Takehiko had a cloak around his shoulder as he left the village, dawning his mask as well. Underneath he simply wore a Chuunin outfit, the one Den had worn when he himself had been a Chuunin. The cloak hid this attire however, so to anyone looking at him he would appear to be an Anbu, though his gear unfortunately did not have the durability and such that real anbu gear had.

Takehiko was known to be one of Den's bodyguards and that he was basically one of the Kage's anbu, so the guards let him through without quarrel. Unless some other shinobi attempted to stop him, he would continued north toward Yukigakure.
