A Blacksmith's Whispering Wind
Sat Jan 04, 2025 11:59 pm
Kenta had been hard at work the majority of the day at his uncle's Forge. Whiping the sweat from his brow Kenta finished his last order for the day. He would put it up to the side for it to be picked up tomorrow, as Kenta looked out he saw that there was still plenty of light, he needed to work on a few of his skills anyways. Kenta would take off towards the training grounds, once he was there he would find a staff that was near the training dummies that he would pick up and begin to use like a spear. Kenta wanted to hone his skills. He had recently joined the village at the bequest of his Uncle and took up being a Shinobi for the higher Archy, However Kenta had made a deal with the old man, teach him the ways of blacksmithing.
Kenta wanted to one day take over the Forge, and while the old man's kids showed no skill, or drive to learn the craft, Kenta was more than willing, and enjoyed every moment within the forge, it felt almost purifying to him. It was just what he needed to go on through life, however having sworn himself to the village, he had to fulfil certain duties when it was called upon, luckily this was not one of those days for Kenta. After going through a couple of rounds with the Staff, Kenta stood there staring at the dummy as he took a bit of a breather. He was working hard, wanting to prove himself to the village. He could not understand or explain the drive, just that it was there.

Kenta would hear applause behind him as a beautiful woman with skin and hair as white as ice approached from behind.
“You have excellent Sojutsu Stranger-dono. You put my own skills to shame.” As the woman approached, Kenta could feel the temperature drop a few degrees. Nothing debilitating, but it was noticeable. It made who she was clear as day. Or her clan at least. This was a yuki, and an objectively beautiful one at that. She wore a beautiful blue kimono decorated with carefully illustrated kingfishers fluttering about. It garbed her body completely from neck to ankle but her obi cinched her waste so tightly she had a clear hourglass figure.
The woman stopped a few feet before him and smiled warmly with purple lips. “I think I recognize you from the Academy but we never had a chance to speak before. I’m Hisui Tsurara, it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” She gives a deep bow, casting her eyes all the way to floor in a show of deep respect.

Kenta was no stranger to the cold, but this was a little more than what he was comfortable with. The Blue haired male turned at the sound of applause, he knew right away just what she was, He was not a stranger to the world and its inhabitants. Kenta's Sleeves on his blue outfit went half way down his bicep, everything being nearly skin tight, working in a forge required such measures as to keep things from accidently draggin in hot coals and catching on fire. Kenta listened to her introduce herself. At which time he would nod his head towards her direction and respond " Greetins, Kenta's the name, you might have mistaken me for one of my cousins, I'm not originally from these parts, my uncle needed someone to take over his trade, so I stepped up after they had taken care of me for a time, felt like I owed them, since their kids wasn't interested in learning the craft" At which time Kenta would lean on the staff he had just been using and tilt his head slightly.
Kenta's Outfit almost seemed like one piece or even jumpsuit like, but after the slight tilt the seperation in cloths was easier to notice. Kenta would than ask her " So what brings you to the Trainin grounds, I was working on honing a few of my skills, gotta be ready to defend the village if the time calls and such. Should you not be on missions or the like? " Kenta Inquired towards the female across from him.

“Just your first name? How intimate~” She says ending her a bow, a metal fan falls out of her sleeve and into her hand. Opening the fan she covers her lips with it.
“I should be on missions, yes, but my talent as a kunoichi has a few holes that I wish to fill before I undertake missions. We can hardly be Shin (the first kanji in Shinobi Shin 忍 means to endure), if I’m unprepared. To that end, I wish to fill my holes. Kenta-sama you wouldn’t happen to know anyone who can help me grasp Wind Release would you. Whenever I attempt the nature transformation I… well….” She holds up a hand and a small droplet of chakra water appears on her palm.
“It defaults to water release. It’s embarrassing frankly, to only have one release as a kunoichi of my age. But as my husband oft says, I am a truly shameless woman.” She sighs behind her fan.
“Any assistance would be appreciated Kenta-sama. Even just being pointed in the right direction.”

Kenta gave her quary some thought, and reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. As Kenta channeled chakra into the paper, it would suddenly slice in half ." This is Chakra paper, and that is the effect from pushing wind chakra into the paper. there are varying effects depending on the element channeled in. Wind is a little tricky specially if you have a water specality cause a few things are in common, their main difference is the breeze, channel that, feel the wind around you and try to replicate that feeling within. You can always utilize handsigns that are associated with wind technique to help focus the element specifically until it become second nature to yourself. I would say to use Bird" Kenta would replicate the handsign himself.
Kenta would than take a few pieces of Chakra paper from his pocket and hand them to her. He always kept a couple on hand in case someone was in need of some help with elements and he could help. Kenta would watch intently as he awaited the results of the guidance.

“I will try the bird seal.” Tsurara says as she puts her hands together into the bird seal. Closing her eyes she molds her physical and mental energy into her chakra and lets it circulate around her system. She then would wait and simply feel the breeze on her skin. Molding and circulating chakra had always been easy for her, even though she only became a kunoichi so late in her life. Her instructors had posited it was because she was a yuki. Which only made her struggle with wind release all the more embarrassing. It made up half of Ice Release and yet here she was trying to feel the breeze just to do half of its component. Tsurara felt her flow of chakra flicker and unbalance from her irritation which she quickly quitted by switching her hands to the dog seal.
“Irritation is not becoming of a lady” She mused out loud before switching back to the bird seal. The breeze and water are similar in the sense they flow out in a steady flow, so she decided to start with that. Directing her chakra to her fingertips she let it expel outward in nature transformation. Water Shot out of her finger tips, splashing her body in the process. But Tsurara didn’t seem to notice or care, her focus zeroing on the flow of chakra.
“Wind is less condensed than water, maybe if I use up on the pressure?” She spoke out loud as she weakened the flow of her chakra. The water being expelled slowed to a trickle.
“No, that's just strength. Maybe if I fluctuate a bit. Let the chakra ripple.” The water suddenly splutters as if a fan blew into it.
“Wait…was that it? Was that wind?” She said excitedly and tried to replicate the process. The water spluttered again, and again, and again. After the fifth time, she looked positively giddy.
“Okay, Okay, Okay. I think I can do Wind Release. Let me try it again.” She cuts off the flow of chakra, stifling it at the Tenketsu Point. Then, repeating the process she just did… wind blasted out of her hand fluttering her hair.
“I…I did it. I did wind release Kenta-sama”

As Kenta stood by, leaning on his stave and wondered of other ways to try and help the process, he could hear her almost talk to herself, figuring it out on her own. So he would just sit back and watch to see if she truely understood what she was doing. Than he saw something which made him straighten up a bit. She repeated her process and was able to replicate it. Now she did not use the chakra paper he had attempted to hand her so he would put it away for now. Kenta would nod his head in approval " Not bad, good job" the blacksmiths apprentice would pat the top of her head gently.
Kenta would than spin the staff around as he walked away a few steps to spin his staff safely. Kenta would still talk to her, he was just starting to practice a couple of techniques in a new variance. " Is there anything else I could help you with at this time?" the blue haired Ponytailed man would question as he spun around, his ponytail trailing behind his movements.

Her hair was chilly to the touch, burning his hand as it patted him. Tsurara frowned as well.
“Kenta sama please do not touch me without my consent. It is very inappropriate. But..yes. I was hoping you could teach me some wind release techniques if possible. I feel I should learn a technique or two before I immediately try to learn my family's Ice release.” She says as she fixes her hair, checking to see if his patting messed it up to much.

Kenta had not reacted to the burn as being the Blacksmith's Apprentice he was use to such things, while it was a differnt type of sensation, it reminded him of working with Ice Steel. Than when she spoke about touching without permission, Kenta would stop what he was doing and immediately bow towards her and speak towards the ground, but the words directed at her " I appologize Ma'am, it Shant happen again" Kenta stayed in that position either until he felt like enough time lapsed or she verbally accepted his appology, Upon standing straight up and hearing her inquiry about techniques to go along with it, Kenta had to take some time to think about it, and before long he began to laugh.
" You know.." He would begin to say " I do not think I know much of anything pertaining to wind itself. A few techniques that amplify with the element itself, but nothing that requires it" At which time Kenta fully stood up to his full height and peered at her "Sorry I could not be of better help with that"

”Those are techniques that involve Chakra Infusion Correct.” She lets her fan fall out of her sleeves. “I remember reading in a textbook that wind chakra could be applied to weapons for a number of abilities. Do you think you could use your chakra to retrieve your spear after you throw it like so...” She swings her hand back slightly and throws her fan into the training dummy.
“That will mean something once I augment the weapon properly. Do you think Ice Steel would be a good addition to the weapon?” She says turning to Kenta.
