Simple Training (Open, NK) Empty Simple Training (Open, NK)

Sun Dec 03, 2017 8:33 pm
Arriving late in the day at the training grounds, Fenrir thought about what he intended to train.  He had improved his chakra and Speed exponentially since he had been in Kirigakure, and he realized that he had yet to learn the technique that allowed him to combine the two.  The Body Flicker Technique allowed one to combine their chakra with their natural speed, greatly increasing how quickly they could move.  This could be incredibly useful for the tournament, considering his opponent was so much faster than he was.  Here in Konoha, he didn't have many people to train with, with the stronger Kiri Nin doing useful things and the Konoha Nin generally hating his guts, so he would most likely need to train Body Flicker alone.  Taking up his position in the center of the training grounds, Fenrir put his hands together in the seal used for the technique, Ram, and pushed his chakra into every part of his body, energizing it, preparing it for his quick movement.  Next, he simply attempted to dash to a point ahead of him, roughly 10 meters away and made it.  Although he had covered the distance, he hadn't done it nearly as fast as he was meant to and took up a stance to try again.  This time, he aimed for a point 15 meters away and put a little more of his chakra into the boost.  Once again, he covered the distance but failed to reach his intended speed.  He would continue trying until he got this right or until he fell into unconsciousness, as proven by many other training sessions in which he had done just that.

Roy stumbled his way in an unfamiliar village to an unfamiliar place. His superiors told him that he was going on a mission outside the village. The mission was simple: Stand there and look bigger and stronger than Roy actually was. And as he stood near the gates looking bigger and stronger than he actually was he waited. He saw no action and from what Roy could tell nobody actually saw him. A few day later and the next thing he knew he ended up in the hidden leaf village now occupied by his villages ninja. Why did this happen Roy wondered. A strange series of events had to have unfolded for him to get here. He wasn't even a full fledged ninja yet here he was stumbling around a field looking for direction.

He would find that direction in Fenrir, though not knowing his name, but knowing his affiliation through his ninja headband. He was the first person he actually had seen from his village in quite some time. He seemed inexperienced, noting his failed attempts at a technique read about at the academy, but he was undoubtedly stronger than Roy was. He was a full fledged ninja and Roy was not.

Roy would approach Fenrir with his red shirt and grey shorts attempting to make eye contact. It was fairly quiet in the area the two were at so Roy would assume Fenrir would make some sort of communication. Roy, if allowed to do so would salute and say hello to the ninja, hoping to spark a conversation between the two of them.

Simple Training (Open, NK) Empty Re: Simple Training (Open, NK)

As a boy with red hair approached, a bit younger than Fenrir, Fenrir did his best to avoid any interaction until necessary.  It was proven necessary when the boy came close, so close that Fenrir was entirely sure that he was seeking interaction.  This would come when the boy saluted and greeted Fenrir, which, after a brief pause, made him realize that the boy was from Kirigakure.  This was difficult to discern due to his lack of a headband but did spark a very important question in Fenrir's mind.  What the hell are you doing here?!?!  Realizing that this could be seen as a very aggressive statement, and one that may make it seem like Fenrir did not want him here.  I mean... why are you here?  The only Kiri Nin that are here came with the war party, and you aren't even technically a ninja yet.  In fact, you being here could be seen as a very bad thing.  Fenrir then thought of himself before he came with the war party.  He had almost no reason to have come with, but since he had, his power had grown greatly.  Perhaps this boy was here for the same reason, after all, change breeds progress, and their wasn't a much bigger change then Kiri to Konoha.

As he spoke, he would continue his training, moving back and forth between one spot and another, progressively growing faster in his movements.  This technique was going to be useful, he just needed to get up to the speed he needed to be at.  If he couldn't become fast enough to dodge Kisuke, he certainly wouldn't have any chance at beating him.  Therefore, speed was necessary.  He also thought about what he would do to deal with the Genjutsu of his opponent.  Perhaps he could make something with his forge to boost his abilities against said Genjutsu, but that would be for another time, as now he was training to deal with the speed of his opponent.

Dammit this would be a tough fight.

Simple Training (Open, NK) Empty Re: Simple Training (Open, NK)

Roy focused on fenrirs statement. Why was Roy here? Of all the lands in the ninja world this one would be one of the last places a Kirigakure academy student would, or even should, be. There seemed to be tension in the air. Roy wasn't here to make enemies of his villages ninja. He was just here to look for direction.
Roy would approach Fenrir to the distance of about 5 feet, at wish point he would bow deeply to the Kirigakure ninja.

"Forgive me comrade. My name is Roy. And yes, I am not a ninja, but I am a loyal servant of our lord mizukage. I was brought to this village for reasons I do not know.... but now that I am here I wish to serve"

Being allowed to speak the boy would raise his bow but keep his stare down at Fenrirs feet. Even as Roy would introduce himself to Fenrir, his conversation partner, would continue with his training. As disrespectful as this was Roy would continue see the full fledged ninja as his superior.

"Is there any way that I may assist you?"

The boy didn't know why he was here?  Strange, he certainly wouldn't be useful in the fight, so why would someone have brought him along?  And he wishes to serve?  An interesting attitude among the usually bloodthirsty of Kirigakure.  Then again, he was used to only meeting those equal to or above himself.  Maybe this was just how all Academy Students acted towards Genin.  It was strange in his opinion, but Fenrir was always open to free service.  Although, now that he thought about it, he didn't have any need for service.  This jutsu was simply moving yourself quickly, and didn't necessarily need a second party to be practiced.  Perhaps he could be of some use to the other though, after all, it was important to train the weak of Kiri to make them strong, otherwise they would need to be removed.  One bad apple spoils the bunch, chain is as strong as its weakest link, blah blah blah.  All he knew was that this guy needed trained or he would weaken the village, and the village was one of the few things that mattered to Fenrir, so it needed to be strong.

Now he would reply to the Academy Students statement.  You can assist me by becoming stronger, and letting me help you do so.  Do you know the three basic jutsu?  Clone jutsu, Transformation jutsu, and Substitution jutsu?  If not, would you like to learn them?  Fenrir didn't normally like to help people, but in this case it wasn't really for the person, it was for the village.  So it was probably okay.

Roy would look up to Fenrir after saying this statement. It was a strange request from another ninja to make sure that Roy himself became stronger. Why would somebody want to help another ninja become stronger? Its not the ninja way that Roy was accustomed to nor was it in his mind the right thing to do during this time of change. But this was an interesting time for the ninja of Kirigakure and maybe it was time to break the rules a bit.Roy wondered this for a few moments and then reply to the genin.

"I know the Transformation Jutsu, Sir." Roy would respond to Fenrir. Roy would try to appear confident and strong now to the genin. HE didn't want to appear like a waste of time if in the future the ninja reported said weakness to the Mizukage. The transformation technique clearly wasn't anything Roy had mastered yet but he figured he would just fake it until he made it. He had done the technique at the academy a few times before. Roy would begin to center chakra on specific points on his body to begin the transformation.

As he was doing this he would begin weaving the necessary hand signs... Dog, then boar, then ram and then releasing the chakra into his new transformation. Once the smoke clears Roy would try to transform himself into Fenrir, the ninja standing before him. Roy would put down his hands and then look Fenrir in the eye. He hoped that ninja before him would be honest enough to tell the truth about the success of this technique but in the end its up to him.

(Its your call, decide how well my Transformation is.)

Fenrir listened to the kid, stating that he knew how to perform the transformation technique.  Since he hadn't said anything about the other two jutsu, Fenrir assumed that he had yet to learn them, and watched the transformation of the boy.  He was clearly attempting to become Fenrir, but the transformation was flawed.  His height wasn't quite right, and the eyes looked different, as well as other small differences.  Fenrir used the Body Flicker technique to move around the boy, examining his transformation from different angles.  He had gotten minor details in the clothing wrong, as well as the facial differences, but overall it was a decent transformation.  He certainly hadn't fully learned the technique as he had stated, but he was pretty close.

You're too short and their are some noticable differences, but if someone had only my description to go by, you could fool them.  A little more practice and you should have it finished.  After you finish that one, I'd suggest you work on substitution.  It works incredibly well in combat, and can save your life even at the higher echelon of ninja battles.  This was all Fenrir could offer for advice until the student had chosen which jutsu he wanted to learn next.

Roy tried to keep up as Fenrir danced around him with the Body Flicker but alas he was a bit too fast Roy to keep track of. He certainly was faster than Roy was. And assuming that he was at least a genin it should be that way.

Roy listened to what Fenrir had to say about his transformation of Fenrir. Roy didn't have a mirror to see for himself but if the person Roy was trying to transform in to wasn't a perfect replication then it was a failure. Roy would let go of his chakra hold on the technique. In a few moments and in a puff of smoke the boy would transform back into Roy. He would again look down at the genins feet. A bit of sweat would fall from Roys brow as the ninja had used some of his stamina to complete the technique. He wasn't trained yet in controlling his chakra release.

"Thank you for your criticism, sir." Roy would say to Fenrir as the smoke would dissipate. Roy would ponder again for a moment at Fenrirs response. Its true he had knowledge of the Substitution technique but not enough to say that he knew it. He would then look up at Fenrir and reply.

"I will take any training on the substitution technique that you are offering, master...." Roy would let the master carry on a bit longer. He was implying that he would hope to learn of the Genins name before the two parted ways.

Fenrir liked being called sir every now and then, but this student seemed to just love calling people sir.  Listening to what the boy said in response to Fenrir's statement about the transformation, Fenrir decided this could very well be the most polite member of Kirigakure he had ever met.  Substitution, substitution, substitution.  Fenrir tried to think back to when he first learned the jutsu.  It was the one where you trade places with something in the environment, and while it was clearly useful in a combat situation, Fenrir had yet to actually use it, never really having access to something big enough to substitute with.

Tiger, Boar, Ox, Dog, Snake.  These are the seals used in Substitution.  As Fenrir said the seals' names, he would make them with his hands, moving closer to one of the training dummies nearby.  Attack me, now.  Fenrir would then perform the hand seals once again, and if the student's attack would land, it would strike a training dummy, which was now where Fenrir had been.  If he didn't attack, then Fenrir would draw a kunai and begin moving towards him in order to provoke a reaction.

Roy would listen closely to what Fenrir had to say about the substitution technique. After hearing everything that Fenrir had to say about the technique he asked the student to try and attack him. A strange request but alas it was what Fenrir wanted Roy to do.

"Yes sir!" Roy would say adding a Salute and crooked smile. As he would walk towards the genin's new position he would begin to center some of his remaining Chakra into his fist. It wouldn't do much to add to his particular punching power but it was a way for Roy to show Fenrir that he meant business.

Roy would begin to run towards the genin now about 5 meters away as fast as he could. He would be smiling as he did this to show his utter enjoyment of what was happening. He enjoyed a good little brawl. When Roy would get into striking distance he would send his right hand out to punch Fenrir with his fist. He would aim right for the center of his sternum. Should the attack it might leave a bruise but couldn't break bone. He was not skilled enough in Taijutsu to do much of any damage.
