The Looks

Guren matured at a young age, both mentally and physically. From his well pronounced beard, to his chiseled features he could easily be mistaken for someone 5 to 10 years older. Likely Guren has already reached the limits of his growth, touting a tall-ish and fit frame with a longer than average wingspan. An athletic build.

While particular of his appearance, Guren is his own barber. Although years of unmanaged hair growth caused his hair to “lock up”, now he maintains the upkeep of these braids himself. After retwisting his hair, he spends time edging both his hair and beard line up to be presentable.

His angular eyebrows and naturally grey irises yield an unintentional intensity to Guren. Combine this with the cracked and scarred aspects of his face, and one would think the living conditions of Wind Country’s harsh desert had hardened him. And this would be partially true. Guren acquired his signature red and black hooded trench coat to combat these harsh winds and heat. Although appearing simple, it is quite adaptive, allowing for comfort during the scorching day time and warmth during the chilling nights. Underneath this trench coat, he wears clothes befitting of a shinobi prepared for any situation.

The Personality

Curious above all else.

Guren’s curiosity is driven by a thirst for knowledge and understanding. He wishes to understand all things of the shinobi world, and of himself. Secrets, jutsu, clans, history, the list is endless. To gain a grasp on the world around him, he finds that he often needs to start within. For Guren, this always begin with meditation and self-reflection. Being aware of his feelings, fears, and ambitions grant him the insight needed to understand those aspects of the world around him.

The bulk of his personality can be attributed to that curiosity. This leads to researching topics of interest, being extremely observant, and (when time allows) getting lost in thought. This curiosity drives his superior intellect, urging Guren to focus on his studies and sieve every opportunity to learn.
Guren also is keen on furthering his abilities. Holistically, he believes that by learning he can make himself stronger. By becoming stronger, he can fit into the mold of what he hopes to learn his purpose is. But this desire to become strong shouldn’t be mistaken for boisterous intensity. Instead, it is more of a calm confidence that Guren carries himself with.

In terms of morality, Guren is neutral. He is enthused and protective over things that interest him, yet disinterested if there is nothing for him to gain. Thus, he sees reason in controversial philosophies: the end justifying the means, necessary sacrifices, deception. Sometimes questionable actions must be taken to ensure holistic results.

Overall, Guren keeps to himself and desires to further his personal goals.
