Appearance: The jutsu has no outward appearance, but it allows the user to see the color of chakra for a jutsu being created.

What it does: At C rank, this technique allows the user to detect the basic elemental nature of a single jutsu that is being formed. This is used to give the user an elemental advantage if they can [i.e., a fire technique being built up being met with a water technique.] It can also help a user learn a jutsu if they are being taught a new element - thus giving the user a 15% discount on words to learn the new element. At B rank, the user can detect all of the basic elements of anyone in range of this technique.
This cannot be used in combat to learn a jutsu at a discounted amount.
