The Blessing

It was time. Kinko was waiting with Yazui as the two finally figured out who Yuto was. Usually Kinko would just invade and ambush any fort, garrison, or cave but Kinko felt the powers of restorative justice. They needed to terrorize the criminals as they had terrorized their victims, in lands unfamiliar to them. Kinko had a note delivered to Yuto, one that he knew Yuto would not refused. It was signed, sealed, and delivered promising large contracts for criminal behaviors. It pleaded to Yuto's ego, naming him one of the most brilliant and best at what he did, knew he could be trusted, and someone know who had to get work done. Yuto's work and organization truly was some of the best in the nation. Kinko did not believe this at all, but Kinko knew how to persuade, and appealing to ego was one of the easiest ways to go about it.

Of course, Kinko would never let an offer or a contract go unnoticed, as Kinko even promised a conference fee, just show up and we will pay. Little did Yuto know, Yuto would be paying with his life, along with any lucky fools he brought along with him. Dusk was beginning to set in and Kinko knew that these fools did not believe in ghosts but Kinko and Yazui would do something to make sure they believed in something .

The area that Kinko and Yazui were to meet the mob boss was an open mossy field with wetlands and creeks nearby surrounding by trees, adjacent to a minor statute of Jashin. The field was identifiable to anyone local to the land and enough to cover their presence. A chilling wind blew as Kinko stood in the middle of the field, awaiting his victim. Kinko dressed in his typical regalia, the burgundy gloves and boots in a black cloak. His cloak dawned almost down to his boots, with his turquoise eyes brightening up the gloomy skies. His fangs displayed with every smile as Kinko could hardly contain himself. He knew Yazui was going to have a blast as well.

The trap was set. Now all that was needed was for the big, fat rat to show up and take the bait.

Yazui stood next to Kinko, slightly shorter than his companion although his perm added some height compared to Kinko's sleek black hair. He was fairly relaxed, although he would still look around and shift his composure from time to time. In an open area like this, the chance of anyone sneaking up on them was slim. But at the same time, the two were clearly visible for anyone approaching them. Whether this was a risk or not depended on how well Kinko´s ploy had worked.

Yazui had to give it to the Kyuketsuki; the plan was clever. The way Kinko was able to delve into the psyche of a man who he had never met before and figure out just what he wanted to hear... as a fellow manipulator Yazui was impressed.

"I've shown you my genjutsu the last time. So Kinko, I expect a demonstration of your abilities this time around." He said the words in a joking manner, even adding in a little poke in the man's ribs with his elbow. But the fact that Kinko now had an edge in knowledge between the two of them didn't sit well with the Tenka. He didn't consider Kinko a threat or an enemy for now, but since both of them joined Yugure around the same time he did feel a competetive drive to outdo the man.

As it was, though, he didn't know anything about his abilities outside of his Kyuketsuki anatomy. And even that wasn't saying much, as all of the Kyuketsuki he had seen in battle had widely different appliances of that power.

"There they come.", he suddenly mumbled, eyes shooting from the nearby treeline. A single figure slithered from the shadows and into the light. A tall man with blonde, slick-back hair and a small goatee. He wore a traveling cloak to seem inconspicuous, but the glint of several rings around his finger revealed a desire to show off his lifestyle even when trying to remain under the radar. The man approached the duo until halfway across the field before discarding his cloak and revealing a dapper suit underneath, as well a katana in its hilt resting on his hip.

"Did he come alone..... no." It was hard to see at first, but Yazui could vaguely make out the shape of two bodyguards lurking from the canopy. "So the boss himself serves as bait for an ambush, and the bodyguards strike if needed. Guy's got balls, I'll give him that."

"In the treeline.", Yazui would mumble to Kinko while Yuto was still outside of earshot. Much like Kinko, he was itching to get this show on the road. His power had grown considereably since joining Yugure, and he was dying to cut loose.
