Hello NRPG, get ready for another seasonal event! We've cooked up some missions for you to complete for special rewards. During the night, many ninja have been having the same dreams of a twisted version of a village in the Land of Hot Water. Will you survive the machinations of the cult of Jashin?
Missions labelled as taking place in 'Yugakure no Sato' take place within the nightmares, and can be completed with any mission partners worldwide without needing to travel. The participants will have memories of these nightmare encounters, but their recollections of their mission partners will be fuzzy, so they will not be able to use them for future IC benefit (such as prior knowledge in fights beyond a sense of recognition or memorizing chakra signatures). Missions taking place in other locations will be in the 'real world', and thus must be completed with local mission partners. Deaths in any non-hunter missions taking place in Yugakure will result in that character waking up from the nightmare unharmed.

Each event mission will reward tickets, which can be redeemed at the Prize Booth. Each mission can only be completed once each by any given character. In addition, the mission 'The Truth Behind the Nightmares Part Three: Elimination' will reward a Golden Ticket for entry into a raffle on October 31.
All event missions must be complete by November 7 to be eligible for rewards, and the prize booth will close on November 14 with all unused tickets mysteriously vanishing. Exceptions may be made for Hunter missions on a case-by-case basis.
Please note that these event missions are not gated based on rank. A character of any rank may attempt any mission.

- Mysterious Figure (E):
- Mission Name: Mysterious Figure

Task: There have been reports of a mysterious cloaked figure around town. Check these rumours out.
The participants will be unable to find the cloaked figure, but will uncover evidence of a recent human sacrifice in the village.

Task: A group of locals are out in costume prowling the village for candy and mischief. Accompany them, make sure they don't cause too much trouble, and wear your best costume! This group may be just you and your mission partners, in which case... don't cause too much trouble yourself.

Task: You and your comrades have arrived in the village of Yugakure, although... you're not quite sure why you are, or how you got there. Anyways, you're all staying in a room or few in Yugakure's hotel. In the middle of the night, though, strange things begin to happen... could it be this hotel is... haunted?

Task: You wake up chained to the wall in a dank, filthy room with your 'mission partners', fellow groggy prisoners. A crackling voice comes in over a hidden intercom, announcing that you will have to go through a gauntlet of horrific tests and traps. At least one trap will be designed so one participant will have to die so the others go forward, necessitating one be sacrificed in order for the mission to be completed.
Dying in one of the traps will result in the participant waking up at home as if from a nightmare, and they will not fail the mission so long as they have met their wordcount requirement and the rest of the participants go on to complete it.

Anyways, the fearful villagers have been menaced by a strange wolf-like beast during the night, and it's your job to take care of it. However, it may turn out that one of those 'innocent' villagers is the one responsible... or perhaps even a member of your group...?

Anyways, the entire town is boarded up, with the whole village hiding in fear of something. Then, you hear a distant moan... as slowly, a horde of zombies begins washing over the town, infecting any they bite. Can you survive the night?

Task: You and your comrades have arrived outside of a mysterious building. There is one door that is watched by two guards, both wearing the symbol of Jashin. Every now and then, you see people who appear to be cultists walking up to the door. After some form of identification check, the guards let them in. Your task is to gain entry to this building through any means necessary. However, you can under no circumstances be noticed. If you manage to make it into the building, you may move on to the second mission in the chain.

- Mission Name: The Truth Behind the Nightmares Part Two: Evasion

Mission Location: Yugakure no Sato
Challenges: Arc
Task: Now that you and your comrades have successfully infiltrated the cultist building you need to find out where all of these people are going to. But be careful, the building also has security inside, specifically vampires. You must scour the many halls to find the stairwell that is marked by the symbol of Jashin, all the while staying unnoticed by the vampires and the cultists. The discovery of your true identity will result in mission failure. If you manage ascend the stairs successfully without being devoured by the vampires, you may start the third and final mission in the chain.

- Truth Part 3:
- Mission Name: The Truth Behind the Nightmares Part Three: Elimination

Mission Location: Yugakure no Sato
Challenges: Arc
Task: Upon ascending the stairwell, you and your comrades find yourselves in front of a door, once again marked by the symbol of Jashin. If you open the door, you will find a dark room, lit only by candles. In the center of this room there is a large symbol of Jashin painted in what appears to be blood. Kneeling in the middle of the symbol is a cloaked cultist with closed eyes, who appears to be exuding large amounts of chakra. Also in the room are several other cultists, who appear to be shinobi, as well as an assortment of other terrifying creatures. You must take down these skilled opponents in order to stop the man causing the dreams and save the shinobi world from their deadly dreams.

- Horror at the Hot Springs (D-S, Hunter):
- Mission Name: Horror at the Hot Springs

Mission Location: Yugakure no Sato
Challenges: Hunter
Task: An enemy is hunting you and a team of your closest companions through the twisted, foggy streets and buildings of Yugakure. One by one, you've watched them die, horribly murdered by this figure. Now it's just you and them.
This is treated as a high-stakes Hunter mission and can only be attempted by a team of one. It takes place in a nightmare (so your friends aren't actually dead), but if the figure kills a character during this mission they will be found murdered in their sleep. If the player wins, they will wake up in their home sleepwalking with the corpse of a Jashinist cultist on the floor beneath them, covered in blood.
