Search for the Stars[travel]

There was no real rhyme or reason why Alice was headed this way. To be perfectly honest she had just started walking because she had grown tired of waiting around for something to happen. Ren had disappeared; no one had heard from the so-called leader of HA since he had gone back to Kirigakure. Ryu was still in Fire Country, as far as she knew, and everyone else seemed perfectly content to just sit around doing nothing. That just wasn't her style though. It had been years since Alice had stayed in any one place long, especially not as long as she had been cooped up in her hotel room with the black market. She had begun to get antsy weeks ago, only lasting as long as she did because of the promise of what was to come for her cohort. Unfortunately that seemed to be nothing but empty words at this point and the Nara had reached her limit for waiting. So, a few short days ago, Alice woke up completely fed up with her circumstances and decided to leave.
"God. How much further is it to this damn village? It better live up to its reputation or else I'm going to be really pissed." she grumbled as she passed even more pure landscape with no other people around for the third day straight. It was beginning to drive her nuts. She had already started hearing things; voices whispering her name as she walked, footsteps that weren't made by anyone or anything, some creepy singing coming from the woods she had passed. All of which was just adding to her already constant paranoia, making Alice much more aware of it than when it was simply a minute prickle at the back of her neck. As if walking all the way to Haven Country wasn't bad enough as it was.
"Seriously, why don't we have easier methods of travel? We can come up with all these crazy new innovations for shinobi, but can't make a way to get from country to country without having to walk for days on end? What kind of world do we even live in. I mean come on, give me some horses or something at least damnit! UGH!"
A flock of crows took off in flight at the sound of her last words. They had come out more as a scream, really, though she hadn't intended it to. They were probably startled, but Alice didn't care at this point. She couldn't keep herself from clenching her jaw, her teeth gnashing against each other as she did so. Her hands in constant fists, her nails digging into the skin on her palms. She kicked a somewhat larger rock and sent it flying ahead of her over the hill she was climbing. Alice couldn't wait for this journey to be over and she could find a nice inn where she could relax in a hot bath before crashing in a comfortable bed.
When she got to the top of the hill all of the tension in her body seemed to disappear at once. The sight of Hoshigakure just down the road meant that soon she would be getting just what she wanted. The mere thought seemed to give her body all the energy that had been slowly draining from her as the days went on. She took off running, a wide grin spread across her face, in the direction of the village. Nothing was going to keep her from a hot meal and warm bed tonight. She could almost taste the delicious food awaiting her, almost feel the silky sheets against her body.
"Hoshigakure, here I come!"
