界王和 - Secret Shopper

Mission:

It was just half an hour before closing. The air was cool, the moon was out, and the shop keep had one more perfectly dull day just about wrapped up. Believe it or not, a dull day was a rather uncommon occurrence in this land of heated springs that acts as a sort of neutral zone for all who visit. All sorts of people pass by, peaceful types, shinobi, criminals, the wronged, the cursed, all with varying degrees of interest in the stories they’re able to cobble together for an extra bar of soap or two. For the most part it was peaceful work compared to what his customers had to do to earn their keep, though there were times they weren’t afraid to demonstrate their skills they took so much pride in. Thankfully, some regular payments to the local temple were usually enough to cull some of those brutes before they got here.

A hand brushed through the entrance way guarded by nothing but a cascade of beads and following behind came the shape of a man. His face was obscured by shaggy black hair that reached past his shoulders, but that stink of turmoil and the troubles this world offers was clear as day. He seemed to move each leg with the entire half of his body, as if his structural integrity on the inside was compromised somehow. His movements weren’t unlike any other soul who ended up here, weary from travel and bloody from the wounds of the world, and like those other souls, the shop keep had a mission to peddle his products to him.

”Just get into town? Let me set you up, people love these Lavender Loungers.” the shop keep held up a sparkly lavender bomb alongside a winning smile. The dark man moved his head slowly side to side, less of a rejection and more of a scanning gaze for other options, but neglect for his Legendary Lavender Loungers all the same. His gaze moved from product to product, the towels were all a fine white with a few different symbols, those of the village proper and some of a triangle within a circle. The man lifted such a towel and pointed it out, indicating his inquiry. ”That’s Jashin’s symbol. He’s got a temple ‘round here if you’re into that sort of thing. Blood rituals, sacrifices, I hear they do it all.”

That sort of candidness would usually put people off, talking of the horrid acts the Jashinists commit for their god, though the logic followed that if you’re going to wind up all the way here, you’ve already been exposed to the concept of sacrifice. The gamble was well taken, for the man perked up an eyebrow and brought the towel to the counter, as well as a Lavender Lounger. ”Let me get a setup for Baby’s First Bath and some more information on this Jashin guy.” the man said with half closed eyes and a grin on his face. Kai was about to get everything he needed.
