Backstory: Along with Dead End Straight, Dead Man’s Visage was a lost technique created by Raizen Yamada, the Demon Scourge of the Bloody Mist. It is said that the souls of his many victims could be seen in his eyes every time he used this jutsu. Raizen was one of the most feared warriors in all of Kirigakure’s long history, however mention of his name was forbidden and after his death he was struck from the history books due to his extreme savagery, even among the Mist shinobi. He was widely known to drink the blood of his victims and consume their hearts raw to gain the great sinister power and aura he was reputed to have. However, this behavior resulted in him being driven mad from obscure brain diseases and mental disorders, causing him to forget who he was and leaving him unable to discern friend from foe. His addiction to blood and battle would lead to his demise from overusing his own forbidden jutsu. In an attempt to ensure such a beast was never wrought upon the world again, the memories of his existence were struck from official records and his jutsu were buried under Old Kirigakure. Dead Man’s Visage and Dead End Straight are two such jutsu that were recently excavated from beneath Kiri’s Archives.

Appearance: The user’s arm glows with a brilliant light in a color of the user’s choosing (often gold, blue, or black) that compliments or contrasts with the murderous intent in their eyes. This light illuminates in a 35 meter radius, though the debuff's radius is considerably smaller at a 15 meter radius.

What it does: This jutsu can only be used during the same post as Dead End Straight and has a shared duration and cooldown. The user radiates at jutsu speed a highly focused, intangible sphere around them in a measured 15 meter radius. This dome is not visible and cannot be sensed due to its nature as a Taijutsu technique. The very act of perceiving it acts as a trigger for the debuff effects. This sphere radiates the murderous intent of the user, much like Furious Design.

One jutsu of the user's choice, chakra or physical or other variety, within the range of this technique will suffer a debuff of -70 split between its stat values in whatever distribution the user desires. Alternatively, should a target of the user’s choice enter this technique’s range, they will suffer a debuff to two stats of -70. These Debuffs last for 3 posts once applied.

If a single Jutsu has multiple components/launches, they shall count as one, and all will suffer from the same debuff.

Should the user also have Sensory as a specialty, the light, in a 35 m radius from the user, will blind the target for 2 posts. Furthermore, this disables them from using any jutsu that rely on their doujutsu or eyes to activate during this time and puts any currently active doujutsu-related techniques on cooldown. Alternatively, the user can conceal the light and chakra concentration altogether, making Dead End Straight imperceptible to any doujutsu including the Byakugan and unable to be sensed by any Sensory or other jutsu whose power does not exceed this jutsu’s. This results in Dead End Straight appearing as an ordinary punch and enables it to be used in assassinations where stealth is essential.

Additionally, the user gains an additional +100 artificial stats for Display of Power when measured against a target who has been debuffed by this technique.

If the user has a speed-based fighting style, this jutsu can scale off the user’s speed instead of strength and the learning requirements are reversed.

This jutsu is slotless but still requires wordcount to learn.
