Travin listened to his friend talk about his new eyes. Some kind of infrared vision, while Travin didn’t think that it would only give him that and nothing else, and that there was probably more to be discovered on his new eyes. He was more than willing to share what knowledge he had on the subject. “The burning sensation is normal, and you will get used to it. That's just what it feels like to spin chakra within the eyeballs. I've been told that there are some jutsu that my clan can do that will literally make your eyes bleed due to the strain it puts them under '' Travin would tell his friend. Taking a second to think about how to explain the way he shuts off his doujutsu. He has had this for a lot longer and at this point it has just become second nature to activate and deactivate his Sharingan. “You have to stop the chakra from going into your eyes to turn them back off. The best way I could describe it would be to think of it like you're releasing yourself from a genjutsu. However, instead of flexing your chakra you're choking it from a point of your body.”

Travin would wait and see if his advice would help his friend, it was a hard subject to discuss, but an extremely important one. For if his friend could not figure out how to shut them down then it would be a consistent drain on his chakra, and could cause permanent damage to his eyes.

"Normal? You mean to tell me that's what you deal with all the time? And bleeding? Man...having dojutsu sucks doesn't it?" Lucian would respond, attempting to sympathize with Travin. He never realized the amount of strain that using his sharingan would place on the Uchiha. However now having some experience with using his Kashogan, it started to make sense. Lucian would at this time be a bit cooler and less irritated with himself, however still that immense anger he had felt seemed to manifest in his eyes. The change was subtle enough that neither he nor Travin would have noticed, but sure enough his eyes had started to mature from their Netsu state into the rare Nensho stage. To Lucian, this change would go unnoticed until he could closer inspect his eyes. Besides, the pain from using them wasn't any different. But what was interesting was that his vision felt like it had expanded a bit, being able to see a bit clearer from a distance much further away. Still though, he couldn't tell if his mind was imagining this or if it had actually been happening.

Talking with Travin, and hearing his instruction, did sort of quell the anger within Lucian though. And he knew that if he were to try a new technique, as simple as learning to cancel his dojutsu, then he'd need to exhibit control and patience. And Travin echoed this thought. But when he said it, it just seemed so simple. Why hadn't Lucian thought of it? Cut off the chakra flow to his eyes so that they could releax and alleviate themself of the strain from being used. Simple enough in theory. But it was time to execute it.

Lucian would nod to Travin, and he'd then close his eyes and begin to take a deep breath. As he attempted to enter this semi - meditative state, he could feel his heart rate slowing. Additionally it stomped pounding as hard. And resultantly, the tension that existed within his body began to decompose and dissolve. The invisible burden of stress and self disappointment faded, and all that was left was Lucian. His body still emanated immense amounts of heat, but ironically this was a usual characteristic of he himself, and his bloodline. But now much calmer, he was actually able to focus. While he concentrated on his own chakra flow, he could feel large reserves of chakra being directed into his eyes. It wasn't voluntary, but instead it was sort of like a natural reaction or adaptation his body was experiencing it. And the more he concentrated on it, the more malleable it felt. So much so that it came to the point that he was able to restrict the amount of chakra that was flowing into his eyes. He did this until it was decreased into a trickle, which then was reduced further until there was virtually no chakra flow reporting to his eyes.

When he'd reopen his eyelids after that thirty second period, his eyes would maintain their normal orangish hue. And he visually seemed much calmer.

"Damn...I think that worked bro. You're kind of smart, huh?"

Travin simply nodded in agreement with his friend's sentiment about how bad doujutsu could be. He himself had several thoughts on the matter, that is until he fully mastered his and finally knew about the power that it granted him. He watched as Lucian closed his eyes for a little bit and took Travins advice on how to shut it down. It was something that he would have to figure out on his own, but Travin had done the groundwork for him. With his own Sharingan active and watching Lucian he saw as Lucian’s charka fluctuated as he tried to shut down the flow to his eyes. He saw when he started to get the hang of it, and the flow of chakra slowed down to a crawl till it finally stopped at a trickle and his friend opened his eyes once more. They were the normal eyes that Travin had recognized from their many years of training together. It was with that thought that Travin realized how weird that sounded in his head and agreed to never say it out loud to anyone. Learning visual genjutsu had taught Travin to look people in the eyes and in doing so he would remember what they looked like thanks to his Sharingan.

“I’ve been told that once or twice now” Travin would tell Lucain with a smile on his face. “How about we head out to the new KFC place and get some chicken?” Travin would offer his friend. Part of himself hoping that Lucian would forget by the time they got there that he was going to have to pay for this meal.

The offer of going to the new KFC was one that Lucian was dying for. And it would surely taste even better since Travin was footing the bill.

"Yeah let's do that! Glad I'm nice and hungry...man, you're wallet's gonna be hurting!" he'd say as he'd depart from the training facility alongside Travin.
