Through the gates

The vessel continued its course, passing through the crescent shaped natural gates that protected the land before them; if uninterrupted coming to dock a respectfull few miles from the gates of ketsugakure, close enough that runners and scouts would be able to see the ship and the colours it was flying. Once the ship was docked and the gangway laid out Rin strode down the first of her entourage of emissaries to step foot on the land, the smell of volcanic ash was in the air and an electric energy flowed through her, as if her very blood sung in response to the heat here.
It took time for the entourage to assemble and ready itself for travel, a minor irritation, but one that Rin tolerated out of neccesity. Were this merely a social call she would simply have made the trip herself, but in an official capacity it was best she brought such an entourage with her, appearances mattered at such high levels of politics after all.

Tanbogakure in tow.

The Hajimari was filled with prospects of NIKUYA, but with the sudden arrvial of the Chikage at the gates, all men would stand down, watching as the ship entered, standing at the ready incase of any issues.
