It was me, Ayato!

Living in the Land of Haven would be considered by some to be a dream come true. Living outside of the walls and the safety of a ninja village, made ends meet a difficult task. That is if the outlaws festering these lands did not get to you first.

Amidst the busy streets, a young man sat on a vacant bench, reading a book with a hard leather cover. His well-groomed dark hair was a major giveaway of his noble status. His white eyes were fixated on the paper his ears were alert for something or someone. Normally, a seventeen-year-old would either be going on a date with a girl their age, working, or sitting at home, but Ayato was in the middle of something of greater importance. 

His waiting was rewarded when with his peripheral vision he noticed a particular man, walking down the street who frequently glanced around. Unlike the civilians that came by, the person wore a black uniform with the badge of a white shield emblazoned into the left side of the chest. A white porcelain mask was clipped on his leather windburnt belt. He was one of the Nova Corp, the ANBU unit that in this village was labeled as the local heroes similar to those straight out of a fairytale. However, these kinds of heroes were a rare sight nowadays. And Jak Dosser was none of those. A dirty contaminated degenerate that was known for abuse of power, black market connections, and all sorts of things most missing-nin would be engaged in. 

Albeit that the one was redeemed and all his sins forgiven once he pledged his ninja services into Hoshigakure. It was Yasaki's choice for his adoptive brother.

"You reading a self-improvement book?" 

 "An autobiography of sorts," Letting out an annoyed sigh, the taijutsu specialist closed the book with a soft thud. "Reports of the last Kage Summit, just in case." 

"Regretting your decision to attend?" Asked the grizzled veteran. 

"Absolutely not." The Byakugan heir responded back. "Trying to avoid a big drama show." Albeit to match the events that occurred during that shitshow Ayato would need to make an otherworldly attempt. 

Placing the book in the storage displacement dimension, Ayato waited for the rest of his party, Yasaki and Tsubaki arrive.

The remaining two arrived in good time. Tsunaki upon arrival asked if they were waiting for anyone else to arrive, to which Ayato confirmed they did. And before long Yasaki would make his appearance as well. After exchanging a unique handshake with his brother Jakosaki before placing his massive hand on Ayato's thin shoulder. "This all on you my friend. I'll leave the next chapter for you." The man who showed up for Hoshi during the village's darkest hour said. For that Ayato would be always thankful. Responding with a courteous nod, the Hyuuga clan lord vanished into thin air.
