Personality: He's thinking fast, always thinking two steps ahead – he would be too weak to fight otherwise; always pondering about how his powers should be used for good, how to avoid the bad guys; his toughts seem to be pointless at first glance, even the second time, but maybe – maybe – more often than not it gets clear how these thoughts are connected together, like a serpentine road that actually leads to the peak point of a mountain. Is he even capable of having friends with (t)his way of life? It is true that he rarely has a relationship that is conventional in any way, but when people are not trying to kill him for something he can't recall, he has a good talk with them.
Likes: Seeing sunsets and nature overall, and seeing sunsets in nature; he loves his swamp!
Dislikes: Predictable people; wasting time

History: His mother was the only one he could rely on for a very long time. The abscence of his father was one of the reasons that his possibilities in life were painfully narrow. His mother was a potioneer lady, she travelled to the village and nearby towns from time to time to sell her creations. Her son (the only one) escorted her and helped wherever he could. On these journeys, he met the everyday lives of the ninjas, because oftentimes ninjas were the customers of the potions, sometimes he even saw them in action. In his free time, he likes to go what Hideki calls "Swamp", which is a(n abandoned?) hideout. That's where he imitates the ninjna moves he sees sometimes. These things were what actually brought him to the path of ninjas. He learned by himself and what the forest taught him until he started attending school. The different herbs, which he learned about from his mother, also helped him progressing in the academy. He finished the academy at the age of 19, and became a fresh genin.

"Let me review the situation" – Hideki started his reply to Kage-sama after reading the letter silently. "These mad men kidnapped a dozen of young man from our village, regardless of family background, tied up God knows where, until we meet their demands. And all we have as a clue is this letter. Right?"

"Actually, there is a bit more to know. We are checking the forests and the caves already, . Not much time passed since the missing of these children, and we have tightened border control, so they have to be within the country. Our guess is that they are in one of the abandoned buildings. It has to be guarded by at least ten missing ninjas."

"What do they want?"

"Probably money. It's not a method the known crime organisations would use. They could be a group that fled their country recently."

Hideki was thinking for a moment. The sun before noon has stopped shining through the window for a while, leaving the full-of-paper room filtered in (dim?) brown.

"Give them the money. I'll give the money, if the budget is tight. It's nearly impossible to get past ten ninjas, and the stakes are too high. And I assume they have good sensory skills, if they managed to break in several houses without raising any alarm."

"It's not about the money. It would be a shame, if we let them do whatever they want. It would even be immoral not to repel immorality."

"Damn, he's right" – Hideki thought, but he felt he had to argue.

"Also, we have you, who is rumoured to make his stealthy shit do wonders" – the Kage continued.

"Even if I get inside, how do I rescue twelve children at the same time? If anyone makes an alarm, these bastards will kill them, we cannot risk it without a solid plan. I won't be enough alone."

"We're out of manpower. You will have to be extremely careful. Report me back, if you don't think you can manage it yourself. As soon as we could locate them, we can concentrate our power."

Agreed on that, the Kage gave Hideki a map with the locations of abandoned buildings and known hideouts. Hideki's swamp was also on the map. 'Great' – he thought.

So the long and mostly eventless search began. Still, he couldn't let his guard down, no one knows when would they send someone out of that building. Anyhow, he needed this time to cool his head down, and think about possibilities and plans while running in the forest from one empty building to another. The Kage started sending a letter to the randevous point specified by the blackmailers. Someone has to be there, so they can see, if they recieved a reply, he thought.

Hideki stopped. He heard someone, or something. He sensed the chakra. Since he was in the forest, it could be the other ninjas on the same mission. In that case, they're being irresponsible, he thought. He has been supressing his own chakra for a while. Maybe he would follow him, if that ninja's direction lead to a suspicous building. He checked it on the map, but it didn't lead to anywhere like that. They should have discussed earlier, who would he be working with, but it was an emergency. The Kage sent anyone on this mission as soon as they were available, which felt unusally rushed for Hideki, but it was understandable. Maybe he doesn't have to be that careful, he shouldn't waste his chakra after all, but things started to get faster, he didn't have much time to speculate on that.

The randevous point was on a plain terrain, so there were no chance of hiding. What Hideki could do, is that he placed a Mark Seal on a rock, so the messenger (whenever they become available) can carry the rock with the letter, so he would know when the messenger will arrive there. Meanwhile, Hideki could meet an ally ninja, and they could apply Mark Seal on each other. They agreed that if one of them finds the nest, they will contact again, or when the search in the forest is finished.
