Kusari was little disappointed in Aroma, she was eliminated right off the bat, he had expected more. Kusari leaned back as he continued to watch the events unfold, just watching as the girl was dragged away "Shame" he uttered out softly. It reminded him of a mission he had once went on, was practically over before it even began, he shook his head. and continued, it was developing very differently then he expected, it really seemed like the ex jounin was trying to make a name for himself other then the name he had at this time. It was until her voice cut through the fog of his mind. That voice.....hearing it again....it always did something to the pit of his stomach....His eyes would dart in her direction . she was addressing someone else. Of course. He would look back to the scene below. Watching as the medical ninja escorted the injured girl out and the match was shortly after resumed.

The voice of hers echoed in his ear however. It made him think back to the academy days, when he was made to sit in the front row cause he made a goof of himself, he was scared back then to show his potential. if only a oppertunity would arise to allow him to showcase to her that he is no longer that goofball he was back then. He shook the thoughts from his head as he caught himself staring at her and looked at the kid who was watching even more intently then himself. It took a moment and then he recalled that Ichigo had said something to him and he would look over at him "Sorry about that...Uh, Yea I was hoping to build teams, but we seem to have Genin dropping out of the ninja program for the time being at least, so for the most part you are looking at the active ninja of the village." Kusari was of course sad to say that. However a new fire was lite within him now. He wanted to make a name for himself as well, he remembered seeing a challenge to take on one of the S-rank Missing Ninja that resided within the depths of Warmongers and the reward would be a rank up. He could use that as his oppertunity to showcase his skills.

But for now this was about the kids below. and he watched with much intrest.
