Onyx is a 50cm long desert viper with primarily pitch black scales, and streaks of white scales.
Personality:
Onyx is a quiet and calm young viper primarily concerned with food and warmth, if it takes a liking to the taste of an individual's chakra it will quite happily curl up around them and sleep as it feeds.
History:
Discovered by Rin in the land of Iron during an encounter with an unnamed saint Onyx is the progenitor of the Togakawa clan's familiars and the originator for the clan's experiments. Whilst young she has developed a unique ability to feed on chakra for sustenance, something that the togakawa clan's founder took upon themselves to research. Befriending the young serpent she took it back to the land of Rice where she continued to feed and raise the creature, all the whilst learning to replicate it's unique nature in others.

Passive Abilities:

Symbiotic Chakra Leach - Onyx’s Species Feeds on the chakra of living things and as such can Share or Absorb AP with/from her partner

Chakra Refiner: Onyx feeds on chakra and has been trained remove impurities from the chakra she absorbs leaving only the purest portions of chakra when she passes it along; When spending ap on a genjutsu the AP drain from said genjutsu lasts for one more post after it is removed or ends. The AP drain being at base power as per standard genjutsu rules. This effect applies to AP Recieved from onyx or spent by onyx directly

Telepathic Communication:Onyx can create a telepathic bond with their partner. This link allows them to share words, images, and sensations. This connection works up to 15 meters, extending to 35 meters with the sensory specialty if Onyx or the target partner know it. If both of them have it the range is increased to 50 meters.

Natural Chakra Feeder - Onyx’s species naturally feeds on chakra including the natural chakra around them; whilst she is not capable of generating nature stacks she is capable of absorbing some of the natural chakra around her in small amounts; as long as she remains immobile in a post she is able to regenerate 5ap by absorbing and processing this chakra. Onyx cannot move, cast or maintain techniques in a post where it regains this ap

Shared Chakra Presence - As long as it is in physical contact with it's master Onyx gains the same immunities to techniques and effects that its master might have, is included in beneficial effects such as protective barriers, evasion techniques and teleportation. This cannot be used offensively and any effects only persist as long as onyx is in contact with it's master

So, for the most part, the only things that need edits are some of the traits

First, Chakra Refiner. I'm personally fine with letting this trait allow the companion to use Gen Release on someone else, but I will ask that the half cost gets removed.

Telepathic Comm: decrease the range from 35 to 25, and it can only be 25 m if the companion has Sensory as a spec

Chakra Feeder: clarify that it's not just immobile, it's also completely doing nothing (as in attacking, using techs, etc; minor things like talking are obviously still allowed lol) that post to regen the AP

Good morning, young Togakawa. I will be your inspector for this application for your familiar.

-Symbiotic Chakra Leach reads to me more as a Jutsu than a actual passive for any familiar, clan associated or not. I will have to ask you to change this to reflect a passive animal trait for your familiar. In this case, from how the clan reads you will need to remove mention of unwilling individuals and their chakra absorption and transfers. If their is a bond between a shinobi and their companion nothing should be about to come between that bond. Especially when it is tied to their chakra in the purest of sense.

-Chakra Refiner also reads like a skill/Jutsu to me, not something that’s passive to an animal. You will need to revisit this slot and adjust your passive. Mainly because I can see this being a precedent that would allow cleansing one of Genjutsu, detrimental effects and such, which pretty much tosses away the need for Genjutsu release and techs like soul expulsion that protects the user from detrimental effects.

-Telepathic Communication is good; but you will need to remove mention of making bonds with others except the master of this familiar.

-Natural Chakra Feeder is also similar to a skill/Jutsu we have that allows those to take the natural chakra around them and instead of creating stacks it will be converted into AP and Vice versa. This will need to change.

-Shared Presence is the only one that does not need to be touched at all.

Please adjust your passives according to what notes I presented.

Symbiotic Chakra Leach - Removed Ability to drain unwilling targets; will re-create that function as a clan technique

Chakra Refiner - Ability was chosen as a replacement for the original effect since the mechanical effect had already been approved on a familiar Here; would you mind elaborating on what you mean about it setting a precedent to allow cleansing one of Genjutsu, detrimental effects and such, since i don't see the connection.

Telepathic Communication - Happy to change this since its really just here to pad out the passives, however for posterity's sake i've included a link to a familiar with the ability to form multiple bonds incase that is of concern (More limited than the version above)

Natural Chakra Feeder - I think you **might** be confusing flavour with mechanics here? I may be wrong ofc, but this after the changes requested by hiroki simply magnifies the passive ap recovery mechanic listed in the ruleshere
