best way to do so would be to kill more guards and ascend through the tower but this would cause unneeded attention to be placed on them as well and harm could come to the villagers that had been captured. So the alternative was to draw out the boss man himself and him alone. Zraix would turn to Monsoon before they entered the tower and explain the plan to him, "I have a new technique that ive been wanting to show you. But in order for it to work were going to have to scale this tower and get ride outside of the window of the top room. Im sure thats where the boss of this gang is." He waited for the nod/ approval of Monsoon before he leapt up to the tower and began scaling it from the outside- Monsoon followed close behind and soon the Hoshimura and Uchiha were in place to execute their plan. Zraix would peer into the window of the tower and sure enough there was a man who met the exact description of the gang boss from the intel reports- Zraix would begin stringing together handseals and as he finished a portal would appear next to him, the outer rim of it being blue in color- at that very same time a portal would spawn 5 meters from the man inside of his room to which he was startled and screamed, "HEY WHOS TRYING TO PLAY A TRICK ON ME. IT AINT FUNNY ILL FIND WHOEVER IT IS AND ILL KILL EM" The man belted as he walked towards the portal and stuck his hand through in order to see what was going on with it. The moment he did so his arm would be unable to pass through and with his face close enough to the portal Zraix would stab his katana through it piercing the man through the skull and killing him near instantly.

The two shinobi would venture into the hideout after, save the villagers that were tucked away in the top two levels and bring them back safely to the village. The gang of bandits now dealt with.
