Temple Style: Disparity between Heaven and Earth
Fri Nov 19, 2021 2:44 pm
Name: Temple Style: Disparity between Heaven and Earth
Element: --
Rank: S
Specialty: Weaponry
Particular Jutsu Type: --
Backstory: In the eyes of the Wolf Monks, conflict is derived from mankind's constant search for meaning in a world that seems inherently meaningless. This disparity between man and divine has been the spark of many debates, and as such was the inspiration behind the naming of this technique. Perhaps the act of questioning itself carries its own reward.
Appearance: A cone of force emanating from the user's weapon. Ambient chakra finds itself sticking together during the area of effect, creating small luminescent flecks that look akin to fireflies. This technique creates an odd sound when utilized, oft likened to a low whistle.
Handseals: --
Duration: Until maximum range has been reached.
Cooldown: 4 posts
Range: 50m
Power: Speed
Speed: Speed
Health: --
Stat Boosts: --
What it does: The user channels chakra into their weapon and thrusts it forwards violently- this motion can be a jab or swing as long as it is a forward motion. This creates a cone of force that emanates from the user's weapon- but does not harm the user's weapon- that travels forward at jutsu speed until it hits the 50m range. At maximum range, this technique is 40m wide and 40m tall. This attack clashes with chakra-based jutsu on equal terms. Any techniques caught in Disparity that are lower than the power of this jutsu will be forcefully dissipated and put on cooldown; otherwise, they are unaffected. Obviously, this does not apply to genjutsu.
If a character (or clone, summon, etc) is caught in this field of effect, they will be subject to a stat check. Unless their strength is greater or equal to Disparity's power, all of their current cooldowns will be 'reset' to their maximum value.
Anything caught in the cone of effect (excluding the user's weapon, of course) is subject to shredding damage at jutsu power.
