Shin would take note of the look Enrai sent his way as he moved over the swamp he created, as well as the mans shrug… before he took note of the strange black threads shoot out through the sole of his right foot and shot towards the incapacitated male. He would watch impassively as they impaled him, although he would feel a light smirk form on his face as he watched Enrai rip the mans heart out that way. A strange trophy, but he had worked with people who had much stranger and somehow more macabre taste than that in the past. What he didn’t expect, however, was for the strange threads to pull said heart directly into his body. Shin, who had worked with Enrai quite a bit in the past, knew the mans body was not normal by even the most stretched definition of the word… his Byakugan simply couldn’t NOT notice it. But this… this was new, but instead of being disgusted or repulsed by it… Shin was curious. Why exactly had he taken the mans heart? He knew Enrai well, or at least he liked to think he did, and he suspected that the man wouldn’t have done such an act without a reason. He would watch, with no outward expression, as the man repeated the process with the woman.

When Enrai spoke he would give a light chuckle

“Heh, they’re dead as they possibly can be, buried at the bottom of that swamp and missing their hearts to boot.” He would say through his chuckle, before nodding and gesturing his head back towards the portcullis behind them that had begun to open.

“Sounds good to me, I know a nice place nearby. And while we’re there I hope you don’t mind if I ask you some questions about what I just saw, it’s an interesting and powerful ability you have there, and I would like to learn some more about it” The Assassin would then say, before the dup presumably began to move down the tunnel they had just entered from.

And just like that, it was over. The two twins, for all their work, all their effort, went out with a whimper. Trapped under the mud, with no chance of escape. Akula felt the air in her lungs slowly began to fade as she started to struggle and gasp for breath. Yet with each inhale brought more and more mud into her lungs, and her mind began to slip away. She guessed it was their final moments after all. With her last remaining dregs of consciousness, Akula wondered if it was all worth it. That if maybe she had trained a little more, they wouldn't have gotten into this situation. She guessed she would never know, as she faded into the blackness of sleep.

And with that, the two Hoshigaki lay there beneath the sand, doomed to lay in that sandy tomb, devoid of heart or life.
