Another life saved. A small sigh escaped his lips as he moved to go back to his chair, his eyes scanning the horizon but a familiar voice snapped him to attention. Looking down at Gonk, he would listen for a moment before chuckling and jumping out of the chair," You had me at fighting. Let's go," he wouldn't even hesitate at the notion of fighting pirates. His last encounter with the brigands had definitely been while he had been sailing with his troupe to head to the land of milk and honey. While pirates are notorious for trying to hijack seemingly helpless boats, they found that his was far from it. Niento followed beside Gonk mostly in silence as he contemplated on what to do. A smile developed onto his face as he stopped at the dock and bit his finger, slapping his hand onto the ground and summoning one of his companions. From the smoke a monkey would flip out and land on his right shoulder, peering into his surroundings," Wabisuke repor- Oh its you chain smoker what do you want?," the monkey would ask aggressively as he looked down to Niento. Pointing to the boat in the distance he would smile and offer a thumbs up to the small monkey," Want to pound some pirates? I know you like fighting so...mini vacation and beat down," to which the monkey would jib slap Niento along the back of his hand and pound his chest proudly. That seemed like a yes to him. At the current moment he would listen to the plan set by Gonk while looking back at Wabisuke," Gather some Nature Energy while we sail there. I want to have as much fun as possible," the monkey, while reluctant would begin to channel the strange energy through Niento for the moment. A distraction was what they needed when they got to the boat, so a distraction would be what they would get.

Roy didn't think much of the object approaching the beach at first. There were no people that appeared to be in dangers in his section of the beach so instead of making a big fuss he grabbed the flags that he and the others had been given and waved them around half-heartedly to get the attention of one of the other lifeguards. Once they came to check on him he would point out the strange boat and have them look into whatever weird thing may be going on. But nobody ever came to check. Are these flags just a big lie to make us feel like we don't have to do everything ourselves or something?

As Roy stood up on the top rung of the chair's ladder he made out the symbol on the flag of the ship. Is this a prank? Is that really a ship full of pirates? The events that took place next all but confirmed his suspicions he had been wrestling with since being enlisted for this whole endeavor. All the lifeguards took off from their posts abducting people as they went until there were all settled on a boat that was heading out to the pirate ship. The subsequent ransom demand was the perfect absurd icing to go on this cake of ridiculousness. 

They likely knew we were shinobi from the get go. Why would they purposefully put their plan at risk by bringing us here? "Well if they think anyone is intending on actually paying them a ransom they will be devastated." Glancing back down the beach, Roy could see his fellow enlistees gathering together with a measure of urgency. They were most likely preparing for a rescue or attack of some sort against the pirates and as lazy as he tried to be he wasn't going to let them have all the fun themselves. As he approached he caught ear of the shark laying out a plan for confronting the pirates. It was a sound enough plan and it wasn't as if Roy could argue with the person with the boat.

Each person in their makeshift party appeared to be preparing for the confrontation in their own ways. The smoker took a moment to summon a monkey companion. It wasn't the summoning itself that stood out to Roy but instead the familiarity with which the two chatted with each other. He wasn't expecting to get such a battle-tested vibe from the man considering how buddy buddy he was with the shark boy. Perhaps there is a lot more to this group than I originally thought. Then there was the upbeat member of the group. He offered up his services to perform the infiltration and secure the hostages while the rest of the group provided a distraction. He's probably either a fool or scared to fight. Roy was less impressed by him, but once their boat started moving towards the pirate ship the man started performing handseals and disappeared from his sight almost completely. There was something where he had once stood, but if Roy hadn't watched it happen in front of him he would likely not even know there was a person there. Hmph, well I certainly wasn't expecting anything like that. Maybe I'm actually the fool here.

With the group as prepared and confident as they were, Roy felt it might be best for him to embrace his laziness a bit and just follow the lead of the others for this assault. He would serve as the utility piece of the group and step in where they needed. There had been no more announcements since they had departed from the shore towards the ship, but with their arrival being imminent anything could happen next.

Kota was waiting. It was going to take maximum effort and most of his concentration to get the mission done. He was a mixture of excitement and fear. The hunt was about to begin. This time he could not allow the prey to escape. Various lives depended on it. His tools were in his belt and strapped on.

The ship did not have to get too close. Kota channeled the chakra to his feet as if he was going to surface walk and got to work. He quickly moved to the edge of the ship as silently as he could. The sound of the waves should have been enough to cover his steps. A few of the wooden boards creaked but he could not do anything about that. He got on the edge and stepped over it. His feet stuck to the side of the ship, keeping him from falling into the sea. When he was ready he made a leap.

Kota sailed through the air over a group of pirates that made their way to the side of their ship. His combined use of the lightness skill as well hiding in camouflage was superb. A ten meters height in less than four meters distance to jump. Kota was impressed with himself. He continued to use the lightness skill to have him fall gently on the other side of the pirate forces. The jutsu were not the best when closer to the opponents. Hence, he started to move earlier.

Making his way over to the hostages he felt tension in the air. They were armed and ready to gut the poor beach goers at the slightest hint of tension. Kota could feel like he could not get closer without drawing attention. He took out a smoke bomb and start to catalyze it. It was a shame he had to waste one. He waited till the opportunity presented itself. When the boat docked was when he took his chance.

Kota yeeted the smoke bomb at the group of hostages. The smoke started to cover the place and Kota started throwing his shuriken. His vision was unclouded by the smoke bomb and he was able to see the pirates in question. One shuriken each took down a pirate with a puncture to the windpipe. They fell dropping their weapons to the floors.

“Hostages are secured! All on the rest of you.” Kota would speak from the cloud covering himself and the hostages. He took out a Kunai for good measure but was ready to slice and dice if needed.

The rest of the fighting went well. Kota was impressed by the fighting prowess the others displayed. Even sharkboy looked more well versed in battle than the archer gave him credit for. It was undeniable that the trio had various levels of ninjutsu experience. It was a shame that Kota was in such awe that he could not even recall how it was done. It was too much pure awesomeness concentrated into his eye sockets.

Kota would not have minded picking up some pointers from others. It was a shame his stomach started to rumble. He did not want to pass gas in front of his new ninja pals so he had to go for a swift exit. “It was a pleasure meeting you all. I have to go. If you ever drop by Sunagakure feel free to look me up Kota Apollon. Two L's. I’ll show you around.” The walking ray of sunshine was friendly enough. He was an excellent example of a newborn calf not fearing a tiger. He was treating the others as shinobi close to his age and experience. The fool was unaware that he could have been knocked unconscious by Gonks status alone if the man was a dick.

Not wanting to stay around longer. He grabbed his portion of spoils and hopped on top of the waves. He was simply running back at full speed. The siren sounds of the porcelain throne growing stronger as he ran. He figured the rest of them could handle the hostages. He already saved them and really needed to go.

He had waited patiently beside his Kage for some time, meditating with his monkey companion who had truthfully only been here to crack some heads open. Gonk had not given the all clear to act and the pirates were getting closer and closer. Whatever the other kid had been doing needed to be done with haste so that they could save the hostages and book it, with style of course. Finally the pirate ship had been upon them and as he sat silently, he could hear his partner behind him speak to Gonk," So when are we going to bash some heads in? This little boy here told me we were going to fight ya know?," breaking his concentration he would look back to the monkey and put a finger to his lips. Patience in all good things my friend. The exchange between Gonk and the Pirate leader when as well as one could expect from a pirate, but something had been bugging him. Where the hell had the guy been with the hostages. Sighing he would stand up, specifically to the right of Gonk as he watched the plank slowly lower toward their boat, he heard the call from Kota. Turning his head toward Gonk a smile would form on his face," Time to play my favorite game...let's see who can take out more Pirates!," as if on cue the nature chakra that he had been storing within his body would erupt as he took on key physical traits of the Sarutobi Monkey's and jumped ship. Looking at a group of the pirates he would see them with their swords and weapons and smirked. Someone should have told them that he was not unarmed. From behind his back, he would grab the monkey who would have been holding a pair of Kunai and chucked the monkey at them catching them off guard in the act. The monkey would go to work on the group while Niento unsheathed his katana and began to work his magic.

On his end he would take his time, perfecting a symphony of steel and blood as he danced above deck, making sure each pirate that he came across would find that they would rue the day that they would cross him and his Kage. Whatever Gonk had planned for the actual leader was none of his business, but the grunt were unfortunate. Between the two, Niento and his monkey companion would continue their dance as the Kiri Jounin would journey below deck to find and eliminate any other stragglers and to ensure that the hostages were all secured. Above deck his partner would wait for the others to finish their culling, and once Niento came back up with a bottle of rum he would smile and pop the cork to drink it," Well no pirates downstairs...just a bunch of rum and dead bodies. Looks like we are clear. Did you guys enjoy yourself?," he'd ask as he finished drinking the bottle. Man still had the tolerance of the Gods apparently. The monkey he had summoned was covered head to tail in blood but at least he had fun. Giving Niento a two finger salute, he would disappear into the ether to return back to the Mountains. Shrugging he would walk over to Gonk.

Seeing as one of them had been leaving, he would nudge Gonk and pull out another bottle of Rum," Looks like someone wants you to come visit them- oh yeah this is for you. Just a few spoils of war as it were," the Jounin would laugh as he pulled out one more and began to drink it, hopefully beside his kage.

With the infiltration and rescue finished successfully and the shark kid and monkey man handling the fighting on the ship there didn't appear to be much need for Roy's assistance anymore. He would quietly slip away from the ship and make his way back to the beach, happy in the fact that he would be able to get back to lazing about sooner than expected.
