Koaru laughed nervously as a middle aged Konoha woman expressed her distress. She had lost her cats somewhere in the village and were apparently in great danger if they were not fed their fancy cat dinner by six o’clock this evening. The woman was wrinkled, had a few strung out gray hairs among her brunette ponytail hairdo, and was sagging in her feminine areas. Even Koaru, the lover and protector of all women, found it hard to be attracted to the woman before her. He could not blame the cats for escaping, and figured it must have been out of desperation. Still Koaru reassured her that he would find and retrieve her cats by the end of the afternoon, and that she should wait about an hour, at most. Despite the age, Koaru vowed to stand by every woman that needed him, and will be sticking to his word. Koaru left the mission deployment office with his chest puffed out.
Koaru ran through the streets of the village, occasionally stopping to ask a citizen if they had seen a stray cat roaming about. After stopping to ask 3 people, Koaru finally received a tip from the head chef at the Ichiraku Noodle Bar. Apparently, some cat was out back, scraping at the disposed fish cakes used in the ramen. Koaru peeped around and into the alley just beside the shop and saw a cat rummaging through the garbage. Koaru exclaimed and jumped the cat, who was too startled to flee. Koaru wrestled with the cat and finally gripped it by the tail, carrying it over its shoulder. The cat let out a loud “meow,” expressing its distress. Four other cats meowed in response, stopping Koaru in his tracks. Four blurs of speed jumped off the roof and landed on the ground, surrounding Koaru. They were ninneko, or ninja cats, and had come to save their younger sibling cat. Koaru sighed.
The cats jumped with razor claws pointed for Koaru. Koaru blinked to activate his Moringan, then weaved through the attacks, careful not to harm the ladies ninja pets. Koaru dodged the forth cat, and grabbed its tail as it flew past his face. The remaining three cats hissed, and two of them jumped to attack. Koaru threw the two cats he had into the two attacking cats, causing a collision. Taking advantage of the tangle the four cats would be in, Koaru would grab all four of their tails, then tackle the fifth cat. With all five cats over his shoulder, Koaru proceeded to the Hokage’s office, all the villagers looking strangely at the scene that just happened.
