Flesh-Shredder did not hear Jason's comment as the time-limit on his controlled transformation was at an end. In a reverse order of the transformation, Render was back to normal, laying face-down, unconscious on the floor. He would lay there, unable to move due to the stress the technique had put him under.

Jason would watch as the beast before him turned back into the young boy, now unconscious on the floor in front of him. What a strange turn of events this had become. Jason would pick up Render and bring him to the hospital to be treated and get some bed rest. The poor kid looked exhausted.

Render awoke in the hospital a few hours later, being fussed about by nurses, doctors and other people he couldn't quite identify. What had happened to Jason...?
