Task: It is understood by Kirigakure that civilian families and partners of its shinobi will often have access to information that they shouldn't. What many civilians of Kirigakure have experienced, but seldom speak of, is the visit by masked shinobi to let them know that since their loved one is part of Kirigakure's forces, the village has eyes on them. If any information leaks, they will know, and they know where you live. Your task is to carry out this 'talk'. Go let one of our forces' loved ones know that if they can't keep their mouth shut, they will be a training mission for the hunter-nin.

Though this mission will not always (or even often) be carried out by hunter-nin, you will always be loaned a hunter's mask and a cloak in order to present a front of anonymity.

Nix's Statistics.

“Performing this task in broad daylight would be inappropriate.” Nix flawlessly iterated this smooth rhetoric didactically in time with her skipping footsteps. Masked and cloaked, an enigmatic Nix reached out a hand and firmly knocked on the house’s door. It creaked open, and Nix stepped forward so they could see the mask and cloak. They were not as amicable as Nix may have imagined, but they weren’t shinobi either. Immediately, Nix understood their apprehension and waved two honest hands before her. They warbled and screamed, frantic like small birds trapped in the intricate tangle of a tree’s branches. Nix thought she heard mocking laughter from their neighbours, which she found impolite. Like sacrificial lambs, their voices bleated between sobs, holding each other in their ‘last’ moments. “Are you here to kill us?” Nix was devastated by the terror she saw in their eyes. Her voice was contrite and labouriously sympathetic when she carefully replied, “Good heavens no... “ Seeing firsthand the signature fear of Kirigakure from its civilians was a sobering moment for Nix. Otherwise intoxicated by naivety, the young woman felt her ignorance leaning on her like a wilfully negligent sin of omission. “This is just a talk.”

The aggrieved family members collected their sensibilities, their eyes pensively staring back at Nix, who reciprocated the forlorn gesture. Nix’s eyes wandered over the intricate details of their expressions. Lingering where she stood momentarily, Nix eloquently purported her body language to be unoffensive before speaking, continuing the talk.
“First of all, good evening. I represent Kirigakure’s interests.” Nix paused, giving them a moment to truly feel the sincerity in her words before proceeding with the speech she had carefully rehearsed.
“Your loved one has elected to serve our village, and with that choice comes certain responsibilities. Not just for them, but for those they hold dear.” To alleviate the tension, Nix altruistically commended them, “Thank you for your enduring patience and support.” Nix tempered her voice, feeling the weight of the injustice that would come from revealing herself as a Genin. She restrained the urge for her emotions to break through, knowing it would only cause more strife. “As a result, you now possess knowledge to keep confidential. I trust that you understand the gravity of this.” With flawless articulation, their sullen, affirmative response etched itself into Nix’s memory. As she spoke, Nix felt the words embody the essence of life in Kirigakure for the people who were the nation’s heart and blood. “Know this: we are always watching. If any information were to leak, we would know immediately.” Similar to a shark smelling blood in the water, hunting a lone prey in a group of fish, they responded almost eerily in unison. “Should a breach occur, the consequences would be severe. “ The hollow notion that you or your family could become a training mission for the hunter-nin perturbed Nix. The sincere honesty of the family’s meekness and compliance was as heartbreaking as their response. They grasped the seriousness of the situation. Not once did they impugn or refute any statement Nix made, echoing the unspoken sentiment, “Remember, silence is not just a virtue but a necessity. "

Jayden wasn't big on masks,.they were sweaty and prevented him from seeing with his peripheral vision. The cloak however didn't bother the red heads nerves at all. He made sure his long red braids were pulled back. And he put the mask back on, his face was covered except for his brilliant green eyes. He went where he was directed to go for the mission.
Jayden lacked the scariness he may need, but at least the costume added the missing trait! As he approached the place he was supposed to be, he saw someone was already there! Was he late? Yeah this wouldn't surprise him, he has a tendency to be late now and then!
Due to how long the cloak was, it made it look as though he was floating across the ground! He floated up about a meter behind the other person and just stood there, they seemed to be doing all the talking which was fine with him! These people looked horrified but you have to do what you have to do Right? Even though this wasn't something Jayden enjoyed doing, it was a mission he was given and he would do it because it was his job.

Miz had been given this assignment to do along with his team and another person. That was fine with him. He preferred to avoid others, he wasn't a people person but it came with the job of being a village Shinobi. Meeting up with another Genin of the village meant seeing how they did missions and how they did their jobs! Besides, you never know, he would probably end up working alongside this person Again sometime down the road.
Miz read through the mission carefully, okay he was uncomfortable with this already! Yet, this was his job and no matter how he felt about it,he had to do it.
He put on the mask and the cloak then looked in the mirror. He could get used to this! He looked quite mysterious and no one would know who he was! He was running a little late and he was sure his teammates were already there ahead of him as was the other person they were working with!
Sure enough they were already there Miz went and stood beside Jayden. What gave him away? The hair! No one else has red dreads that tend to show due to their length!

A mission to scare people while wearing a mask and a cape to conceal his identity! Sure, why not? He could do that. After a ten minute lecture from his parents to make sure he didn't take the cloak or mask off! He understood. They act like they know him or something!? Okay well maybe he did need to listen to their advice, even Kurai knew he had never done a mission like this and it would be best for him to listen! He basically was just back up for the person who was delivering the actual message in case they needed help or were attacked themselves. Sometimes these families don't take too kindly to people telling them to keep their mouths shut. Even he understood this and knew that he had to do any and all missions given so he would do this one as well! Besides, his whole team was helping with this one and it included him as well.
He threw on the cloak and mask, and he liked the look! It was something different for him! Smiling he realized you couldn't see his stitches and tell he was a Tau! Until he looked down at his hands and saw the stitches. Well that was the only way to see his identity.
Kurai left the house and joined his teammates and the other person who was already there. He was late but at least he was there! So far everything looked to be going well. The person who was speaking seemed to have the situation handled.

The atmosphere in the room shifted abruptly as three more masked men entered, their silent approach betraying no hint of their arrival. The family, already tense and apprehensive, visibly recoiled at the sight of these new figures. Their faces, momentarily softened during Nix's carefully crafted speech, now hardened into expressions of renewed fear and resignation. The eldest family member, a man whose grey hair and weathered features marked him as the patriarch, instinctively stepped forward, placing himself between the masked men and his loved ones. His eyes, filled with defiance and dread, locked onto Nix as if searching for some sign of reassurance or hope that was no longer present.

The younger family members held each other tightly, their earlier tears returning. The children, who had been too young to grasp the seriousness of Nix's words fully, now clung to their mother's leg, feeling the tangible fear that had enveloped the room. The mother, in response, held onto the child even more, her face pale and her breathing quickening as she tried to keep her composure. Nix could feel the change in the air, the tension thickening like a storm cloud ready to burst. She saw how the family's eyes flickered nervously between her and the phantom spectres seemingly beyond Nix's vision scope. Their bodies seemed to shrink inward as if trying to make themselves small enough to avoid notice. The room, already dim and claustrophobic, seemed to close further, the walls pressing on all sides. The masked men stood still, their presence imposing, but they made no immediate move to speak or act. It was a silent, unspoken threat, a reminder of their power and the precariousness of the family's situation. The father's hands trembled as he clenched them into fists at his sides, struggling to maintain a facade of bravery in the face of overwhelming odds.

For a brief moment, Nix felt a pang of regret, a flicker of doubt about her role in this grim ritual. But she quickly re-oriented herself, sympathetically grasping at the feeling, knowing that any sign of weakness could be disastrous for her and the family standing before her. She maintained her composed exterior, even as she could sense the weight of their silent pleas, their desperate hopes that this nightmarish encounter would end without further escalation. When he finally spoke, the father's voice was strained and hoarse. "We understand," he said, his words heavy with resignation. "We'll do what's asked of us. Please leave us in peace."

Nix nodded slowly, her eyes meeting his in a moment of shared understanding. "Thank you for your cooperation," Nix replied, her voice measured and calm. "You have nothing to fear if you abide by the discussed rules. Remember, we are all working towards the same goal." We were keeping our village safe. Nix lamented internally. The family didn't respond, but their silence spoke volumes. They were a people defeated, their spirits crushed under the weight of the unspoken threats that hung in the air. Nix knew they would comply, not out of loyalty or belief in the village's cause but out of sheer survival instinct. With a final nod, Nix approached the door, fully acknowledging the masked men for the first time. The door creaked shut behind her as she left the house, leaving the family in a more oppressive silence. A silence filled with the heavy burden of fear and the knowledge that they had no choice but to live under the watchful eyes of Kirigakure, Nix mentally compounded the sin that its legacy of turmoil relegated to its civilians. As the arbiter's tally of discrepancies increased, so did her rage.

Ire prompted Nix to overlook the other masked ninjas and trudge homeward. They appeared to be stand-over merchants. Either an accessory to the mission, like the mask and cloak, or a coterie of actual 'gauge her tact' 'scare-you-to-the-marrow' hunter-ninja. Either way, what they did from this point was their volition. The young woman strode down the road, tears in her eyes. Instead of casting them aside, she cradled the thought of them. She was stoking the embers that would set ablaze the effigy in her mind of those who had caused this terror.

They all showed up one by one. And it was obvious to him it was the rest of his team standing around them. He could tell who was who, probably because he knew them as well as he did. The family seemed terrified and that's the downside to this job, these were innocent people, but they knew a little more than they needed to know and of course you have to make sure they aren't going to go and bring up high profile information in casual conversation!
The man who stepped forward eyed all of them carefully before speaking to the person who arrived here first!  The looks on the faces of all the family members kind of made Jayden feel bad, he wanted to say, ‘hey we mean no harm, we are just give you a warning ‘, but he couldn't. He never said a word! Obviously with the masks and cloaks on they had no idea who they were. Jayden was sure he had seen them all around here in Kiri before, especially since Kiri was his home village! The reason he chose to be a Shinobi was to follow the family legacy, practically everyone in his family was one and he want about to be left out, and he knew at times it wouldn't be a easy job to do. This was one of those times.
They all began to leave one by one. After the person who arrived here first left, and the people closed their door, Jayden gave a whistle and a peace sign to the others to signify who he was, just to let his team mates know it was him before taking off in the opposite direction! He had to do something to get this mission off his mind, he hated the look of terror on the faces of those people!

Miz watched as the family literally cowered at their presence. For some reason Miz didn't like this feeling. Isn't the purpose of being a village ninja to protect the village? Then again you have to protect the ninja who protect the village. And part of protecting the village ninja is making sure their secrets are safe. It's like a revolving circle of protection! Miz felt bad but at the same time he knew he was doing his job, even if this part of it sucked. The terrified looks on their faces made him think, at least they aren't in any real danger. He'd rather they be terrified and be safe than be terrified facing their death at the hands of a missing ninja! Which is why this mission was so important! The head of the family approached them and spoke to the one who was in front of them and said they would stay quiet. This was relatively an easy mission, and went through without any problems. Thank goodness for that. As everyone started to leave the area, he heard a familiar sound and turned to see one of the other cloaked and masked figures give a peace sign! It was Jayden. Miz gave a whistle similar to that of a bird's whisper and waved before he left.

These people were not only intimidated, they were fearing for their lives! He had been there long enough to hear someone ask if they were going to kill them, and the timid voice of the person speaking for the group replied as shocked as Kurai was! Why would anyone want to kill them? They aren't missing nin! Didn't the person speaking mention why they were here? Pretty sure they did. It's sad that someone has to be frightened to the point they fear for their lives! Unfortunately that's a part of having family in the ranks of a village. Hopefully that family member will be back home soon and be able to comfort this poor family. This mission wasn't what Kurai had figured it would be, but it was still something he had to do. As they complied and said they would keep quiet, they closed the door as the group began to leave. Jayden gave his familiar whistle and so did Miz, Kurai turned around, cleared his throat and flipped them off , that's how they would know it was him! Laughing he hurried home to assure his parents he did as they requested and stayed under cover the whole time.
