Appearance: Layne, being a Kyuketsuki, has impossibly fair pale skin and red eyes. Other than those distinctive traits he is rather short and thin. He has an androgynous beauty that he plays into often with both men and women. His hair is purple and long enough to reach his lower back, though he typically wears it up when out and about. His natural hair color is red, but he religiously keeps it dyed.

His outfits vary wildly as his tastes change from day to day, though when he needs to do something serious, he dons the outfit given to him by the one who turned him: an all white military style uniform with many golden ornaments and buttons for minimal flair. It would normally be considered a painfully simple look for his taste but because of the sentimental value it remains his favorite outfit.

Personality: "I don't think I'm better than you. I know it."

Even for a Kyuketsuki, Layne is an overconfident and unrepentant narcissist. He carries himself as if his mere presence is a gift to those around him. He will openly judge/mock others for the slightest things. Though he is vocal about other people's faults he is practically blind to his own. Oftentimes Layne regards criticism as a personal slight and usually blames any negative feedback on jealousy.

As a traveler he enjoys his solitude, but when given the chance he will revel in the company of others.
