Reviving A Lost Jutsu (part 3) Empty Reviving A Lost Jutsu (part 3)

Wed Mar 28, 2012 3:44 pm
Amane leaned against the solid rock walls around Sunagakure. The desert had cooled down a lot, and a light breeze picked up the sand and whipped it against her legs, each grain feeling like a tiny bullet. The night was clear, save for the odd cloud. The moon shone brightly, complimented by the stars. Not a sound could be heard, bar the sifting of the sand. The jutsu was almost complete, and she had Odin to thank for that. His howl came from behind some sand dunes and echoed off the village walls, sending some loose pebbles and dust cascading down the rocks. Amane smiled as his dark silhouette stood atop a dune, the moon behind him as he howled. He looked so beautiful, Amane felt so lucky to have him.

She had to complete it. The jutsu required a considerable amount of training, and Amane had been putting her all into strengthening her bond with Odin for the moment when they have to look into the past together and revive the Inferno Canine Technique. Amane had read about it in her clan's history, but it was said to be an old tale, something someone made up. Obviously, Amane hadn't believed this. Mainly because she had researched it for months, and knew all the background information. Only those with the clan element of fire and an incredibly strong bond with a canine could use it. One of her ancestors, Kaiba Uchiha, a relatively shy and anti-social man, had grown up with a wolf much like Odin, named Akuma. Akuma was a wild wolf, a rogue and aggressive wolf, who's name translates to 'Demon'. His fur was completely black, and while most wolves have white sclera, Akuma's were blood red. Kaiba and Akuma had been much like Amane and Odin, always sticking together and watching each others backs. They had a bond nothing or no-one could ever break, and had invented the Inferno Canine Technique. While experimenting with chakra and fire. But the chakra had been too much, and Akuma had killed Kaiba a few days later. He had gone insane from the amount of chakra, and couldn't help himself. He drowned the same day in a river that no longer exists on the desert plains.

Odin ran down the dune, followed by an explosion of sand. He cannoned into her and knocked her over, then pushed his paws down on her shoulders so she stayed put while he licked her face. Amane squealed and laughed, but wasn't too grateful when the sand stuck to her face. "Okay boy, that's enough! Come on, we have work to d--" He cut her off with a nudge on the nose and whined encouragingly. Amane sighed and pushed him off. She quickly got to her feet before he could do anything else. "Right. If...and ONLY if we get this jutsu done tonight, I will take you to Konohagakure to see Keira." Odin's ears perked up and he caught her eyes. "Yes. I am talking about her." He whined and looked down. Keira was another wolf, a wolf almost as beautiful as Odin, though to Amane no other wolf could compare to him. Keira was a female wolf, and Amane knew that Odin liked her. He didn't have any wolf friends, he was, like Amane, a lone wolf. No pack, just the occasional 'Hello'. So it was always good to see Keira. She had a pack, but sometimes they got a bit much for her. She would be just outside of Konoha now, somewhere in the forest. She always left the pack this time of year, and usually would howl for Odin. Sometimes he was close enough to hear and would drag Amane to Konoha to meet her, and other times He wouldn't hear her, but still make Amane go with him to make sure.

Odin sat down beside the wall, as did Amane. There was no sand here as the wind was blowing the other way, and the wall had shielded them from the tiny bullets. Odin butted his head against Amane and they looked blankly at each other. They were already gone, and were on their way to finding the key to this jutsu.

[SEEING THE PAST]
Kaiba called silently for Akuma, the same whistle Amane used for Odin. His shoulder-length blonde hair fell like a waterfall, his eyes as black as the night. Akuma's howl was heard from a distance, echoing everywhere. Kaiba whistled silently again. This time, the howl was closer. It was time. 'Now is the time. This will evolve into the strongest and most powerful jutsu in the entire Uchiha clan.' His thoughts were heard as clear as day, and they too seemed to echo. He jumped from the tree he had been positioned on, and hit the ground with nothing but the breeze around him making a sound. Then he appeared. The wolf with the jet-black fur, and the red sclera around his black pupils, the moon glinting off of his eyes as if they were the night sky itself. Kaiba bowed his head as he always did to honor him, and in return he bowed back. There was a river between them, and it moved at a gentle flow. "My dear friend, this is it. We will have this jutsu by the end of tonight, under our control. We can do it, I believe in you." Kaiba bowed his head again, as did Akuma. When they looked up, their eyes were blank, covered with a misty aura that made them look dead. Kaiba made a sign with his hands and then stayed like a statue. The water grew more stirred and choppier. It rushed by like a herd of deer running from a lion, and soon was roaring with the onrush of itself. A spark flew from Kaiba's fingertips, followed by a few more, and a few more, and more after that. Soon it was a highly-concentrated flame that shot out from his fingertips, gathering itself in a massive ball of fire directly in the middle of the two, a few meters above the water. The fire grew more intense as Kaiba poured little chakra doses in every now and again. Akuma didn't even stir, he stayed rooted to the spot.

The flame-ball grew even more intense with chakra and began to turn a bright blue. Kaiba was shaking like a leaf, but gritted his teeth and growled. More than half of his chakra had been poured into this. Suddenly, the flames burst out of their spherical structure, and roared. The fire formed wolves heads, each one snarling and barking. The wolves moved and merged with each other, their eyes defined by a black flame. They roared together and went wild. Three of them separated, three giant wolves, each one easily the height of the average tree. Two stayed in the middle, still snarling around, merged together. The ones that had separated crashed through the trees and broke them like toothpicks, roaring like the flames that made them. They returned within a minute, and merged back with the other ones. This was the start of the Inferno Canine. Kaiba was breathless, he screamed and shouted, "RELEASE!" The wolves exploded into thin air and the remaining flames cascaded down to the river, sizzling and disappearing as they hit. The river grew calm, and Kaiba fell to his knees. They had done it. They had got the start of the Inferno Canine.

[NO LONGER LOOKING INTO THE PAST]
Amane found Odin looking into her eyes intelligently. They had done it. She was so proud of him. They had found the secret to this legendary jutsu, and they were going to revive it as soon as possible.
