Appearance

Her skin appears to be extremely fine, yet pale; an extremely light alabaster tone giving it a sun-depraved look. Long, flowing silver hair outstretches from her scalp going into two huge side ponytails, running down to what would be just below the small of her back. Accompanying each ponytail are two separate strands of a beaded, string like material used to actually bind the ponytails; white with red, heart shaped beads being placed down them. The two, seemingly glowing and radiant orbs for eyes placed within the small frame of her visage, almost at a first glance have an ominous ruby like tint to them. Upon a second one though, it would only come to reveal them only to be a dark magenta color, speckled with hints of a yellowish hue, giving it the crimson appearance as one initially sees. The rest of her facial features are very sleek, and rounded, no true definition to it. Physically, she appears to be petite in almost every sense of the word, except a few unnamed ones. Most of the time, she’s wearing a short, black, and lacey dress that’s adorned with red silk ribbons along the sleeves and low neckline of it. Typically, this will also be worn with black leather garters, black thigh high fishnets, and obsidian leather boots; also embellished with red ribbons where part of the lacing would be. Although she’s well above being middle aged, the overall look is rather youthful, seeming to be no older than 24.

Personality

Around her brother, Kazumi basically acts like any ordinary, ditzy, school girl. Typically always flirtatious with anyone she comes across, the silver haired enchantress can woo and sway pretty much anyone if she so wanted. There was a certain eloquence and charm about her, that appeared natural. Very bubbly, and would most likely talk your ear off faster than saying yes for a makeout session. However, don’t let all this friendliness completely win you over. She still did enjoy causing a bit of mischief and subtle chaos. Remaining passive for almost 100 years had started to loose it's taste, and as each day tarries, a hunger inside her grows.

This same desire and passion, the longing and insatiable appetite for power and control; an immense and passionate drive to gain these things is much more clear when she’s away from her twin or only in dire needs when together. In these moments, there’s almost a complete 180 degree flip to the Kyuketsuki’s personality, to where her aura grows slightly more cold. Assertive. Domineering. The previous is more likely to casually go along with plans, whereas this side of her is calling the shots 11 times out of 10. Going from passive aggressive, to full on aggressive.

History

Let’s take it from the very beginning shall we?

Kazumi Kyuketsuki was one of the first and few born as the second generation of the clan that would ultimately be blessed by Jashin. On this same fateful night of her birth, most of the clan would be decimated following this moment, up until the matriarch’s untimely demise to save the rest of them. Unlikely enough, to add to things, the girl was born with a defect which took place within her eyes, being cursed with a bane of blindness. However, despite all this, lost hope as one might put it, the small babe wasn’t alone even after the death of her parent’s. Another child, a twin, was birthed on that same very day, to the same mother and father. A brother.

The two would start their life together, orphaned, in a world that could be brutal towards people like them most of the time, tucked away within the village Hidden in the Mists. Although their lineage kept secret, that wasn’t what was at question here. There remained the general dislike for wartime youths; labeled as miscreants, outcasts, and pickpockets typically, because what else could they do? Had the world been warmer to them and offered nothing but smiles and happiness, the general sense of hope, all one could do most of the time was to beg. Especially being so young, it wasn’t like either of them could actually work. Both Kazumi and her brother weren’t lucky enough to be blessed with getting to stay in an actual orphanage. Oftentimes, they had to live on the streets themselves or in the worst case scenarios, squat in abandoned buildings.

On occasion, the Sanguine Prince and Blood Princess would meet and form a little troop with some of the other urchins who had nowhere else to go. Typically they would all work together like a pack of wolves, compiling all their money or various scraps come night fall and stockpile on food. Even if on some nights it meant having to dig through the trash to find discarded leftovers from someone else who was fortunate enough to go without them. It was what they had to do simply just to survive sometimes. The condition which happened at birth didn’t really help with the matter. In some cases, the best it would do was gain a few extra ryo out of pity for such a helpless innocent life. But, there was no other way to know when people would give there stares of disdain or disgust, so she had nothing really to base it off of at the end of the day.

With this in mind, in these early years, the Kyuketsuki offspring had grown to be quite reliant upon her brothers and the partial kindness of those around her, whether it be genuine or out of pure pity. It was all the same really. However, the storm would just begin to spring, an ensnaring trap set to be sprung. Over the course of 10 or so years, they’d face many hardships. Brutal storms, to the points of hurricanes and floods. The runoffs of both natural disasters and war alike. Fate had seemed to deem every mundane thing, so difficult. They weren’t given any specific guidelines on how to go about things, for they had no parents nor guardians besides each other. Hell, they didn’t even know the innate power that they had surging through their very blood. Hope was almost lost.

At her worst, she can remember a certain, very specific day in her point of life. The maturing of a fledgling into a full born vampire. The first feed. It was on the night of her 13th birthday. Sun had just proceeded to set, and it was just the silvery twins on this cool, autumnal night. Kazumi’s brother had went to get the two food, leaving her alone for but a moment on the street. However, a vagrant from a nearby alley would come out and try to snatch her. Assaulting her all over the fact that she was plain and simply defenseless. Or so, they both would think in that very moment.

But thinking, was the exact opposite of what had occurred afterwards.

After being dragged off the empty street, and into the dark recesses of the side road, all the lone wolf could do was feel afraid. A deep, primal emotion would begin to roil out from within her. A somewhat familiar kind of connection, but she knew she hasn’t experienced anything quite like it before. Beneath the fear and anger and sorrow in this moment lay only one thing on what to do; pure, instinct. Letting the beast kick in, the 13 year old would go into a ravenous frenzy on the thirst for blood, completely black out during this time frame. The next thing she knew, when the veil had been lifted above the eyes in a figurative and metaphorical sense, she was looking back up and towards the street at her twin brother. She…she could actually see again!? But…the other one was staring back down at her…and the corpse of the thug who tried attacking her…one of them was nothing more than a mere husk which had looked drained of any semblance of life which it once knew. What wasn’t on the ground in a puddle, was being digested by the princess of all that is crimson or covering both hands and most of what she wore. It was truly a gruesome sight to behold.

With her sight restored, she saw what happened as a blessing of sorts. In a time when all hope had truly been lost for a minute, a flame that had been left stagnant finally begun to fan into a blazing brazen bonfire, bombastically burning brilliantly bright beams. There would be an upswing within their monumental moment of mourning what once was, and what would be to come. After her brother’s first turn, the two would delve deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole that was learning about their clan’s lineage. Learning of what happened, and the decimation of most of their clan, Kazumi saw it as one of her tasks, being in the second of their line, to repopulate this population. Thus bringing her into the whirlwind that came with; empathy, yet remorseless for those who’d spurn them. Delighted chaos brimming with precise, calculated strikes to figure out the secrets to this bloodline and how to go about using it.

Only two or three years after this transcendence above the mundane ideology of mortality and being human, both brother and sister would use their newfound knowledge and powers to their advantage. They’d start using their daytime hobby, begging, as a way to moonlight for who their marks would be when they’d go on a hunt. They’d pick unsuspecting people, citizens who seemed like they wouldn’t put up much of a fight if attacked. Or the ones who simply wouldn’t pay them any actual mind during the daytime hours. Or the ones who were hurtful to them, the two weren’t super selective on choices come to think of it, but regardless. Then, once their prey would be successfully hunted down, they’d feed and take any of the dead person’s belongings. The corpses didn’t have much use in Ryo or valuables which could be sold after all. And with this, they were able to dig themselves out of poverity, after all those lonesome years.

For the next ten years after that, all would be rather peaceful. Her and her brother got along splendidly, only bonding more and more as each day had begun to pass. But even still, that didn’t mean tensions weren’t guaranteed to be quelled permanently between them. Sometime in their late 20s, Kazumi grew tired and jealous of all the love her brother was receiving. Particular from the woman in which he called his lover. Growing the color in which she had a deep seeded hatred for, often associated with the dreaded thing called envy, the kunoichi would soon let all of this get in the way of her health. Spending less and less time together, had caused her to stop consuming the red liquid like she should have been. So one night, when the three of them were together, and it had been almost the 10 day period in which one would need to feast, Kazumi would start to gain a panging in her stomach. Longing for any kind of food, she’d have her brother go to grab some for the trio. But, that same rage from the first time her true nature emerged came flowing forth once more. This time, backed by doubt, anxiety, being unwanted, and jealousy. She was in such a state of shock that she didn’t realize until after she had done the deed of murdering her own brother’s girlfriend, while washing the blood off of her body.

In the moment, she couldn’t really speak on how her brother had felt. Only that it would come back to haunt the girl later in life when he’d enact a similar revenge against one of her previous lover’s. But still, through and through, the two would remain thick as thieves. Although both would have their moments of weakness, there was still an unprecedented amount of love and compassion shown towards each other because at the end of the day, they would only have each other. Everyone else around them would grow old and eventually just pass on naturally, whereas they simply wouldn’t.
