The Grind Continues

The air seemed to change around Shitai when he learned that he only had to go searching for the children that decided that school just wasn’t worth their time, He explained to Merlin how you could sense other’s by their chakra with a bit of practice and it certainly was something that he could be interested in for future training and noted it in his mind to come back to once they had finished up with the work they needed to do here. Shitai told him where he needed to go with a poof of smoke the man was gone and Merlin had to go rely on his own two feet to get where he needed to go. It wouldn’t take long to find the children and in classic Merlin fashion he lectured the children while sheparding them back to the school like a flock of sheep being herded back to their fields.

There was Shitai sitting outside the school with a shake of his head as if he knew how Merlin would handle the children but that just brought a smile to Merlin’s own face. Once the kids had been returned and they had been thanked for their work it was time to move on and finish out these requests which involved simply making some food, which was quick and easy as the only stipulation was to avoid brussel sprouts that was quick and easy then the next was to help cook some meals for the orphanage which following their prior request of cooking was just as simple if not more so as there wasn’t any stipulations on that request.

The final one the completed that day was a simple escort of a VIP architect that normally caused issues but Merlin was sure that with Shitai there it mitigated the vast majority of the issues they could have faced and with those requests taken care of it was the end of the day and time to get some rest. Merlin thanked his friend for the help and offered to purchase him some drinks the next time they got some time to themselves. It had been a long time since they had just relaxed and talked.
