Name: Shark Scales
Appearance: Shark skin is covered by tiny flat V-shaped scales, called dermal denticles, that are more like teeth than fish scales. These denticles decrease drag and turbulence, allowing the shark to swim faster and more quietly.


Backstory: Thanks to millions of years of evolution, sharks have developed many characteristics that aid them in their watery habitats. One of these evolutionary changes is scales, which cover the entirety of a shark's body and protect them from many things such as scratches from coral reefs, ocean litter, and even other marine life. Due to the lightweight and malleable characteristics of these scales, many armor and weapon crafters seek them out to enhance their creations.

As this is an event-exclusive augmentation material, it can only be acquired by completing the event-exclusive mission "Jaws".

Description: The most obvious function is that these thick, hard scales are used to protect a shark's skin. Sharks can encounter things in the ocean that can scrape them like coral reefs, rocky areas, and marine litter like leftover fishing gear. These tooth-like scales ensure that it's not easy to scratch a shark.

Any weapon, armor, or puppet infused with this item receives +20 to their durability (Increased Durability). Alternatively, any weapon, armor, or puppet augmented with this item will glow red whenever it is within 15m of a bleeding target, as well as ignore 20 Power/Health of a target (Bloodhunt).
