Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku Empty Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku

Sun Jul 01, 2018 11:47 pm
Welcome to your Legendary Weapon Fight

Before we start, a few ground rules:

+Participants are given 48 hours to respond, Mods and NPCs however are given 72 hours.

-The possibility of death is very real and in fact, expected. You are fighting a one of the stronger ninja to ever live after all.

+Once you post here, your stats and jutsu are locked in place. Anything not on your stat page will not be counted, same as the npc. Both parties should ensure all final edits to their stat pages are made before posting in this topic. Note that the the npc's will not be adhering to normal stat or jutsu caps.

-There are no get out of death free cards, if you die, you die. If you are to land a killing blow on your opponent, his body merely turns into dust, leaving only his weapon behind.

+If your NPC permits, you may edit your post once per post. Editing resets the 72 hour counter from time of edit.

-Regardless of how much coding skill you’d like to apply, each technique used must be listed at the bottom of your post along with appropriate AP deduction. If any party fails to list a tech, it does not go through

+Because this is a semi IC event, you may use the words from your battle towards stats/a technique you used or trained.

-Should a battle mod be required, one will be provided. It will not help your case to argue with the battle mod. You may make your point respectfully and then defer to the mod’s judgment. That said, we encourage talking with your opponent before asking for a battle mod

+Should the first team/participant fail, the next team/participant will get their turn. A new topic will be made for the next fight.

-Npc posts first then the participants post  IC investigating the disappearance of ninja that has been occurring near their village.

I wish you the best of luck!

Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku Empty Re: Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku

Spoiler:

Where is he?

Where is he?

WHERE IS HE?!?

Kinkaku whipped around this way and that like a man possessed. Each way he turned revealed an uninteresting landscape of green. There were no hills, no trees, and—most distressing to the large man—no humans in sight for as far as the eye could see. The ground was, however, not carpeted by grass, but rather a thick ankle high crop of jasmine. In full bloom, the plant gave off a sweet smell that Kinkaku would have once stopped to admire, but not now. Now, he had more important things on his mind.

Brother…where are you?

He took a nervous step to his right before backtracking to his left and then took a step to his left before going back to his right. He couldn’t decide which way to go; what if he went the wrong way? Surely, if he went the wrong way, he’d never see his brother again. Clutching his unique fan tighter in his left hand, the man mentally cursed his poor luck. One moment he had been floating in darkness with his brother and the next he found himself alone in this godforsaken field.

Fate, it would seem, had a twisted sense of humor.

Lost in his indecision, Kinkaku did the one thing he could do, call out to his brother the best way he knew how. With a low grunt, he broke the chakra suppression he had thus far held and allowed an ethereal flame of orange chakra to explode outwards from his body. The aura flickered and danced with all the fury of the man it represented and the beast he once battled. Any passerby would find themselves hard-pressed to not notice the flare of malevolent chakra that now emanated from the ancient warrior.

Ginkaku, I will find you.

Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku Empty Re: Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku

They say the leader shouldn't be going out on missions alone. But since his position was merely temporary, it should be fine for the time being. He let his assistant handle all of the work until he gets back. There were reports of ninja disappearing mysteriously around this area. Could it be another tailed beast? He was getting really tired of hearing about these things and just seeing them pop up out of nowhere. Kyson was walking through  an open field with no trees in sight for miles. His attire was something plain and simple, he didn't go with the whole formal thing he usual does. So he decided to go with a white long sleeve shirt, black sweat pants, normal shinobi sandals and his demon blade on his back. Along with all his other items and such. As much as he loved wearing his dress clothes, this probably wouldn't be the best place to be in it.

He continued to stroll through this large field. He used his sensory to see if he can at least find the slightest scent of chakra. After doing so for about a minute... nothing. It seems he must keep moving forward. He remembered this place being one of three areas where shinobi were disappearing. But he wasn't seeing anything at all. "Where the hell am I suppose to g-"

As he was cut off by a large amount of orange chakra being displayed to his left. It was about 150 meters to his left. The energy lit up the sky and flared all over. the crops on the ground were blowing from wind the aura caused. "Eh, that'll work." He said as he headed towards that direction. Running through the ankle high jasmine crops, if he reached his destination without any problems. He would run over there until he was about 50 meters away. He saw a person who was obviously a shinobi since he had a headband on to prove it. He would notice something strange about him, not only the fact that he had a Kumo headband. But the fact this man had whiskers. But he didn't think about it too long, he had some concerns. He had similar chakra to the bijuu Maku carries around. Things were getting a bit weird. The raikage being gone on a mission for quite sometime and now someone with the same chakra as his pet bijuu. Assuming there had to be some connection but he wasn't 100% sure. But seeing this orange chakra would bring back flashbacks of what happen in Suna. But a lot has happen since then.

Kyson would let out a display of power that didn't show no particular beast or anything. Nothing flashy, just a dark indigo aura that only went out about a meter. But it was very condensed around Kyson himself. His artificial stats were 625, which probably wasn't as much as this unkown person. But enough to show that any sign of fear was gone. Of course he'd noticed Kyson about now, probably been noticed him before he displayed any of his chakra. "I'll need some answers about who you are and why your over here. And where did you get that chakra from?" He said with a more serious tone in his voice. Not sure if this was the culprit or not, but something didn't sit well with this guy.

"Who I am?!" The large man's voice boomed with incredulity as he squared off against the newcomer. "You don't know who I am?"

A deep chuckle rolled from the man's stomach, up his throat, and out over the otherwise silent plain. The thought of anyone not knowing the legendary story of the gold and silver brothers was preposterous. Every man, woman, and child he'd faced knew and feared his name—this boy would soon be no different than all the rest.

"My name is Kinkaku," he boasted, beating his armored chest with his free hand. "Scourage of Kumogakure, battler of beasts, and the better half of the greatest duo the shinobi world has ever played host to."

With each word he spoke the man's firey aura swelled a few meters further until it threatened to consume the newcomer's lesser aura. The ethereal flame's advance, however, halted a few meters from Kyson. Then, as the ancient warrior raised his free hand to point at the other man, the once expansive flame rushed back collapsing in on itself to create a brilliant wreath of orange a few inches off of Kinkaku.

"Now, boy," Kinkaku nearly spat the words from his mouth. "I have a very simple question for you: where is Ginkaku, where is my brother?"

The man's eyes turned to slits, his tone hardened, and both arms dropped to his side.

"What have you done with him?!"

Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku Empty Re: Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku

As he tried to match his aura with man who stands before him. As he listened to his response, Kyson immediately stopped his aura as his face went blank. This guy sounded like he was really into this introduction thing. He sounded like he perfected the art of having introductions. Made Kyson actually feel bad for not knowing who this guy was. When he gets back to the village, he'll have to do some research on who this guy is. But it still seems weird that someone with power like this haven't been in the village. "Umm cool, I'm Kyson.. Kumo's... water guy... I don't know man. I still need to work on the whole introduction thing." He said as he scratched his head with a embarrassed smirk on his face.

The man asked about his brother or more specifically; his twin. Made him think about the twins that's currently in the village. Kinkaku and Ginkaku, he spoke as if they were famous shinobi. He'll take his word for it since he does show tremendous power. But he still was curious about the 9 tails chakra he's letting out. Still letting his huge orange aura let loose.

"I have no idea where he went or where he could be. But I too am a Kumogakure shinobi and I'm here because shinobi were going missing around these parts. You wouldn't happen to be involved in that, would you?" The boy said. At this point he just wanted answers and what was going on. Though something still didn't sit well with this guy even though he's a Kumo shinobi. I've never heard any mention of him from anyone from the higher ups or anything. So he must be hiding something.

"Well," he brought a contemplative right hand to his chin. "Now that you mention it...there were two people I happened upon before yourself."

Kinkaku shrugged and once more allowed his hands to drop to his sides.

"They were a lot like you," the large man nodded, affirming his own statement. "Neither one could make an introduction to save their lives, both were Kumogakure shinobi, and both seemed unable to answer my questions."

The aura around Kinkaku sharpened and took on a new heavier weight. Yes, he had indeed met with two other shinobi before this one. They had been less helpful than Kyson. In fact, they even had the audacity to attack him without a word. It really was a crying shame, he had hoped his home village would offer aide and not a Kunai in the back.

Oh well.

"Unfortunately, they had an accident when they ran into someone they weren't expecting," he sneered at the man across from him. "Yes, the more I think about it they were exactly like you."

The two Kumogakure shinobi lay dead a half mile downwind from where Kinkaku now stood. Their mangled corpses lay in pools of their own blood amidst the sweet-smelling field of jasmine waiting for the arrival of the hungry carrion birds. As Kyson would soon discover, there was no mercy for those who would stand between Kinkaku and his brother.

"I can introduce you to them if you'd like..."

Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku Empty Re: Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku

As he listened to kinkaku, it was all becoming clear. The way he spoke about the Kumo shinobi didn't sit well with him. It was like he was mocking the young Hozuki. He wasn't 100% certain that he was the culprit or not. But based on his words, that was all he needed to know. If he ended up not being the culprit behind all of this, then the boy was ready to take any punishment against him when he got back to the village. Taking a deep breathe as he watched his chakra continue to flare outwards towards him. He was not backing down this time. "No need.. I'll see them myself after getting you out of the way." He said with a smirk on his face.

Standing about 50 meters away from Kinkaku. Kyson would run towards him at a speed of 60 to close the distance between the two. He would pull out a 2 Kunai from his weapon pouch with his left hand, both having a paper bomb on them. Both handles of the kunai pressed against the purlicue between different fingers. Getting his Kunai in ready position to throw. As he reached about 20 meters from Kinkaku. He would would stop and simultaneously activate great water arm on his left arm. Throwing one of the kunai as his left arm moved across his chest. The kunai would be moving at a speed and power of 140. The boy would be aiming for kinkaku's chest. He watched closely to see how he would respond to his attack.

Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku Empty Re: Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku

So much for the easy way...

For much of Kyson's approach, Kinkaku stood stock still watching the young man's approach with a detached interest, not unlike a child watching an ant scuttle across the ground. Kyson's strides were clean and even with each step bringing him rapidly closer towards the ancient warrior. No immediate weakness revealed themselves as Kinkaku had hoped. His soon-to-be opponent clearly had the basics down. Perhaps he would provide more of a challenge than the last two shinobi of Kumogakure?

Oh, nevermind.

The boy stopped at a point 20 meters away and threw a single kunai with a flag-like exploding tag trailing behind it. Moving with all his speed just as the single kunai left the boy's hand, Kinkaku simply shifted his left foot back and to the right such that it slid behind his right foot leaving the large man's right shoulder facing Kyson and his left shoulder facing away. This allowed the kunai—which had been on track to pierce his left breast—and its inert exploding tag to zip harmlessly past his broad chest and into the jasmine 50 meters behind its intended target.

"Is that all you've got, boy?" he taunted without ever once allowing his gaze to leave Kyson.

The blue-hued blaze that would have revealed the use of chakra infusion on the tag never came to pass allowing Kinkaku to proceed without fear of the kunai exploding in his face. The idea behind the attack was, however, sound. Indeed, it could very well have worked had the tag actually been rigged to blow and had the attack not been launched at such a distance so as to allow such a large window for reaction.

That attack was just to see how he would react to it. Of course he didn't expect it to do much, but it was only one way to find out. After he let go of the kunai and watched him maneuver from it, he would make the clone hand seal and spawn a shadow clone to the left of him. And the shadow clone would make the ram hand seal and body flick 1 meter right behind Kinkaku. Since his right shoulder was facing Kyson, Kinkaku front would be facing right and his back facing left (From Kyson's point of view). As the clone body flicked at a speed of 200, 1 meter right behind kinkaku's back. The clone would instantly activate Water Soverein (150 chakra and speed) and reach for the back of his neck at the speed of 150. Right before he grabbed his neck, he would activate the 5 element seal and attempt to render him unconscious if successful. The seal would have a power of 95.

The original Kyson would circle around to the right at a speed of 100. Towards the front of Kinkaku, leaving him about 10 meters facing him. Being very cautious, he kept his eye on his opponent at all times. Ready to make any necessary changes between him and the clone depending on the situation. Still having a kunai in his left hand with the paper bomb tagged it. He waited to see what he would do. He was ready for anything when it came to him, so he observed thoroughly.

He could see why this man was causing trouble to shinobi of their village. He still curious as to where this man came from and who he was. He knows there most be some files in the village who has some type of information on him. He'd' have to do his research after this fight and quickly find the bodies of the victims. Hopefully some might be alive. But from how he was speaking, it might not be true.

Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku Empty Re: Kyson Hozuki vs Kinkaku

Shinobi Lesson #420: To remain idle in combat is to invite ruin and death.

Kinkaku, being who he was, had no intention of playing host to either death or ruin just yet and so he moved with all the fluidity a lifetime of training allowed. Of course, to Kyson it would probably appear as if nothing had changed until it was far too late. Unless the boy had the ability to see the internal chakra network of Kinkaku, he would not see the ancient warrior mobilizing all his resources for what came next. Indeed, Kyson's clone would come tantalizingly close to ending the fight before it truly began, but it was not meant to be.

Right before the clone touched the back of Kinkaku's neck—half an inch away—a dark red chakra oozed forth to meet the hand at a speed of 200. Burning with a power of 200, the cloak would not only stop the clone a centimeter short of victory but also relieve it of its burdensome right hand—if it did not somehow avoid the cloak—as it burned it away into nothingness starting with the leading thumb and followed shortly by each remaining finger in quick succession—all five fingers would never have the chance to rest on the cloak at once as they disappeared into ash. The real Kyson, on the other hand, would have just taken his first step to his right when Kinkaku's cloak sprung into existence.

Indeed, the boy would not have much time to work with for, upon the formation of the cloak, Kinkaku went from stock-still to blur of raging red as he made a beeline for the slower Kyson at a speed of 170. If all went according to plan the larger of the two men, Kinkaku, would ram his right shoulder into the center of the smaller one's chest ending the fight in an instant as Kyson's chest became nothing more than a gaping maw of blood and bone. Barring any changes, Kinkaku would impact the boy just as Kyson began his seventh step—6 meters from where he began. Ever the warrior, however, the larger man did not let his guard down in the slightest as he approached and kept his gaze on the Kumogakure shinobi he was now intent on disemboweling.
