Disappointment

Of course, as any sane person would be, the three travelers seemed very much alarmed at Alice's unusual appearance. After all, who wouldn't be weary of a girl just popping up out of a shadow and asking where she was? They seemed trusting enough to allow her to accompany them, though. She was no threat to them anyway, not really. Alice was smart. The girl might have been easy prey alone, but it was obvious that either one of the men could cut her down in an instant. When the male with the swords offered for her to travel with them, Alice showed obvious and sincere relief on her face. Sure, she was a cold-hearted bitch and definitely a con-artist, but she had learned early on in life that it was better to surround herself with strong individuals to use as meat shields when the goings got tough.

"Thank you so much! I was just sort of aimlessly walking around and letting my mind wander. Sometimes I get like that and just end up in places with no clue where I am. It's kind of rare, but extremely annoying when it does happen. I'm Alice by the way. Thank you for letting me travel along with you. I'd rather not get caught out here in the dark all by myself."

And with that the girl kept on going with her new three companions.

As Kazuo seemed to accept the girl, the Terumi boy would simply shrug and continue on their path, following behind the man. If he thought she could be trusted, who was he to argue? And if he thought she wasn't a threat, who would he be to try to convince him otherwise?

The boy would simply quietly follow behind, the samurai, idly wondering where he was leading the small group
