Backstory: A Sinisterly tricky technique which zaled developed with his earthen jutsu arsenal, While many would say that the use of earth was with creating mud, or simply creating big defensive walls, zaled had a different approach to the techniques offered,very universally simple. by mingling a little of his space time know how this devilishly tricky jutsu.

borrowing the ideas of mishibasi spikes, and other small simple motion impeding methods such as spike pits, floors, and the likes. The technique made close quarters combat, approaching, or even leaving an area affect by zaled both a difficult and often painful ordeal.

As its pure design is control, it could become deadly often requiring opponents to improvise.

Appearance: Earth surrounding the user or an area covered in earthen spikes of various sizes covering a large area, to small area of choice. The spikes can take many shapes and sizes,to as small as 1 milimeter, to several inches in length/ width. These will also like many things such as an earth wall remain in the affected area as a permanent fixture, retaining a base sharp point. And can be applied to other earthen structures.

What it does:

Once the seals are complete the user can choose 1 out of 3 options in order to spawn earth spikes up to 7 centimeters in thickness, and length from the ground. Each post that this jutsu  is active the user can change between the way these spikes can spawn, around the user,  a new area, or a pre-existing area affected by the spikes. Non-pureblood charecters can only learn up to C rank in this jutsu. The user themself lacks immunity to this jutsu due to how it works requiring the user to be also careful.

The range of spawning flexibility comes from the users use of space-time and ninjutsu, opening many unique ways to apply and impact theway the jutsu spreads out.  formation range includes.

1. Area of effect surrounding either the user, or a single point within the effective range of control. This will not spawn within 10 meters of another living target but can be set to surround a target at a point surrounding them in a 10 meter circle. This  spreads both outward, and inward towards the center into a 1/5/10/15/20/25 meter diameter of alteenated spiky earth.

2. A cone with length, and width equal to the range of this jutsu.  if the jutsu possesses a greater speed then a target the  spikes could overtake the target, so long as the speed stat of this jutsu is greater then the speed of a target. These will still not initally spawn no further then 10 meters from a target.

3. A clustered mound of spikes up to 4 of these can be formed over a 2 post period.  Mounds can reach up to  5 cm in height, and 1/5/10/15/20/25 meters in Width. The mounds can be retracted within the earth and travel within the effective area while this jutsu is active. This retraction and popping up occurs at jutsu speed.

If earth is the user's first element At B rank of this jutsu the user can spawn the spikes from an additional point up to 15 meters from themselves, and at S rank the user can choose up to 2 additional points where the spikes will form up to 35 meters from themself. These origin points will be considered the starting point where the spikes will form

If another earth based technique/construct comes in contact  with the spikes, or are formed with the spikes in range.  The spikes will overtake the entirety of the construct, adding these spikes will make said construct capable of causing sharp gashes when physical contact is made.  This is only applicable while this jutsu is active. (applys the below effects)

When a target makes wearing any leg/foot based armor,  or physical contact wearing armor where the armor makes contact with the spikes. The spikes will dig into the armor and begin grinding down the armor. these spikes of earth while this is active the damage is unique as it will be extremely sharp  and grindy, continuously damaging any protective leg armor, or leg/ limb protection featured armor by the power stat of this jutsu with each motion, and reducing the armor HP by the same value.  Should the damage surpass the remaining HP on the armor, the spikes will then pierce breaching the armor therefore requiring repairs for saidxarmor  As for any flesh underneath this  will cause puncture wounds on the feet, legs, or any other part that makes contact. This will apply the DOT effect (see below in "grevious bleed").

The space-time energy mixed within this jutsu creates a lingering effect slowing  natural healing. Therefore any flesh that makes, or removes  from contact with the spikes will inflict a ghastly bleeding effect and will cause horrendous blood loss. This results in a 2 post DOT effect from the loss to the targets HP equal to this jutsu's base power stat of: 1,5,10,20,30,50,70. Further contact with the spikes will reapply the DOT effect at full base value while this jutsu is active.

The DOT can be stopped with a medical jutsu that closes wounds of equal or higher power stat then this jutsu. Otherwise the DOT is reduced by the power of said healing jutsu.


rooting hemorrhage:

Once this jutsu concludes the spikes will remain, retaining a sharp point, but will be unable to apply any of this jutsu's effects unless this jutsu is recast.
