Gaia's Gauntlet

Name: Gaia's Gauntlet
Appearance:
The gauntlet itself is custom made for each of its wielders, allowing for the dimensions to be perfectly molded to each hand it rests upon. It consists of a predominantly leather design, which is further reinforced by metals native to the Land of Sky. On each finger tip are also sharpened pieces of metal, formed to appear as finger nails. They are capable of doing invaluable slashing damage on targets. With the sharp variant of this weapon, the knuckles have 2 centimeter long spikes, capable of dealing serious puncture wounds when coupled with a punch. With the blunt variant of this weapon, there are no spikes on the knuckles but instead there's fortified plates of metals akin to the design of brass knuckles.
Backstory:
Zidane was mesmerized by the awe-inspiring landscapes surrounding Otogakure. The roaring waterfalls, lush greenery, and the mysterious peaks of the mountains became his inspiration. Seeking to embody the spirit of nature, he envisioned a gauntlet that would harness the power of the elements and become a symbol of resilience and harmony for the village
With unwavering dedication, Zidane poured his heart and soul into every intricate detail of his design. He meticulously crafted Gaia's Gauntlet, carefully combining different materials that would evoke the hues of the colors of the village. Seafoam green captured the nature aspect, which to him was a combination of the green forestry and the blue sky. Black was a symbol of the shinobi force, indicative of their formidable and discrete presence. It was as deep as the night sky, embodying the mysteries that lay hidden within the shadows of the village. To him, grey was a balance of the two primary and served as the accenting one that complimented each; while simultaneously being a representation of the shinobi village's infrastructure, and surrounding mountain range.
The gauntlet was a testament to Zidane's ingenuity and many hours of research. He had studied in the library, watched outside Foster's Forge, and volunteered a few hours within the forge. It was there where he was given the opportunity to work on an individual assignment, which is when he designed and prototyped the first glove. Constructed from native metals that captured the essence of the Land of Sky, it possessed a unique resilience and an ethereal vibe that hinted at its extraordinary potential.

The gauntlet is custom designed for each Otogakure shinobi that purchases it. Resultantly, it benefits from a single trait depending on which the user selects at the time of purchase. Note that a Sharp / Blunt gauntlet will not benefit from the Impaler / Fracturer traits unless those traits are specifically chosen by the wielder.

- Trait Options:
- Efficient Channeler: Allows the user to funnel chakra into the gauntlet to serve as a catalyst for techniques of any specialty. This can be as simple as emitting shockwaves from the gauntlet, to as complex as absorbing or redirection chakra through it. In doing so, the gauntlet maximizes the user's chakra control to reduce the hand seal requirement by any and all techniques channeled with this glove. If the gauntlet's base health is 50 / 100 / 150, then the user can reduce the hand seals required of a single technique by 2, every 3 / 2 / 1 posts. This trait alone cannot reduce a technique's hand seal requirements lower than 1 seals. Note that skills such as One Handed Seals (not Whistle Trigger) count towards Channeler when the gloved hand is performing the hand seals. Having two Gaia's Gauntlets equipped does not stack the benefits of Efficient Channeler.
- Fracturer: Exclusive to the Blunt variant, the reinforced plating along the knuckles of the gauntlet are steel plated, and thus when striking a target the gauntlets have the potential to break their bones. Should a target's strength stat be inferior to the health of the glove, they will have their bones at the point of contact broken on impact. Broken bones imply that the limb they belong to cannot be used until healed by a proper Iryojutsu technique such as Mystical Palm Technique.
- Impaler: Exclusive to the Sharp variant, each strike from the spiked knuckles or fingertips punctures the skin causing the target to bleed profusely. The wounds resemble deep puncture marks, reminiscent of a brutal impaling. This removes the potential of the gauntlets dealing damage at impact force, and replaces it with the capability of forcing damage over time on a target. When unaugmented, its DoT comes at a rate of 20 damage per post for 2 posts. When augmented at B / A / S the DoT comes in the form of 30 / 50 / 70 damage per post for 3 posts.
- Supplementary: The gauntlet passively emits an aura from it, expanding to be 5 meters omnidirectionally from it. The aura is harmless, but allows the user's supplementary techniques with a "Touch" range to passively gain 5 meters to their range. Qualifying techniques include Fuinjutsu which must be applied onto a target, touch based Iryojutsu such as Mystical Palm, and more. Offensive techniques such as Taijutsu strikes which require the user to make physical contact with a target do not benefit from Supplementary. Any technique that benefits from Supplementary only have their range altered, whereas the rest of the technique remains as described in its application.
