Let the Body hit the Floor

Miz knew it was time to take Zims body to the Kages office. He had enlisted the help of Kurai considering Kurai was the one who killed Zim in the first place. This wasn't something he wanted to do, he wanted to forget this event ever happened!
The rain was pouring outside and personally, Miz would have felt much more comfortable in his puddle, meditating! Taki entered the room and looked at Miz.
“You good? I know this is tough.” Taki asked checking on his little brother. He actually had a concerned look on his face.
“It's just something we need to do so we can move on from this nightmare. Kurai is meeting me at the Kages office, hopefully this is the last thing we have to do before moving on.” Miz said with a sigh ready to get this over with.
“Need help carrying the body?” Taki asked him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
“No, I got it, but thanks bro!” Miz said. Taki nodded his head. Miz gathered up the body and headed out to meet Kurai. Luckily it was night time so no one would notice! As he arrived at the Kages office building, he sat the body down!

Kurai didn't want to do this. Yes he was in the right and did the right thing, Zim was trying to defect! But he killed his friend, yeah he showed his loyalty to Kiri, but at what cost? Kurai sighed realizing maybe he was thinking a little too deep into this. He saw Miz approaching and he opened the door letting his body drop Zims body on the floor.
“Little heavy? You could have asked me to meet you at your house, I would have helped you carry it!” Kurai said to him, letting the door shut. Kurai looked down at the body and the memories started coming back! He quickly looked away.
“Let's just get him to the Kages office.” Kurai and Miz carried him to the office door and sat him down.
Kurai knocked on the door, which is a lot better than his previous behavior of just walking in.
“How do we explain this? I mean….do we say….I know you just got back….here's you a present! And then we leave? Do we explain to him what happened so we don't look like we…well I… just randomly killed my teammate? I'm at a loss here!” Kurai said, waiting for someone to answer the door.

Miz could see Kurai's discomfort. He knew Kurai was feeling extremely conflicted over what he had done. Despite everyone knowing what Kurai had done had been right, he still wasn't a killer! Well, not if someone was a close friend and teammate anyway! Miz smiled as he looked up at his friend Kurai.
“You're a Tau, Tau need hearts to learn other elements, common knowledge especially if you know one…or in our case two…wanna learn wind?” Miz asked as he stepped away from the body.
“His main element was wind, in this case you stopped him from defecting therefore the kill is yours, so take his heart. Maybe then you'll see what you did was right!” Miz said as he turned his back.
“I think I'm going to see if I can find someone to take the body, you do your thing just make sure to stitch him back up.” He said as he went to explore the office area.

Kurai raised and eyebrow at Miz's statement. He was right, at least his friend had common knowledge of knowing how he acquired elements!
“Yeah ..I need hearts…I have two now. Earth and water…why…” Kurai said and asked curiously. His eyes went wide as he listened to what was suggested.
“Wh-what? You think I should…I…I don't know if I can…I have never killed before and I sure as hell have never taken someone's heart before! The Mizukage gave me the water heart! I mean yeah…I want to learn wind…but…I...guess I could…” Kurai wasn't sure what to think but he did need a wind heart. Sighing heavily he decided to do it as Miz left. Would this help him? He wasn't even sure. Zim Nara had been one of his best friends since they arrived in Kiri and before. This was hard for him, the guilt he felt for killing him! Yet he knew deep down he was in the right, regardless if it was his own bloodlust taking over!
Kurai quickly removed his heart and stitched him back up and then just like before his threads pulled the heart into Kurais body! That same weird breathless feeling taking over!
“Holy shit…damn I hate that feeling….” Kurai said. He stood up and waited for Miz to return.

Miz gave Kurai a few minutes and then returned with a couple of people who stored Zims body in a scroll to give to the Mizukage. After storing the body they thanked them and left.
“You okay now Kurai?” Miz asked his friend. He nodded towards the door to signify for Kurai to follow him. If Kurai does so they head to the training grounds.

Kurai looked at Miz when he walked up. He did feel some relief. Relief he couldn't fully explain but a small sense of guilt still stuck around, maybe because had Zim’s heart inside of him! But that could also be a sense of relief. Regardless he simply answered with…
“I don't know how I feel…” Kurai said as the two ninja put Zims body in a scroll for the Kage.
“Maybe I'm better…. I'm numb….” He stated as he followed Miz out the door.
