Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin

Sun May 29, 2022 1:41 pm
Sunagakure Chunin Exam, Round 2
Arena Description

For those spectating in the provided seats placed in a semi circle around the arena - which appears as a large circle, 100 meter radius from the center and stamped with a bronze seal of the Sunagakure ‘Impossible Triangle’ symbol. Surrounding the circle is a 10 meter trench of water being fed through several wall mounted spouts, the water trench meets at one end to form a 30 meter wide expanse of water. On the arena itself are several archways, pathways, statues, trees and shrubbery. All spectators are unseen by the participants and instead of arranged seating there is simply grey misty ‘nothing’.

This is all an illusion, for those spectating it is akin to watching a 3D movie - nothing is real so all spectators are free from danger of stray jutsu or flying debris.
Jupiter Yamanaka vs Karo Yogan vs Kin Akiyama
Basic Rules

  • 1. Go all out, and do not hold back. This is the simulation arena, so your character does not risk death. But you do risk failure.

  • 2.A fight ends when two out of three fighters are incapacitated, knocked unconscious, surrenders, is forced out of the ring, or dies in the simulation.

  • 3.Fights will spawn in at the center of the ring, and are expected to perform the seal of confrontation out of respect to another. Following this, they must each retreat 25 meters opposite of each other and towards the inside boundaries of the trench. This places each fighter 50 meters apart, and once both are this far apart an audible *ding* will ring throughout the arena indicative of the start of the match.

  • 4.To keep power scaling normalized, each fighter will be bound to the limitations of a D ranked character as described in the Dual Rank System.

  • 5.At the beginning of the first post from each fighter, they must post a stat page in a spoiler and decide on their jutsu as limited in the rule above. Once posted, they are unable to use any jutsu that they didn't register in their first post. The fighters may use any and all equipment that they have on their stat page. This includes consumables, but considering the nature of the Simulation Battle Arena, the items are not consumed in real life.

  • 6.To maintain the flow of combat, each combatant is expected to post within 72 hours of the previous post. After this time window, combatants may request additional time yet depending on the situation, requests may be denied. If denied, or failure to request additional time after the 72 hour period is up, the opposing combatant may "hour" their opponent and assume that the combatant failed to perform an action.

  • 7.If clarifications are required, please reach out to your fellow genin first about their post. Let's try to avoid calling in BM's and the sort on something like this.

  • 8.Separate observation threads may be made, where spectators are a part of the crowd surrounding the arena. They may have no interaction with the combatants.

Side Note Let's try to keep this a clean and fun fight. I understand a 3 man all for himself isn't always ideal, but this is the cards we are dealt with. If at any point the proctor determines things have gotten out of hand or to messy, the proctor can decide to end the simulation and all participants fail.

And now it's time

Suika sighed as she entered the building; although she had originally been excited to see the Chuunin Exams, she found herself wanting to be at home with her own children, rather than dealing with children preparing for success or failure. The entire reason she agreed to proctoring the exam for the three… She glanced down looking at the paper that the Lord Third had given her that morning during breakfast; Jupiter Yamanaka, Karo Yogan and Kin Akiyama; was because of her new formed relationship with him. After giving birth to not only one but two of Lord Guren’s children and proceeding to spend ten entire years with him raising said children was something that had changed the once young white-haired woman. Now at the vibrant age of 28 years old; although it hadn’t changed her looks by a single day – the woman felt older… More experienced, children and her… Well, Guren and her hadn’t quite figured that one out yet. It was something the pair still needed to work on at the very least. For now, Suika needed to stay focused on the exam and the battle she was about to have to witness.

She knew that Guren had posted the listing for the Genin for them to know when to show up to their exam, and she was already approximately 30 minutes earlier than the set time. She enjoyed being early and setting things up. And thus she did, as she entered the room, she placed the chairs in order, as well as the headsets for each of them. Each chair was placed around ten feet from the other, to ensure that no one would get swung at. She smirked as she turned to her own desk, and sat her things down, the paper including the instructions, as well as their names… She figured that if they impressed her in anyway; she would end up remembering them. But for now, she didn’t care.

As the woman sat down, she quickly prepared her pens and a pad of paper for notes, as she would have to bare witness to this fight and make sure things were done properly. With a small smirk on her face, Suika would wrap her hair up, and tie a small black elastic around it, making a ‘messy bun’. The woman was slender and short, her body filled out quite nicely with giving birth, all of her clothes seemed to fight just a little tighter, similar to today, she wore a simple black dress, low cut and short, long black boots and a single necklace with a crystal snowflake on it that dangled.

As the Genin would enter the room one at a time, Suika would turn her attention the three boys, her icy blue eyes staring at each of them with a nearly blank expression on her face. Suika would begin this act without emotion, monotoned and unnerving. This is what she had been built for. “There are three chairs, each in it’s own corner. You may choose which to sit, I do not care for seating arrangements. Please do so promptly.

Suika would give them a few moments to grab a seat before she would continue to speak, “Equip the headset assigned to that chair and we will promptly begin. Please go all out and refrain from holding back. Your future as a Sunagakure Shinobi could be decided from this battle. I understand your exam is different from others, there are three of you, whereas there would normally be only two. But we have had an uneven amount of Genin this year, and you happen to be the lucky three with me.” She smirked, “Do your best, try not to make a mess of things, if you do, I will end the simulation and fail all three of you.” She paused, “Also keep in mind, every note I take, will find it’s way back to The Third.

Once the three had their headsets on, Suika would click around a few buttons, and turn a few knobs before clicking “Start”. Sending the three Genin into the battle stimulation arena.

The monitor would display several camera angles, allowing the Pureblood Yuki to spectate the fight completely. She would document her notes and grading throughout the fight thoroughly and without mercy. If these Genin wanted to become Chuunin of Sunagakure, she expected the very best.

From that moment on, it would be up to the three Genin to show what they were made of. “Good luck and don’t forget to at least have fun.” And with that, the battle could commence.

Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Re: Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin

Tue May 31, 2022 3:39 pm
Stats:

Only a few days after the written portion of the chunin, the next round was called for. Instead of testing the mentality and their overall knowledge, this portion would be for physical prowess, a way to gauge their skills in actual combat. Luckily for all those involved, the place that this was all taking place at was the series of advanced simulation arenas obtained by the village of Sunagakure; meaning that there would be no death involved. This helped to at least cull the doubts of battling by Kin. What once was there, the fear of having to actually fight to the death, was now heavily alleviated. Even if this wasn’t set up in a way to do so, the Akiyama heir would have still tried fighting until his last breath would be exhaled.

Arriving at the room where his designated battle would be taking place, the golden nobleborn would stride into the room without giving any look that would appear to be taken in a way that there was a lack of confidence. The only expression was a passive one, but still filled with to the brim with nothing but determination. If he could convince himself that there was a chance, no matter how slim that chance may be, then there was a way for victory to be achieved. That’s all one needed after all. All in all though, the fact of a potential loss still wasn’t completely stricken from the record. There was still a chance of loss, but if that happened, there would be no hard feelings within the genin.

As things would currently seem, Kin was the first participant to reach the destination, the only other person within the room being their specific proctor. A kunoichi, a bit older than himself. She was wearing a snowflake on upon a necklace, icy blue eyes that gave a rather cold stare to match that of the symbol. A nod would be given to her once the braided man would enter into the room, and he’d take the seat farthest away from the door. Once two more Suna genin, presumably the ones who would be Kin’s battle partners would enter the room, he’d hear the lady speak up and announce that they were about to begin so the headsets needed to go on. Doing such, the young adult would politely incline with this, placing the fancy headgear around his skull. Within moments, things would change, and they would be “transported” to the arena.

The staging before them so far was rather intricate…each participant would end up in between two trees, one on their immediate left and one on their immediate right; a gap of 2 meters stood between the trees. All 6, stood in a triangle formation, at the center of which was a sandstone statue dedicated to the third kazekage, Guren. Looking around, practically every inch of the landscape was covered with something that could be potentially utilized to the advantages of those involved, if they were smart enough to concoct ways to use them. Several clusters of trees offered an ample amount of cover, other statues for the same thing also were placed here and there. That was just a small amount of what was to be seen, the list continued onward and onward.

Once everyone was there and things looked to be about ready, Kin would speak up ”Alrighty boys, let’s get this started.” He’d then form the seal of confrontation, before walking 25 meters back and away from the two others, waiting for them to follow suit.

Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Re: Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin

Tue May 31, 2022 10:50 pm
Stat Page:

This was what Karo had been prepping for these past few days, but what he found instead was something rather strange to begin with. As it had not been what he had expected it to be, instead of going towards a more lively place. Karo had been informed that he’d be going to a special sort of area and they’d be using a more virtual kind of fighting. That way at least the competitors couldn’t hurt themselves while fighting. That was at least a decent plan that Karo agreed to, relieving some stress from off of his back as a result of the newest information being received right before he was off running towards where he was indeed supposed to be heading.

It had been awhile since he actually fought someone in combat before, actually it’d be his first time stepping into full on ninja combat. Yet he couldn’t really overcome this sense of nervousness he felt when entering the simulation battle arena. He was running there just on time, seeing at least one of the other contestants there walking through the doors already. His own body dashing along crowds of people stationed there like obstacles in his way to be there on time. Lest he make himself look bad in front of the proctors. Luckily for him as he stepped into the room only moments after Kin Akiyama, Karo was indeed on time with a few minutes to spare. Yet upon immediate inspection on the Proctor. He could tell there was certainly not going to be any idle chit chat. Those icy blue eyes could probably stab straight through his dome if given the chance. So he remained stalwart in looking stone faced. Giving a small nod towards the proctor right before she began to explain exactly what was going to happen for each of them.

The spread out chairs were some of the first things that Karo noticed within the brightly lit room that the three of them were standing in. Yet Karo could tell that things were precisely there for a reason. Separated by about ten feet were the chairs they would most likely be using, Karo liking the way they looked inside of the room. Yet he had to focus now on the explanation that the Yuki was about to give them. Karo listened intently while focusing on what his own plans were, hearing about how they didn’t have to hold back was certainly something he’d kept in mind. Besides, there certainly was at least something he could use in order to end up turning the tides if needed. But when the Yuki finally finished the explanations and also that the Kazekage would get all of the information from here. It made Karo only give a slight nod, knowing that it was most likely to be the case as well.

As the simulation finally was shown towards the three of them. The intricate details that graced the three boys were easily noticed by those who’d pay attention. Karo noted that the arena was about 100 hundreds meters all together. Which gave him the perfect amount of range to fire towards the three if possible. The ten meter trench of water was something he’d have to avoid though. Lest he end up a victim of it somehow and get trapped underneath. He certainly wasn’t a very good swimmer. The pathways and shrubbery could also make for decent ways of making Smokescreens if possible. Since he had no info on both of his opponents. He couldn’t go too gungho about this whole thing.

Once everything seemed to be ready to go, Karo could only chuckle at Kin’s willingness to begin. He could tell that he potentially could be a danger. But Karo didn’t know for certain, So he’d just wait and see while moving back twenty five meters. His hand immediately signed the seal of confrontation. Signaling that he was ready to begin.

Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Re: Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin

Wed Jun 01, 2022 4:18 pm
Jupiter's Stats:
The last enemy to be destroyed is death. Jupiter thought to himself as he secured his ninja headband on his forehead, touching the logo on the metal to make sure that the Sunagakure emblem was facing the right way up as he made his way into the building. He had been calling this village 'home' for only a few short while, having arrived as a refugee in search of a mentor and air conditioning. After cruising through the first stage of the Chuunin Exams - he had pulled an all nighter the night before to prepare - the Yamanaka descendant had just returned from training in the desert. Although he wore a bland expression on his tanned face, the voice in his head was jostling and restless. Training by himself could only ever get him so far. He did not remember the last time that he had the privilege of challenging another shinobi in battle. When he found out that the battle was to take place in a special arena where the participants were expected to go all out and would not suffer any permanent injuries even in the event that they were to die in the ring, Jupiter was ecstatic. The only idea that he lusted for more than spilling blood, was dying himself.

Of the three Genin to fight in combat, Jupiter was the last to arrive. As the other two Genin took their respective seats on the chairs closest to them, he would glance at the two others and then slightly nod at the proctor before taking the last available seat in the bright white room. As the proctor laid out the instructions, Jupiter would pause and stare at her blue eyes for a second. Just like Saturn's. He thought to himself and his bland expression would turn more vivid as he daydreamed about his little brother but only for a moment. Always one to be curious, he picked up and peered to inspect the headset on his chair, but his attempt to decipher anything meaningful about its inner workings was futile. He glanced at the other two again and thought they they both looked quite formidable - perhaps he came back from the desert too soon. Now I'm twice as likely to die today. He licked his lips and cracked a slight smirk. He could still taste the red wine on his lips from the rounds he had already indulged in today. Pinning his long flowing dark brown hair behind his ear, he put the headsets on as he absorbed the last of the instructions given to the three.

To Jupiter, the experience of being 'beamed up' into the simulation was a thrill. During the transition, the white bright room around him seemed to shimmer with every color in the rainbow, and flicker at impossible intervals. He heard strange sounds that he had never heard before. Upon 'opening' his eyes again, Jupiter found himself standing with his fellow Genin and opponents for today in the center of the ring. Still in awe of what he had just witnessed, his eyes darted around taking in the view of the arena. Between the archways, pathways and statues,  the thought that went into creating something like this seemed impossibly delicate. That's The Third, huh.. He must be strong. I think I've heard that he's met Jashin too. Jupiter narrated in his head as he noticed the statue of the Kazekage. When Kin formed the seal of confrontation, Jupiter was at first slightly startled - his muscles tensed ever so slightly and his pupils dilated getting ready to fight. He wasn't very familiar with many of the customs and traditions in the village. He relaxed when he recognized that it was not in fact a hand seal for a technique. When Kin spoke, Jupiter waited for him to finish and looked at both his opponents, a warm smile on his clear bronzed face. "The last enemy to be destroyed is death." He preached, having rehearsed, evidently from the pace of his speech.

The tall, muscular shinobi turned around and walked slowly to his corner of the triangle, counting his steps till he reached a point 50 meters away from both of his peers. He turned around once again to face them. Looking around once more to scan his environment, he gauged the size of the ring to be about 200 meters in diameter. He had no knowledge about the abilities of either of his opponents and assumed that they would not know his own abilities either. When it came to combat, Jupiter was always one to be cautious. Especially without any knowledge about his opponents, coupled with his self awareness and honesty towards himself, he was strongly biased to believe that he was most likely the weakest of the three. Regardless, he knew his strengths and was already scheming - scheming to scheme based on the moves of his opponents. As he saw Karo sign the seal of confrontation as well, he recognized the pattern. Like this..? He wondered in his head as he stuck his fingers up - his middle and index finger glued together. He was ready to move, and he wondered if the distance between himself and the other two was safe.

Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Re: Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin

Thu Jun 02, 2022 5:07 pm
Everything was set. Looking to his left and right, the two other shinobi who would be competing in this round of the exams had both backed up the necessary length and formed the seal of confrontation. Meaning that they were all off to the races! The best one of them would remain victorious.

With confidence being key, there wasn’t a shadow of a doubt that this fight was winnable. As it stood right now, at least in Kin’s eyes, everyone in the trio was on an equal playing field. Since nothing was known about the two, the Akiyama genin would assume that they couldn’t be too much stronger than he was, but underestimation wouldn’t happen. He wouldn’t want them to discredit himself out, so he would politely give the others that same respect back. Also, come to think of it really, how far in depth was the actual success within this trial being looked at? Was it by a significant margin? Or was it only by a smaller one, which could be easily gained with the final portion? All hypotheticals which started bubbling around within the second that they were ready to start. Either way, the path was clear and the goal was simple. Try hard no matter what happens.

Kin would seemingly start off combat, being the first one to make a move. His left hand would reach down towards one of the packs around his thighs, grabbing hold of a smoke bomb and a lighter from in there. He’d gently toss up the grenade filled with gas to his right, catching it. In that same motion, the lighter would flick open and be moved towards the fuse. Once lit, it would fall to the ground with the smoke being produced forth from it a dome like shape, bubbling 6 meters from one end to the other. It was a defensive maneuver. Rushing in to attack this early could go one of two ways. The first being practically suicide based on a rash decision.  Not much intel about what the other nin could do was known, so he wanted to take a step back first to see their capabilities from a distance. Then on the other hand, there was the fact that just generally Kin took an accustom to fighting at a distance. Being so up close and personal just didn’t really jive well with him; his clothes could get dirty, his hair could get messed up, things would just look like an atrocity. So sitting back and not having a sweat was more his style.

From inside the smoke cloud, with his chakra suppressed, 7 invisible chakra threads would spindle out from the tips of his fingers. 4 from the right hand, 3 from the left. They would be invisible to the naked eye, but chakra sensory or the likes would make them seen by whoever was doing such. These strings then would snake around to two of the wrapped puppets on his back, pulling them forth from their passive states. He’d draw out his combo called the Lost Duo; one puppet being The Widow, one being The Lover. From there, Kin, with a flick of the fingers, would then move each puppet 2 meters in front of him, spaced 4 meters apart so that way they were still within the cloud of smoke. Activating the one Lover’s mechanisms, a door would open from it’s back silently, then the nin would proceed to enter it’s hollow torso so when the smoke would clear they wouldn’t be able to know where he was. There, he would just lie in wait for now.

Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Re: Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin

Fri Jun 03, 2022 5:19 pm
Karo stood there patiently, awaiting what his other colleges would do now that the actual battle had begun. Everyone was 25 meters apart from each other already. Which was indeed perfect for what he was planning for if the situation called for it. He just needed someone to eventually move for the fun to actually start. As he expected the others within this competition to be just as strong as he was. He couldn’t hold back against anyone else here, especially while it seemed that they would all be graded by their exact responses towards everyone else within this small round of combat. Karo however saw that Kin had just activated a smoke bomb. Which allowed Karo to cast a jutsu, since even though some would be able to see through the smoke. It would be hard to tell what the others are doing just by hiding directly inside of the smoke itself.

Starting off being the second to enter his own combat phase against the two others. Immediately he’d weave the hand seals Snake->Ox->Ram->Dragon->Tiger in quick succession. It was definitely a mistake for Kin to make that smokescreen even if it did hide his own movements. It also meant that since he hadn’t left it at all and instead stayed there in the first place. That he was practically stuck with that twenty five meters of space between the three of them in that triangular shape. To Karo’s left was where he was casting the Jutsu of the Earth Flowing River with those same hand seals. As about five meters to that same left a small patch of about one meter of ground suddenly crumbled away to reveal a patch of muddy water in its place. The water immediately began to expand and stretch out towards where the smoke cloud was. The river expanded just about 30 meters in length and 20 meters in width. Even if there was something inside of that smoke cloud was hidden. Karo would be able to suck it up and bury it into the ground with the earthen river sucking everything inside. As they’d need a strength stat of 90+ to even escape the Earthen River in the first place.

The river holding down Kin would also allow Karo to use this opportunity to also focus down his opponent to his right. That Jupiter looking fellow looked even older than he was. Yet he didn’t know what kind of abilities that his fellow Genin held. Karo’s amber eyes scan the man for a moment. Flicking back towards Kin to see if he made it out of the earth river at all.  With his one hand, Karo weaved the hand seals of Rat, Dog, Tiger, Rat. Knowing that this could be his chance to actually take two birds out with one single move. As without warning, Karo used the Searing Migraine Jutsu, sending out a ball of fire that was traveling at a speed of 90 and power of 90 directly towards Jupiter as well. Hopefully able to land a surprise attack on his fellow shinobi due to the surprise of using one hand seal against one of his own opponents.

Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Re: Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin

Sat Jun 04, 2022 6:45 am
Jupiter stood still in his corner, watching both of his opponents closely as the first one to move would cast a smoke bomb. He held his ground, preparing for whatever was to follow, when the red haired shinobi began to quickly cast his first set on handseals. Always one to err on the side of caution, the Genin would already immediately leap backwards by a full 40 meters at his normal speed of 46, placing the lean shinobi who had walked 25 meters from the center of the ring at a mere 35 meters from the ring's edge after covering a total distance of 65 meters after his leap. On both his sides stood stone archways placed 6 meters apart. This leap away from the center of the line between both his opponents would  effectively create a total distance of 87 meters between Jupiter and the stationary Karo, and another 87 meters between himself and the cloud of smoke cast by Kin. Earth style? He watched in awe as the river of mud beelined towards the shinobi on his right. He schemed as he slipped his right hand into one of his ninja pouches on his waist, scanning the area looking for a solution with his peripheral vision. He watched Karo waste no time performing his second technique, spitting out a ball of flames headed straight for Jupiter's thick flowing brown hair.

His dark brown eyes reflected the light from the soaring flames, but it would appear that he was now at a safe distance. Fire too? He was impressed, but a solemn expression soon overcame his brief enthusiasm. Not willing to take a chance, he hopped another 5 meters backwards as he cast a smoke bomb of his own in front of him - 2.5 meters in front of his landing spot - as his evasion made Karo's technique narrowly miss its mark. I need to get closer..  Within the shroud of the smoke that he had created, the shinobi formed a single hand seal - Ram - to spawn two identical visual apparitions of himself using Clone Technique, exactly 1 meter in front of him at 45 degree angles in both sides. From the smoke, a tall muscular figure would sprint out in a curved line along the circumference of the ring, 31 meters from its edge towards the red haired shinobi at a speed of 46 - aiming to cover a distance of 216 meters along a circular trajectory to reach the opposite side of the ring. His final destination, if successful, would place him 31 meters from the opposite edge of the ring, 139 meters from the far outer edge of the shroud of smoke, and 69 meters from the center of the circle towards the middle point between the original positions of Karo and Kin. Approaching from the right, the charge had a primary objective of pressuring Karo to move to his left, towards Kin. Behind the archway on the right, an identical figure waited in hiding, waiting for the smoke to clear and the feint to take its course before coming into play.

Behind the smoke, a third identical body acrobatically covered the remaining 30 meters to the very edge of the ring, before slipping off into its vertical slope - hopefully away from his opponents' obstructed line of sight. He infused chakra in his feet to stay upright on the vertical surface of side of the battleground. The elevation of the ring was 25 meters above the 10 meter trench, giving him ample space to run on the slope 12 meters from the surface of the trench, and 12 meters from the two dimensional plane of the surface of the battleground. From there, he sprinted to his right at his usual speed of 46 along the side of the ring, aiming to close the distance between him and his foes. It was 314 meters to the opposite end of the ring and eclipsing the puppeteer's original position in his path would place him 75 meters from the first shroud of smoke that was casted by his opponent. Although his general velocity was towards was the very opposite side of the ring, he may choose to stop in his tracks and make tactful changes to his trajectory should the circumstances change and reveal a more fruitful course of action. The bodies that ran on their leather strapped footwear showed the same solemn expression on their faces - bland while also maintaining an unwavering focus - and their long hair soared in the wind. From the slope, one was rapidly closing in on one of his opponents, hiding behind the horizon.

Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Re: Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin

Within the shroud of smoke, visibility may have been reduced, but that was only temporary. Besides, there were more, equally as good senses in which any skilled combatant could rely on. In this case, the prime example being hearing. Due to the lack of being able to see, this would be used to enhance hearing. Trading a reliability in one sense, to another in order to still be able to gather basic and necessary information.

Two things would be primarily heard before the shroud of smoke would fade. The first being a roaring sound comparable to thick water running through a trough, or when it rains heavily and there’s a lot of water being washed through a rain gutter. Judging from the point where it had started, it was assumed that the shinobi on the left hand side of Kin (Karo) had caused it. There wasn’t a fear for this though, instead, he’d hold his ground within the still moving cloud of gray vapor. That same sound would then come to a halt, about 25 meters away from where he was. From this halt of noise, it was inferred that whatever was causing it, had also come to a stop so there was no need to worry about whatever that was exactly.

Whereas, behind, that was another story. The rapid rush of footfall came clammoring in, each step closer making it louder and louder. Presumably the other genin, but that wasn’t confirmed. Another thing which was up in the air was where it was coming from. It had almost sounded like the foot steps were happening from outside the ring. There was a weirdness about the way the golden Akiyama heir was hearing it. There was something off about it. Like there was almost a faint echo; a minor indication of the probability that maybe whoever was coming this way was walking along the wall of the trench itself. However, as per the first two motions set by this, this still wasn’t proven to be true. Kin would still prepare for whoever it was though, popping out the bottom 2 arms on The Widow puppet, activating one of it’s mechanisms. The puppet would proceed to grab one of it’s arms, the socket of which hid a katana connected to it that was tucked away inside the construct’s body. For the other arm, he would let out another chakra thread and connect it to that one, having it planted within the ground 2 meters away from where he currently was.

This was then the moment that the veil had started to come down. As sight of the outside became more clear, he would finally get to take in what was actually happening. The two others were nearing each other in distance, the one looked to have shot out some sort of fireball at the other. Kin would use this temporary distraction to send The Widow lurching forward, it’s chakra threads still invisible so they couldn’t be traced to where they were coming from. As long as something didn’t happen along the way, it would end up 5 meters behind Karo. It’s second mechanism would be revealed. A vicious wail would come forth from it’s mouth, flipping up the golden veil, revealing a blank face with only a mouth. This wail would then take on a width of 5 meters, and travel forth 10 meters. If contact was made between the blast of sound and the other Suna nin, they would find themselves damaged by it’s intensity and potentially defeaned.

Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Re: Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin

Sat Jun 04, 2022 9:30 pm
Karo had seen that both of his jutsu just weren’t long enough to actually hit his opponents head on like he wanted to. Which wasn’t the main issue he was going to have to deal with when it came to the rather large space that all of them had between each other. As Jupiter seemed to be trying to hide his movements with the smoke cloud. Which parallels Kin in that regard, which meant that he had to be patient with his own movements. The safest place here that Karo could think of was the river right in front of him that he made himself. Karo simply just had to activate the ability to walk on the Earthen waves he was on. Maintaining the river wasn’t too hard even if it sapped his Chakra just a tiny bit more to be stable. He would be needing it for later as he walked about 15 meters across the 30 meters long and 20 meters wide river of earth that would give him a clear advantage when dealing with the other two ranged wise. As he now had a better way of keeping himself calm just in case one of them actually tried to do something towards him. Yet it seemed he’d finally get his answer as the muscular frame of Jupiter launched itself out of the smoke and made a mad dash around the 200 meter arena.

Yet at the moments after the smoke began to clear itself was the moment Karo had to act fast as he knew that both of them were going to try and sandwich something together in order to try and attack him. Yet he welcomed the challenge that the two other genin had given him. It made him have to think about his own actions and what he was doing that could endanger his chances of becoming Chunin. But now was the time to act serious against Kin now, especially as that puppet went sailing towards Karo. Immediately upon the reaction he could be given. Karo weaved the hand seals Horse →  Rat →  Ram →  Tiger in order to use a more defensive technique that would incinerate the puppet should it get into the range of the 15 meter dome of fire that suddenly swirled all around Karo as a result. The flames move at a speed of 90 and a similar power of 90 all around Karo in that 15 meter large dome.

The puppet that was five meters behind him would be incinerated before they had time to use the wailing ability of the widow in question. As once they moved close enough to Karo it would be all over for that puppet. Yet Karo simply was not done with his own precautions just in case Jupiter had any sort of neat tricks that he would like to share with the other two. As Karo immediately decided to risk it with what he was saving. Weaving the hand seals for Hare, Monkey, Dragon, Tiger in an instant. Karo’s own form seemed to glow with chakra, as almost an aura of chakra had surrounded him like that of a cloak.  And with that Karo was mostly satisfied for right now as he knew he was expending just a bit more chakra then he should have to. But it was best to try and see what his opponents could do before he actually revealed more of the defensive jutsu he was saving up.

Sunagakure Chunin Exam: Jupiter VS Karo VS Kin Empty Just the Tip

Sun Jun 05, 2022 10:15 am
From behind the archway placed 90 meters away from the other two Genin, from Jupiter's original position when he had cast the smoke bomb, emerged another identical vessel - standing at 6'1 donning thick long flowing brown hair and a thicker beard of the same color. Staring at  The Lover with dark brown eyes, he had high cheekbones, a sharp jawline and a bland expression. This part of Jupiter's scheme had already been set in motion when one body dashed madly at Karo and the other's footsteps made the Akiyama heir pause and think for just a moment. As The Widow lunged in Karo's direction, the third and final piece in play made a move -  sprinting towards the thin,  dissipating smoke - which by now was all but completely withered - and the towering, robed cuboid puppet, The Lover at a speed of 46. Upon reaching within 20 meters of The Lover, a 20 meter leap forward with an open hand aimed at the body of the puppet would aim to close the distance, finally placing the puppet within arm's reach.

The first body to sprint had a longer distance to cover - running along the circumference of the circle meant there was more ground to cover than if the trajectory had been in a straight line. This was deliberate and purposeful - it was meant to buy more time and approach from a specific angle that Jupiter believed would be ideal for the plan that he had conceived. As The Widow lunged towards Karo, the red haired shinobi Karo reacted swiftly to summon a dome of fire covering a 15 meter radius around him. Whether the lunging puppet was in range or not, it remained to be seen as the moments right after were blurred and censored by the scorching heat that would follow. The soaring flames vastly incinerated the landscape around Karo, reducing the shrubbery closest to his flames completely into rubble. Further, the shrubs that were not completely reduced to ash remained aflame, making patches of the terrain harder to access without taking the proper safety precautions, thus reducing the surface area available to all of the three Genin. Specifically, the shrubs at the tip of the outer edge of the flame directly in front of Karo were still ablaze, rendering one circular area of a 5 meter radius whose outer edge lies 10 meters ahead of Karo towards the center of the ring difficult to trespass. The two 20 meter tall trees on his either side would lose all its leaves and topple over away from him on both sides, possibly compromising a last minute retreat from the lunging puppet as the falling tree now added an additional 5 meters to the danger zone. Upon collapsing, the tree that fell to Karo's right would break down into logs of varying length between 1 and 3 meters and scatter on impact, sending the smaller pieces rolling far and wide. The trunk of the thicker tree on the left would remain mostly in one piece, but it would be charred beyond recognition. The graphics could have been a little better..

On Karo's left, the approaching assailant closing in on him would still be sprinting towards him from afar while the dome expanded to its maximum distance of 15 meters, once again out of range as the circular path was designed to approach the shinobi from a roundabout route, approaching the Genin from a sharp angle. Undeterred by the heat of the flame and the cloak of aura that now shrouded Karo,  a lateral reposition to avoid the toppling tree followed by a fearless leap forward with an extended hand within 20 meters of the red haired shinobi would once again serve to close the distance, which bring the fire and earth style user within arm's reach. To Karo's left still, 10 meters behind the leaping threat, the flames would spread through shrubs and isolated trees like a forest fire, forming a 10 meter long arc of flames rapidly ascending 10 meters into the air.

Beyond the horizon, like the Sun before dawn, a Jashinist lied in wait. The commotion on the surface helped mask his movement and repositioning on the side of the elevated ring. He was now 75 meters directly behind The Lover's original position, and quiet. A thick charred piece of log rolled towards him from the surface. Its loud tumbling alarmed the shinobi soon enough to allow him to get out of the way while it splashed into the trench below. Another two logs, slightly thinner, about 1 meter long each would both come his way, but instead of immediately rolling all the way out of the ring, their tips had only barely crossed the surface above.
