preparation part 2

The time was nearly here. With Ai having won the first round of the tournament, They'd gotten some time off, but tomorow was the big day. The twins met in the kitchen of the floor they shared in their underground mansion. Even after Ai explained to saya that she'd not actually used any of the seals she'd been given, her little sister was insistent that there was something she needed to do to prep for this match. 

"Aya... What exactly did you need? You know I have your absorbtion and chakra seals.... Did you learn something new?" She sipped her tea slowly, waiting for the inevitable word vomit from the tiny terror. It did in fact come. 

"YES Ok. So i was working on my fuinjutsu and I found this other seal that does some of the same stuff as seal of absorbtion. It's not as good cuz it can't negate jutsus completely but my seals don't work as powerfully on you so it doesnt matter. Lemme see your arm pease." She reached out, not allowing Ai the time to actually answer. Forming seals, she would break the first two seals of absorbtion. THe technique was becoming second nature to the senju girl as she continued her sealing practice. FInally she would form seals again, and a small circle formed on her forarm.

"Is. Is that it? Is it done?" The more she learned, the more she was amazed by the power of fuinjutsu. It was like ninjutsu kinda.... only like. for later. Figuring out how to use the spec was high on her list, though it would be some time. She expected she would need to match her little sisters power before she could unlock the secrets of anything more complex than puppetry and ninjutsu. Was it really that complex? Maybe it wasn't complexity as much as unfamiliarity. Saya had struggled with it at one point too. THankfully she'd had keita. Thankfully she had her sister. 

"Yep. I need to put another one on you of course, but I gotta wait a bit. Yanno how sometimes you have to wait a bit before using a jutsu again even though you have the chakra? it's like that. " She did. It was a wierd thing to understand, but there seemed to be some isue that stopped their bodies from casting techniques over and over. Maybe it was the toll it placed on the body?

"Gotcha. And these will work like the other one does? Except without being able to just absorb things?" The response intitally was just a nod. Saya wasn't actually looking at her. Instead her eyes glanced over the pages of a booklet that she'd started when she was young. Within the pages were small bits and pieces of knowlege she'd gained about mostly ninjutsu or the crafting of puppetry.

"Yes. effectively it will work exactly the same for you as seal of absorbtion does. Except its shaped a bit different. THis one is a dome, which is why the symbol is a circle instead of the diamond symbol with stylistic chains that wrap around it. So with the seal set on you, the power of the fuin won't really be strong enough to affect anything the way I would use it, but it can draw some of the strength from a jutsu that is threatening you. Should be super helpful against Dana. She does the same stuff I do. " Ai nodded as she listened. Even as she went into a detailed explaination, Sayas eyes never left the pages she shifted through slowly. 

"Right. You taught her most of her jutsu right? I think I remember that--or at least I remember from being PupAIt. Alright. So if I see something that looks too tough for me to beat I use one of these?"  A part of her felt like she was cheating a little. Was it cheating? There weren't any rules about having seals placed on you by someone else, but Saya was the only sealing ninja she'd seen around, so there was little chance that Dana would have the same boons. To be fair, She knew that having her team help out, especially since it was Saya who created her, probably wasn't an issue.

"exactly. All you have to do is pop one of these and hopefully it'll bring it down to a more managable level. Just remember: You still have to respond to the technique after the seal works its magic. It's a tool to help out but not an answer in and of itself. I heard Ragnar introduced you to another of the otter brook clan?" Ai had almost forgotten. She'd met another of the clan heads a few weeks ago. Largetha? That sounds right. 

"Yea. Largetha. She's a ninjutsu specialist like us. I think she also does like. Sensory stuff or something like that. Seems pretty fierce, so I hope having her on the battlefield will be helpful. I can probably summon her one of these days when you arent busy. I'm sure she'd love to meet you." While Saya had the advantage over her sister in ninjutsu and pupetry, She'd gained a small boon in her summon ability. WIth two summons at her disposal she had access to twice the strength of the otters of stormrun lake. She thought back to her battle in the wierd dream world. Could she have really completed the combat without Ragnar?

"That would honestly be great. I could use a second summon for the technique i'm working on. "

"oh? Have you finally decided that you need to invest time into your Senjutsu? Yanno ragnar complains about your inability to draw nature energy without him all the time. " Saya grinned at this. Of course he did. They all knew the chances of her actually being able to draw it herself was low. She was just too active to be able to sit calmly like that. Maybe she could get a puppet to do it or something. With her power pulsing, Saya took her sister's wrist once more. SHe formed the seals for the jutsu ability reduction zone again, placing a second seal beside the first. Now she just needed to check her work. 

"Ok. So you have your chakra storage seal, Two seals of absorbtion, and now two justsu ability reduction zone seals. Looks like your'e all set. Are you sure you don't wanna use freyja?" With her recent power increase they both knew she could finally control the s ranked puppet, but that would be against the terms of the tournament,

"No no. You know i'm not allowed. It's genin power level techniques only. " OF course. With their preparation finished and tea drunk the pair would split once more. It was time for Ai to focus on the fight at hand. That meant it was time for her to start writing.
