New Tools

Amikiri sat at a bench in the blacksmith area of the Dojo Yard. It used to be a location he frequented, enjoying the art of honing his armor to a masterpiece. However now it served as a relic to remind him of what he once was. He seemed to have lost his skill as a blacksmith, now no more than a man who wore armor. He sat there, his form obscured by a large cloak. The hood was down, revealing his pale face and short black hair. The rest of his massive body was hidden away underneath his cloak.

Amikiri had recently assembled himself a set of new tools. An armor made of the very threads that he was made of. A massive cloak meant to hide his new form. A great blade meant to match his new size and strength. He wished to have all three of these tools greatly enhanced and he came prepared with valuable metals and materials from all across the world. He was looking for someone who had a particular skill to them, someone who would be able to strengthen all these tools. The former Hyuuga was once a skilled smith and he wanted someone of matching skill. Now, he just waited for the appropriate person to come along.

Youta was heading into the blacksmith area today to get his new equipment ready. He would wake up at the crack of dawn and make sure that he didn’t wake anyone up. He would put all of his materials and the equipment into a storage scroll to take with him. He had some experience since his adoptive father was a blacksmith granted his father never really worked with weapons or armor more of the local stuff like farm tools and nails. Youta could not forge a piece of armor or weapons but he could modify them with materials and chakra. So he would grab that scroll and head towards the dojo area.

He would walk into the blacksmith area and see Amikiri a shinobi he met recently on a mission. they were working on something during the fall festival. He would walk up and say “Hey Amikiri long time no see, what are you doing around here today?”

Amikiri was sitting there, waiting for a smith of some sorts. And it seemed someone had answered his call. Youta slowly walked into frame and moved to greet Amikiri. The former Hyuuga was surprised that Youta recognized him, despite his recent transformation. Maybe he had memorized his chakra signature? Well, to be fair, Amikiri’s face didn't change a lot, definitely not to the degree of the rest of his body. The dark haired shinobi rose from his seat, towering over Youta and his new height becoming very apparent. Compared to their recent mission together about that strange lantern, Amikiri was certainly much taller and breadth now, by a foot and a half in height and more than doubling his weight. He was still uncertain with this new weight, as signaled by his not so gentle standing and the bench making a groaning noise, likely a figurative sigh of relief.

“Hello Youta. Sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye to you after that mission with you the other day, I was wrapped up in something else very important. Unfortunately I’m facing a similar time pressure now, so I’ll be a bit blunt with you. I’ve recently made some new purchases and my old equipment no longer works nearly as well. Do you have any skill with augmenting weapons, especially with rarer materials? Don’t worry, I can pay well.” Truth be told, Amikiri wouldn’t be able to pay as much as he would’ve liked for the services he was about to request. However all these purchases had set him back quite a bit, so he wasn’t nearly as generous as he usually would be.

Amikiri hoped Youta would say yes. Partially because he was busy and on a slight time crunch, but also so he could leave this area and retreat back to his apartment, away from the many prying eyes. If Youta did say yes, Amikiri would take out his new set of armor, Moirai, his new sword, Parcae, and his new ranged weapon, Shai. He also took out a basic scroll and unsealed nine different items from it, all various materials from across the globe.

“I’d like the armor to be augmented with Titanium, Meteoric Iron, and this Peridot. Additionally, I’d like the sword to be augmented with Meteoric Iron, Damascus Steel, and Ice Steel. Last of all, could you augment this hammer with Meteoric Iron, Hoshimura Steel, and Refined Jade?” Amikiri paused for a second to think of anything else he needed to give Youta, before remembering, “This should cover the cost of the augmentation, and hopefully this is enough payment.” He would hand over 85,000 Ryo. The first 60,000 was of course for the augmentation, but the last 25,000 was for Youta. He also handed over all the various equipment and augments to Youta.

You would look at the shinobi and say, “What a coincidence. I came here to work on some armor and a sword for myself. If you want, I can take care of yours when I am done. I do not know if you want to hang out or leave me an address or some way to contact you, but it will probably take me half a day or more to augment all these pieces.”  He would get his materials from his storage band, sword, and armor.  He would start slaving away, augmenting them all.  He would start with armor, placing the correct material on the correct piece, moving to swords, and, finally, the hammer.  He would make sure that they got the proper materials. It took him about 7 hours, and he would put his new sword and armor away after putting an armory seal on them.  He would then place all of Amikiri's stuff in a scroll and would go to look for him. “Amikiri, I have your stuff.”  He would walk up, pull a scroll out, and break the seal, pulling out all of Amikiri's stuff.  And he would hand it over, “Thank you for the business, sir.”

Amikiri would respond to Youta, saying, “Well isn’t that good timing. I have some other business to attend to, so I’d prefer to just leave an address for you.” Amikiri pulled out some paper and a pen and wrote down the address of his apartment, before folding it and handing it over to Youta. At this point the Tau would wait around for a few minutes, watching Youta work and enjoying the art that Amikiri seemed to have lost. Then, with other matters to get to, including canceling his lease on the apartment that his equipment was to be delivered to, he headed out.

A few hours later, Amikiri returned to his apartment and found his equipment packaged in a box, sitting right outside his door. He smiled for a brief second, before taking it inside to test it out and see if it fit.
